Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for treating, in particular disinfecting, of Laundry items according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Certain items of laundry for example those commonly referred to as "hospital laundry” must also be disinfected. Usually, the disinfection takes place while washing. If the items of laundry are washed in a continuous washing machine, the disinfection is preferably carried out in the final wash zone.
- the disinfection conditions are prescribed in many states. In particular, the Temperatures of the washing liquid and related disinfection time duration established. These specifications must be adhered to. The Temperature of the washing liquid during disinfection also depends on whether the Washing liquid is added a chemical disinfectant. For example, in Germany prescribed, without chemical disinfectant disinfection Temperatures above 90 ° C. At lower temperatures, however, the 70 ° C not less than, the washing liquid is a certain amount of a corresponding chemical disinfectant added. Throughout Disinfection process, the washing liquid must have the appropriate minimum temperature and optionally contain disinfectant.
- the present invention seeks to provide a method for Treating, in particular disinfecting, of creating laundry items with which the specified disinfection period is reliable without additional safety times can be maintained and thus in terms of cost-effectiveness compared to known Procedure is improved.
- a method for solving the above object has the measures of Claim 1. Due to the fact that the duration of the treatment, in particular disinfection, preferably continuously detected and the detection of this period begins as soon as the Treatment liquid has reached the required (prescribed) temperature, the Treatment time, especially disinfection time, recorded from the earliest possible date become. Accordingly, in the method according to the invention also such periods taken into account, which are disregarded in known methods for the sake of simplicity. It is therefore detected according to the invention, the entire period in which the Prerequisites for disinfection, in particular a sufficient temperature of the Treatment liquid, are given. This provides the inventive method compared to known methods of greater economy.
- a constant comparison of predetermined, required treatment period with the duration of the current Treatment takes into account all the periods in which the laundry is in one Treatment liquid containing the properties required for disinfection, in particular the minimum temperature required for disinfection. It will thus, due to the invention, also considered periods in which, although no Washing process takes place, but a disinfection under the required conditions takes place.
- the treatment in particular disinfection, in a particular treatment zone of a continuous washing machine instead of.
- these are predominantly one over several successive treatment chambers extending final wash zone of the continuous washing machine.
- the final wash zone is preceded by at least one heating chamber in which heating the treatment chamber to the prescribed disinfection temperature carried out with the washing in the subsequent final wash zone and simultaneous Disinfecting the laundry takes place.
- the treatment liquid can for Reducing the temperature required for disinfection corresponding additives, in particular at least one chemical disinfectant.
- the treatment liquid from the last treatment chamber, in particular final wash chamber only then discharged as soon as the prescribed disinfection time (exactly) reached or has expired. It is thus ensured that actually during the disinfecting period a disinfection under the prescribed and prescribed conditions takes place.
- the clear wash time in each clearing chamber during the ongoing disinfection calculated in the first of all the prescribed disinfection period the average times of all Transfer operations, the amount of time that the laundry items in the heating chamber already on the prescribed temperature of heated treatment liquid has been subtracted from. Subsequently, the remaining time remaining of the disinfection period divided by the number of final wash chambers. It results so the Klarwasch- and at the same time disinfection period of the laundry items in the respective final wash chamber. This ensures that all periods in which a proper Disinfection of the laundry takes place, be considered as disinfection time and the disinfection time is strictly adhered to, without exceeding the prescribed Time out a disinfection takes place.
- the continuous washing machine 10 shown serves for washing and possibly also After-treatment of laundry items in commercial laundries.
- Such garments which must be sterile, for example, hospital laundry, can in the continuous washing machine 10 be disinfected simultaneously.
- other items of laundry can only be washed by appropriate program selection and optionally post-treated.
- the continuous washing machine 10 has an elongated drum 12 with a cylindrical drum shell.
- the drum 12 is about a horizontal longitudinal central axis thirteenth rotatable drivable.
- the drum 12 driven back and forth during the treatment of the laundry, and so, that the drum 12 alternately in the direction of rotation ändemde pitch circle movements performs.
- full circle rotations of the drum 12 is a further transport (transfer) of Laundry items in the continuous washing machine 10.
- the invention can also with any other washing machines, in particular continuous washing machines with others Operation as the above exemplified used are used.
- the drum 12 of the continuous washing machine 10 has several in the treatment direction 14th successive chambers 15, 16, 17.
- the continuous washing machine shown here 10 has thirteen consecutive combs 15, 16, 17.
- the number the chambers 15, 16, 17 are arbitrary, is therefore not shown in the figure Embodiment limited.
- the chambers 15, 16, 17 different Have built-ins.
- some chambers 15, 16, 17 of external drums surround.
- the drum 12 is further operationally divided into different zones. Individual zones may be formed by a plurality of successive chambers 15, 17.
- the continuous washing machine 10 shown in the figure points in the treatment direction 14 seen at the beginning of a prewash zone, which formed from the first three chambers 15 is. Behind it is a heating chamber 16.
- the heating chamber 16 is followed by a Clear wash zone, which in the present embodiment of five successive Clear wash chambers 17 is formed.
- the final wash zone is followed in the treatment direction 14 a rinsing zone of four chambers 15.
- the last chamber of the rinsing zone can be used as a retrofit chamber be educated. In this case, at the end of the rinse zone is a finishing zone intended.
- an input hopper 19 In front of an input end 18 (in the figure on the left) of the drum 12 is an input hopper 19 arranged. About this input hopper 19 enter the laundry to be washed in the drum 12 of the continuous washing machine 10, in the direction of treatment 14th first chamber 15 of the prewash zone.
- an output chute 21 is arranged in the illustrated embodiment. Washed laundry items leaving the drum 12 via the dispensing end 20, are transported out of the continuous washing machine 10 via the discharge chute 21, if appropriate to a subsequent, not shown Drainage device, such as a dewatering press.
- the invention relates to the disinfection of laundry items, in particular Hospital laundry.
- This disinfection takes place in the continuous washing machine 10, and although together with the washing of the laundry.
- the disinfection of the laundry items takes place predominantly in the final wash zone, in all chambers of the final wash zone. These are in the illustrated embodiment, the five consecutive wash chambers 17.
- the final wash zone namely in between the pre-wash zone and the Clear wash zone arranged heating chamber 16, there is a heating of the treatment liquid from the lower temperature in the prewashing zone to the higher one Disinfection temperature.
- the heating chamber 16 can be in the heating chamber 16 either the so-called Einbadphal at the end of the clear-wash zone drained treatment liquid at least the disinfection temperature to be heated or it is in the so-called Two-bath process after a bath change colder treatment liquid accordingly heated.
- the treatment liquid is at least partially drained from the final wash chamber 17, wherein in the single bath the drained treatment liquid in the circuit for Heating chamber 16 is transported while in the two-bath process in the last Wash chamber 17 derived treatment liquid is otherwise reused, for example, in the prewashing zone or in a sewer is passed.
- Disinfection is carried out in compliance with legal or regulatory requirements. So is For example, it prescribed (in Germany), the disinfection of garments ten Minutes in a at least one temperature of 90 ° C having treatment liquid when working without disinfectant. Using disinfectants are also disinfected over a period of ten Minutes, but in a treatment liquid that only show at least 70 ° C needs.
- Heating the treatment liquid in the heating chamber 16 to 70 ° C requires an average of forty seconds in the single-bath process.
- the Treatment liquid in the heating chamber 16 on average sixty-five seconds be heated so that it reaches a temperature of 70 ° C.
- the Laundry items in the respective wash chamber 17 a longer time remain so that on End of the clear-wash zone the laundry over the prescribed period of ten Minutes of disinfection with at least 70 ° C warm treatment liquid (at chemothermal disinfection with the addition of a chemical disinfectant) takes place. Because of this, the laundry items are already over a period of time in the heating chamber 16 in heated to 70 ° C treatment liquid disinfected.
- the Determining the disinfection time also takes into account all periods in which a transfer the laundry items, namely each Wäsche Publishedpostens, from the heating chamber 16 to first wash chamber 17 and within the final wash zone to each next Clear wash chamber 17 takes place.
- the final wash of the is interrupted in each Wäschepostens, but there is a disinfection instead, because the Laundry also during the transfer in the at least 70 ° C or 90 ° C warm Treatment liquid are located.
- the required disinfection time of ten minutes in at least 70 ° C and 95 ° C, respectively to achieve a warm treatment liquid.
- the disinfection times in the individual Clear wash chambers 17 may accordingly be correspondingly lower.
- a draining the Treatment liquid (free liquor) takes place, this time (for example, fifteen Seconds), so that the discharge time of the treatment liquid in the last Clear wash chamber 17 was not included in the determination of the disinfection period becomes.
- the disinfecting period of, for example, ten minutes must therefore be reached be at the time of beginning the discharge of the treatment liquid from the last Clear wash chamber 17.
- the control of the continuous washing machine 10 a time recording means, preferably a so-called timer on.
- the timer records the actual disinfection duration of the respective laundry item. If the timer for each batch of laundry has reached a period of time that is prescribed Disinfection period corresponds to the disinfection process by draining the Treatment liquid in the final wash chamber 17 are completed.
- the timer reaches the intended disinfection time when the previously determined cycle time in the Last clear wash chamber 17 until the beginning of the discharge of the treatment liquid (Water) has expired.
- the timer is started by a temperature sensor in the heating chamber 16. Of the Temperature sensor detects the instantaneous temperature of the treatment liquid to be heated. If this has reached the previous temperature of 70 ° C or 90 ° C and in case of the necessary addition of a chemical disinfectant, this has been completely added to the treatment liquid, the timer starts the Disinfection time of the respective laundry cost to count. The timer first determines the Time that the batch of laundry settles in the heating chamber 16 in the presence of the Disinfection conditions, namely temperature and, where appropriate, the presence a chemical disinfectant additive is located.
- the remaining Disinfection time determined and deducted from the average times of all Transfer operations and the time for draining the treatment liquid from the last Wash chamber 17 the same cycle time in the respective wash chamber 17th calculated. In this calculation it is assumed that in each Wash chamber 17 the laundry items of each post washed the same time and be disinfected. Over a corresponding period of time, the laundry items of Now in each of the successive clear wash chambers 17 of the final wash zone washed and disinfected. The timer monitors whether at the end of the clear wash in the Last clear wash chamber 17, the required treatment time has taken place. First if this is the case, the valve for draining the treatment liquid opens from the last clearing chamber 17, whereby the disinfection process is completed.
- the timer controls a follow-up treatment over the remaining time, during which time the clear wash with the disinfection in the final wash chamber 17 "made up". This is ensured that in each case the exactly prescribed disinfection period is complied with.
- the disinfection period can be achieved by the method according to the invention be kept to within a few seconds, making it unnecessary to To be on the safe side, carry out the disinfection for longer than prescribed inventive method for disinfecting the laundry with the greatest possible Economic feasibility is feasible.
