Definitions
- the invention relates to a device according to the preamble of Claim 1.
- a device of this type is described, for example, by EP-1 186 558 A of the applicant.
- a rotating one Drums are made from a stack of folded or unfolded printed products withdrawn and fed to a collecting channel.
- the printed products are in the collection channel immediately and without changing direction fed.
- the facility works according to the so-called Principle of longitudinal deduction.
- the deduction direction is also the Direction of transport of the processing line.
- the mechanical structure of such devices is usually based on the principle of the drum feeder with single drive.
- the drum circumference corresponds essentially to the division of the processing line, for example a collection chain.
- processing lines are used, for example, for the production of books used in perfect binders.
- the usual division of such processing lines is 24 "and 18", but there are other divisions, for example 20 "possible.
- 24" division is the drum diameter 200 mm and a production of about 15,000 cycles / hour is common.
- With a processing line with an 18 "collection chain and an 18" drum feeder is one correspondingly higher production output of 18,000 cycles / hour common.
- a facility intended for a 24 "collection chain could be on an 18 "chain by installing a limp drive for Adjusted to achieve a correspondingly higher production output become.
- the limp drive should be set so that the transfer of the printed product to the processing line format-specific with the division in position and speed matches.
- the rotating drive device or take-off drum would have to run slowly at first, but then accelerate be so that the subsequent pull-off process is clocked again could start. Such a change in speed would, however endanger process security.
- a take-off drum could be used replaced by one with a smaller diameter become. However, this would have the disadvantage that with one smaller drum diameter of, for example, 150 mm Gripping organ with the necessary mechanics is difficult could be accommodated.
- the invention has for its object a device to create the type mentioned, which has the disadvantages mentioned above avoids.
- the device is thus intended for different processing lines with different divisions with optimal Production output can be used and is nevertheless inexpensive to produce his.
- the task is with a facility according to claim 1 solved.
- the device When processing print products with the largest format, for example 24 “, the device works as usual.
- the gripping means and the conveying means are over the entire angular range firmly connected.
- the device can be easily switched or switched become.
- the gripping means is in each case one accelerated predetermined angular range. With this acceleration the gripping means catch up with the rotation at each cycle is missing.
- the fact that for the deduction process in usually just a small angular window of, for example 128 ° is required for the withdrawal process. Stand to catch up thus, for example, 232 ° available.
- the facility can thereby the performance of a processing line with a shorter one Division, for example at 18 "the output of 18,000 cycles / hour, to reach. Since the scope of the feeder device or There is no need to downsize the feed drum Difficulty in housing the gripping member and the necessary mechanics.
- Step switch is a Maltese cross gear.
- This training is based on the knowledge that the above usual 24 "and 18" divisions behave like 4 to 3.
- a Feeder drum for 24 "division (609.6 mm) makes one per cycle Revolution and for an 18 "pitch (457.2 mm) only 3 ⁇ 4 of a revolution.
- the pull-off process comes for an 18 "processing line each by a quarter turn late.
- With a Maltese cross gear can now with an 18 "division accordingly the missing rotation of the gripping means be caught up.
- the peripheral speed of the conveyor element corresponds to the speed the processing line. Because the funding body is designed for 24 "and the division of the processing line is only 18 ", the speed of the conveyor is three-quarters one for the processing line with 24 "pitch provided funding body with the same scope. The funding body rotates slower than at 18 "and 18,000 cycles / hour Conveyor for a 24 "processing line with 15,000 cycles / hour. The withdrawal process is also slower, whereby the kinetostatic conditions in all relevant Movements, for example with suction cups, retainers and grippers become cheaper and, in particular, more reliable. At higher Performance is thus at the same time increased security.
- a 4-jet internal Maltese cross gear is particularly suitable, in which the catch-up process can be spread over 180 ° can and with which particularly smooth transitions are possible.
- the invention also relates to a device with a processing line, with which on the principle of the longitudinal deduction Print products can be stored in a collecting channel.
- the device 1 shown in Figures 1 to 3 has a magazine M on, in which printed products 3 are stacked one above the other.
- the printed products 3 are in particular folded or unfolded printed sheets that are used for the production of, for example, books, Brochures, magazines and the like can be used.
- the printed products 3 are each individually with an application device A subtracted from magazine M and according to FIG. 4 in a collecting channel 4 filed.
- the collecting channel 4 is with a Collection chain 15 provided, for example, at a distance of 24 " or 18 "driver 14 and in particular an endless Link chain is.
- Such collecting chains 15 are good for the person skilled in the art known and need not be explained in more detail here.
- the Distance between adjacent drivers 14 corresponds to that above mentioned division. This is, for example, 24 "or 18 ". However, other divisions are also possible here.
- the figure 4 shows a pitch T of 24 "of a collecting chain 15.
- the device 1 works on the so-called principle of Along deduction.
- the direction in which the printed sheets 3 from the Feeder device A is transported corresponds essentially the direction of transport of the collection chain 15. This is in the Figure 4 is shown schematically.
- the division T is matched to the distance between head edge 3a and foot edge 3b.
- the feeder device A operates isochronously to the collection chain 15.
- a printed product is placed between two drivers 14 3 filed.
- the printed products 3 stored in the collecting channel 4 become for example an adhesive binder only indicated in FIG. 4 35 or another processing line supplied.
- the feeder device A consists essentially of a funding F and a gripper means G. With the gripper means G the printed products 3 are each individually from the stack of the magazine M deducted and with the funding F the captured Printed products 3 transported into the collecting channel 4.
- the gripper means G have a gripper drum 10 which a hollow shaft 20 control discs 25 to 29 with corresponding Has control curves.
- the firmly connected to the hollow shaft 20 Control discs 25 to 28 and the control disc attached to the frame 12 29 are used to control the means known per se for pulling and gripping the printed products 3.
- the control disc 25 is used to control vacuum valves, not shown here, which Control disc 28 for controlling suction cups 5, the control disc 27 for controlling a retainer 6 shown in FIG. 1, the control disk 26 for controlling a not shown here and known dab roller and the control disc 29 for Control of at least one gripper 7.
- the conveying means F have a conveying drum 11 which is clock-synchronized to the collecting chain 15 is driven by a motor 16, which has a gear 17 and preferably a servo motor is.
- An endless conveyor belt 13 is placed around the conveyor drum 11, that for the transport of the withdrawn printed products 3 with another conveyor belt 40 cooperates.
- the gripper drum 10 and the conveyor drum 11 are mounted on a frame 12, bearing plates 12a and 12b.
- Another bearing plate 12c of the frame 12 serves to support a shaft 19, by rotating a driver cam 21 with the hollow shaft 20 and thus with the gripper drum 10 or with the bearing plate 12c is connectable.
- the driver cam 21 can can be moved in the axial direction on a protruding handle 23.
- the driver cam 21 engages in one Slot 22 of the hollow shaft 20 and in the other position the driver cam 21 is located outside the slot 22 in a recess 24 of the bearing plate 12c.
- the shaft 19 is rotationally fixed connected to the frame 12.
- the driver cam 21 could can also be replaced by another suitable connecting means.
- the funding F and the gripper G are with an internal Maltese cross gear K coupled together.
- the well-known Inner Maltese cross gear K has a crank 8, the at a distance from an axis of rotation 38 has a roller 8a, which engages in slots 9a of the Maltese cross.
- the Maltese Cross 9, as can be seen, is a four-jet Maltese cross.
- the Maltese cross gear K shown here is here just an example of a clutch and especially for a step switch.
- a Maltese cross gear is known a stepper transmission with non-uniform output movement.
- the conveyor drum 11 is the drive member and in this case the gripping drum 10 the output member.
- the crank 8 also has a distance from the axis of rotation 38 a gear 32 which is fixedly connected to the crank 8 and that with a pin 33 in a blind hole 34 of the gripper drum 10 intervenes.
- the axis of the pin 33 forms the axis of rotation of the Crank 8 and this can be on a circle with the center move on the axis of the shaft 19.
- This gear 32 meshes with Change of direction with an intermediate gear shown in Figure 1 31, which is attached to the gripper drum 10 and in turn meshes with a gear 30 which rotatably with the shaft 19th connected is.
- the gears 32 and 30 have each other Gear ratio 1: 1.
- the driver cam 21 is located in that shown in FIG. 3 Position, the crank 8 transmits the in an angular range Rotation of the conveyor drum 11 on the gripper drum 10 that this is accelerated. This is the case if the roller 8a in one of the four slots 9a of the Maltese cross 9 engages. The role 8a is outside the Slot 9a, the gripper drum 10 at the same speed and in the same direction as the conveyor drum 11 driven.
- the driver cam 21 is shown in FIG Position, the gripper drum 10 is constantly with the conveyor drum 11 firmly connected, so that both drums 10 and 11 with turn at the same speed.
- the crank 8 only has here the function of a lock and could for example by a simple bolt can be replaced.
- the roll 8a remains for example, permanently in one of the slots 9a.
- the printed products 3 in in a known manner by known operation of the suction 5, gripper 7 and the retainer 6 are withdrawn and into the collecting duct 4 filed.
- the suction cup 5 and the gripper 7 grip each Handling the gripper drum 10 and a printed product 3 is placed in the collecting channel 4 by the funding F.
- Funded is, for example, with 15,000 cycles / hour.
- the internal Maltese cross gear In this case, K has no gear function.
- the crank 8 could also be replaced by a bolt be, the conveyor drum 11 rotatably with the gripper drum 10 connects. Retrofitting by replacing crank 8 and said bolt would be comparatively simple to do in itself.
- the internal Maltese cross gear works K so that in a first angular range of, for example about 128 ° with the conveyor drum 11 or the conveying means F. the gripper drum 10 or the gripper means G rotate together.
- the suction cups act in this angular range or angular window 5, the gripper 7 and the retainer 6.
- the printed products 3 ' are subtracted as in the circuit according to FIG. 2. After this The gripper drum becomes the first angular range or angular window 10 driven accelerated by the conveyor drum 11.
- the Gripper drum 10 accelerates so that a quarter turn the gripper drum 10 with respect to the rotation of the conveyor drum 11 is caught up and the gripper 7 in time the next printed product 3 'can hold.
- the conveyor drum 11 is included constant speed and isochronous to the collection chain 15 driven. During the transport of the product through the funding F thus becomes the one for the transport of the shorter printed products 3 'the missing quarter turn caught up.
- the transport of the printed products 3 ' is done by this catch-up process the gripper drum 10 does not affect and thus with constant Speed transported.
- the transport speed the printed products 3 ' correspond to the transport speed the collection chain 15 ', the pitch of which is correspondingly 18 ".
- the feeder device A is designed for 24 ", for example is, the speed of the conveyor drum 11 is only three quarters of those using a 24 "chain 15.
- the feeder device A rotates at an 18 "pitch and 18,000 Cycles / hour slower than in the circuit according to FIG. 2, at which worked with a 24 "chain 15 and 15,000 cycles / hour becomes.
- This has the main advantage that the kinetostatic Conditions for all movements of the suction cup 5, the Gripper 7 and the retainer 6 are cheaper.
- Will be a four-jet Internal Maltese cross gear K used, the said The catch-up process should be spread over at least 180 ° so that a smooth transition is guaranteed.
- the device 1 can thus for two different divisions, for example, a 24 "or 18" pitch of a processing line be used. Switching is easy and done quickly by a switching process on the handle 23. A conversion of device 1 is possible but not necessary. If a collection chain 15 or 15 'is used, it must be adjusted the division of the driver 14 at an appropriate distance to be ordered.
- the gripping means G or the gripping drum 10 with each pull-off operation.
- a motor 16 and a stepping mechanism between the conveyor drum 11 and the gripping drum 10 could also two motors, not shown here, are used, whereby one motor the conveyor drum 11 and the other motor the Gripper drum 10 drives.
- By appropriate control of the Motors would be possible to drive the one with a Step switch or a Maltese cross gear corresponds.
