Definitions
- the present invention relates to a process for the preparation of indigo dyed cotton warp yarns having an "inverse denim" effect and textile articles containing such cotton warp yarns.
- Denim is a relatively coarse cotton fabric that was originally used for heavy-duty workwear but is now used to make fashionable denim products.
- the warp yarns required for the production of denim can be dyed with indigo, but also with sulfur dyes, in particular sulfur black, with the blue color predominantly outweighing with indigo.
- the warp yarn is dyed as a cable or warp with indigo on special dyeing equipment, consisting of a combination of one or more troughs with squeezing and subsequent aisle. In the troughs, the reduced dye is applied and oxidized in the aeration (see, for example, Technical Information TI / T 017 d BASF AG of June 1995, title: Continuous dyeing with indigo).
- the dyeing in a dyebath at room temperature or slightly elevated temperatures of about 20 - 35 ° C, a pH of about 10.5 to 14 and an indigo concentration of about 0.5 to 10 g / l is performed.
- wetting agents in a concentration of about 0.1 to 5 g / l can be used.
- an excess of hydrosulfite (reducing agent) in amounts of about 0.1 to 5 g / l is used.
- the contact time of the yarn with the dyebath is usually 8 to 30 seconds per turn.
- Dyeing in several passes ie the repeated application of dye from the dyebath by dipping with subsequent squeezing in the dyeing trough and the subsequent aeration, allows the achievement of greater depths of color (see, for example, ITB finishing 2/90, title: Indigo-Dyeing: Process- and technical solutions, author: Dipl. Ing. L. Haas).
- German Patent Application 196 29 985 describes dyeing with a draw in which, in order to overcome the low absorption capacity of indigo, the salt bath in the form of sodium chloride is additionally added to the dyebath in order to adjust an electrolyte concentration of 200 to 350 g / l.
- ring dyeing i. the Fiber is only stained on the surface, whereas the inside of the fiber, the Core, remains undyed.
- the ring dyeing allows ready-made Denimiser in special washing and / or bleaching a high-contrast Appearance in which a lightening of the initially dark blue colored Goods are obtained (wash-down).
- wash-down the well-known stone-wash effect called by washing the prefabricated article with enzymes and Pimples is achieved.
- the process according to the invention thus is ideally a colorless Product obtained by removing the colorless ring and exposing of the dyed core can be dark blue.
- Indigo dyeing plants are in the context of the present invention facilities understood, consisting of one or a combination of several staining troughs Quetschwerk and subsequent air passages exist (see for example ITB Refinement 2/90, title: Indigo-Dyeing: Process and Machine Engineering Solutions, author: Dipl. Ing. L. Haas).
- indigo any commercially available indigo can be used. It is preferably used in amounts of 10 to 50 g / l, more preferably in amounts of 20 to 40 g / l. It is particularly advantageous to carry out the process according to the invention with prereduced indigo. It is ideally used prereduced indigo, which has been prepared without the use of reducing agents, such as sodium dithionite, but by catalytic hydrogenation of indigo. Indigo is very particularly advantageously used in the form of a solution of leucoindigo, as described, for example, in EP 1 097 184 B1 and offered by DyStar Textile Colours GmbH & Co. Kunststoff KG on the market.
- hydrosulfite a compound that has a hydrosulfite that has a hydrosulfite that has a hydrosulfite.
- suitable reducing agents for example glucose or hydroxyacetone, or combinations of various reducing agents, such as glucose / hydrosulfite, may also be used instead of the hydrosulfite.
- the inventive method is preferably at a temperature of 30 - 90 ° C carried out, with temperatures of 50 to 70 ° C are preferred.
- the process according to the invention can be carried out with and without wetting agent be, it is preferably carried out in the presence of a wetting agent.
- Suitable wetting agents are, for example, anionic wetting agents, for example Fatty alcohol ethoxylate, alkanesulfonate, sulfosuccinate, alkyl phosphate or also Paraffins and hydrocarbons, or mixtures of these wetting agents, whole Particular preference is given to using salts of phosphoric acid esters
- the wetting agents mentioned are preferably used in quantities of 5 to 50 g / l, particularly preferably 10 to 25 g / l used.
- the pH of the dyebath is preferred in the process according to the invention in the range of 10.5 to 13.5.
- the process according to the invention already takes place in one go to be colored, i. also in the core dyed, yarns. It is the Contact time with the dyebath preferably 8 to 30 seconds, especially preferably 15 to 20 seconds. The subsequent aeration will take 90 hours to 130 seconds, more preferably 100 to 110 seconds.
- the indigo is selectively decolorized on the surface of the cotton warp yarn, leaving the core of the yarn unchanged.
- Suitable bleaches are any systems which oxidize indigo, for example hypochlorites, such as sodium hypochlorite or permanganate.
- permanganate which is present for example in the form of an alkali metal salt, particularly preferably in the form of potassium permanganate.
- a bleaching bath which contains potassium permanganate in an alkaline medium, with potassium permanganate preferably being used in amounts of from 5 to 100 g / l, particularly preferably in amounts of from 20 to 50 g / l.
- the pH is preferably 8 to 10 and can be adjusted, for example, with NaOH, for example with NaOH 38 ° Be.
- the bleaching step is carried out at 15 to 90 ° C, preferably at room temperature.
- the contact time with the bleaching bath is preferably 10 to 30 seconds, more preferably 12 to 20 seconds.
- after dyeing through the cotton warp yarn in the dyeing step it is preferably rinsed several times with water, then bleached with permanganate as described, then rinsed again and then treated with a bisulfite solution and the cycle of bleaching, rinsing and bisulfite treatment at least once repeated. It is particularly advantageous to cycle through the bleaching, rinsing and bisulphite cycle four to six times.
- the ring effect achieved by bleaching can be further enhanced.
- the rinsing between bleach and Bisulfitbad can be done in 1 to 3 trains and connected with an aisle of 0 to 120 seconds.
- the bisulfite bath contains bisulfite preferably in amounts of 10 to 100 g / l, particularly preferably 20 to 50 g / l. Also to the bisulfite bath is a Connect the aisle from 0 to 120 seconds.
- the dyeing step of inventive method is completed after only a train. He has namely the possibility of the subsequent bleaching step, if appropriate including rinsing and optionally treating with bisulfite in the other, for Dyeing to carry out unneeded dyeing of his indigo dyeing plant. Thus, no or only minor modifications of the system are needed.
- the dyed by the novel process cotton warp yarns can further treatment steps to achieve certain effects be subjected and then woven in a conventional manner and known and textile articles intended for the final consumer, in particular articles of clothing, are processed.
- Cotton warp yarns also interwoven and blended with other materials Articles for the end user to be further processed.
- Mixtures with spandex called.
- the "inverse denim" effect of the invention dyed and bleached Cotton warp yarns can be made visible by, for example, that the undyed outer ring of the yarn by washing or otherwise mechanical stress is removed and thereby the dark colored Core comes to light.
- the surface of the cotton warp yarn which has been decolorized in the bleaching step is stabilized in a third step.
- the "inverse-denim" effect can be enhanced by treating the surface with, for example, TiO 2 in the presence of binders such as acrylate copolymer or polyurethane.
- the surface can be not only white, but also color-modified, such as with colored pigments, such as vat dyes, which are in pigment form, or even disperse dyes.
- the first step to a time after weaving the cotton warp yarn, for example only on the ready-made textile product.
- the present invention also relates to textile articles which Cotton warp yarns containing the process according to the invention to be obtained.
- textile articles are, for example, unassembled Denim fabrics, but especially clothing such as pants, skirts, Shirts, jackets etc. or other textile articles.
- the dyed yarn obtained in A) was dyed with potassium permanganate (20 g / l) at a temperature of 25 ° C and a pH of 8.5.
- the contact time with the bleaching bath was 18 seconds.
- the yarn was fed directly into a bath of 30 g / l hydrosulfite (pH 8.5, temperature: 25 ° C) and then rinsed at 20 ° C.
- the cycle of bleaching, treatment with hydrosulfite and rinsing was then repeated twice.

Abstract
