Shortly before the end of the belt, the shaft flap 9.1 with the deflection roller 24 is pivoted into the upper end position while the flap 9.2 is lowered, while the flatness measuring roller 13 is moved into the lowered, protected position.
- Flatness measuring roller 13 and deflection roller 24 are equipped with speed and torque-controlled rotary drives, not shown, so that there are no relative speeds between the belt and the roller surface and no grinding marks or material deposits occur, so that the flatness measurement can be started immediately after the belt contact.
