Definitions
- the invention relates to a hair care device, preferably a curling iron, according to the features the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a hair care device as a curling iron is for example from DE-38 43 186 C2 known.
- rod-shaped thermostat designed as a control rod arranged on his one end is mechanically connected to a valve device.
- the control stick controls temperature-dependent the valve device, which in turn then supplies the gas to the heating device regulates. In this way, the temperature of the curling iron or the temperature of the heating element regulated.
- the heating device emits its thermal energy in the form of thermal radiation and free convection both on the tubular heating element and directly the thermostat.
- the influence of the heat of the heater on the expansion of the Control rod is thus significantly greater than the influence of heat from the heating rod flows to the control rod
- the controller receives the largest percentage due to this arrangement its temperature information from the heater, as an open flame or as a catalyst can be executed.
- the one that acts directly on the control rod from the heating device Heat can therefore lead to the control rod being shut down too early, so that the heating element does not warm up quickly enough.
- the curtailment is the Dwell time until the venting device is adjusted, because of the cooling of the control rod and thus opening the valve device takes a certain amount of time takes, in which a rapid heating of the heating element is weakened.
- the temperature of the heating element during operation is not always that is at the optimal temperature for a sufficient formation of curls, i.e. the The temperature of the heating element can be too high or too low because of the system limited when reheating itself and therefore only partially good the temperature of the heating element regulates.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a hair care device, preferably a curling iron, to improve in such a way that the temperature of the heating element is better detected and thus this can be heated up more quickly.
- the heating element should also be essential Maintain more even temperature without causing unwanted temperature peaks both enter upwards as downwards.
- the thermostat therefore largely gets its temperature from the Temperature of the partition and the heating element, i.e. the thermostat now adjusts the invention, the gas flow depending on the temperature of the heating element from or on, and this is preferred if there is a thermal equilibrium between the temperatures of the heating element, the partition and the temperature of the thermostat.
- the system responds faster to changes in temperature Heating element and no longer primarily to changes in the temperature of the heating device.
- the thermostat therefore receives its data rather from the temperature of the heating element and the partition as from the temperature of the heating device. This allows the temperature of the heating element to be regulated more precisely.
- thermostat is cold adjusted after manufacture and assembly of the hair care device approximates the setting of many standard devices or simplified, i.e. practically no cold adjustment is required or it leaves accomplish much faster on the manufactured devices, since the manufacturing and assembly forcibly resulting tolerances as well as the now less Occurring or less high temperature peaks are much lower on the Affect the control behavior of the hair care device.
- the heating device is only when the hair care device is heated then curtailed when the heating element is practically optimal for treating hair Temperature has reached. Even during the operation of the hair care device is very sensitive and quick thanks to the thermostat that serves to control the heating device Valve device up or down, so that the temperature of the heating element only very is exposed to slight temperature fluctuations. The result is that hair on the one hand cannot be overstressed by missing temperature peaks, but on the other hand Always keep the optimal temperature for the quick shaping of the hair as far as possible becomes.
- the features of claim 2 act in addition to heat radiation and free Convection also involves heat conduction on the partition to control the temperature of the Divide the partition as far as possible to the temperature of the heating element and this too taking into account that the wall of the heater is closer to the partition is than the entire inner surface of the heating element.
- the partition and the thermostat essentially parallel to the tubular heating element, so that the entire length of the heating element temperature monitored and temperature controlled. This gives you one more uniform temperature over the entire length of the heating element.
- Thermostat preferably from a round control rod in cross section, which is spaced in the runs essentially parallel and approximately the same length to the heating device.
- Control rods are used in the wireless Lokken rod, which the applicant has been selling for a long time type GCC 50 (see Braun program overview "Quality in good shape", edition 1999/2000, page 9) is used, so that it is not dealt with at this point must become.
- This also applies to the entire structure of the curling iron, such as the valve device, the catalyst, the heating element, etc., so that to explain what is claimed here Curling iron referred to this device or content of this application can be.
- the features of claim 4 allow easy manufacture and connection the partition to the heating element.
- the web can be attached to the inner wall of the heating element advantageously welded or connected in one piece with this.
- the metallic connection of the web with the heating element provides a good heat connection to the partition Heater rod, so that the partition has almost the same temperature as the Heating element itself.
- the control behavior of the thermostat can therefore by Number or width of the or openings, by the wall thickness of the partition, by the arrangement of the control rod in the heating pipe opposite the heating device, through the training of the heating element itself and by the heating power of the heating device per unit of time be significantly affected.
- Control behavior can always be determined on the outer surface of the heating element maintain an optimal temperature that is neither too high nor too low.
- the breakthrough of only one longitudinal slot formed, which is dimensioned so wide that the control rod is again at least partially Has visual contact with the control rod and so through the heat radiation acting on it react faster to temperature peaks both upwards and downwards of the heating device can. Due to the longitudinal slot formed on the partition can also due to Heat radiation Heat relatively quickly in those surrounded by the partition Allow room to flow in, particularly when heating up the partition wall and thus to enable more precise regulation of the thermostat.
- the thermal connection of the partition to the heating rod is reduced while the thermal influence of the heating device is increased. This improves the control behavior of the thermostat.
- the chamber that seals off the partition, in which the control rod runs, has the Chamber surrounding the catalyst a direct connection, which is then particularly good establishes thermal connection when according to the features of claim 8 Longitudinal slot runs the entire length of the thermostat.
- the features of claim 9 result in a tubular heating element, which as a molded part is particularly easy to manufacture because it cannot be assembled from several parts got to. It is particularly advantageous if, according to the features of the patent claim 10 the molded part is an extruded part, which is made by the meter in an extrusion process preferably aluminum or an otherwise good heat conductive and extrudable Material is made.
- the curling iron 1 consists of an essentially cup-shaped Recording 4, in the hole shown in FIG. 1 accessible from the right side 2, an essentially annular housing 3 is inserted and centered, which is for receiving of a valve device 5 fastened in the housing 3 and one designed as a control rod Thermostats 6 is used.
- the receptacle 4 is open from the left side according to FIG. 1 and is formed by a blind hole 7, in the one not shown in the drawing Gas cartridge can be used.
- the floor protrudes into space 8 of blind hole 7 9 penetrating gas tube 10 through that when inserting a gas cartridge the valve arrangement (not shown) formed in the gas cartridge is actuated and thereby a gas connection from the gas cartridge to the valve device 5 of the curling iron 1 manufactures.
- the valve device 5 consists of a bottom mounting plate 11, the screwed from the right-hand side to a regulator holder 12 or fastened in some other way is. Between the two parts 11, 12, a seal 13 is clamped to the from the mounting plate 11 and the regulator receptacle 12 to seal the valve chamber 13 formed towards the outside.
- the valve device 5 is in a receiving bore formed in the receptacle 4 14 centered.
- a valve piston 15 which acts against the Force of a compression spring 16 is displaceable to the left and in this way the valve device 5 opens so that gas passes through catalytic converter 17 through channels not shown in the drawing can be supplied for combustion.
- a threaded bore 18 is formed in the regulator receptacle 12, in which a a Vacodilstab 19 surrounding tube 20 is screwed tightly by means of a thread 21.
- the Vacodil rod 19 is preferably made of an iron-nickel alloy and has one low and constant deformation when the temperature rises.
- the pipe 20 made of a metal that undergoes a large deformation when exposed to temperature.
- valve piston 15 migrates 23 of the Vacodil rod 19 according to FIG. 1 to the right.
- the compression spring 16 Valve piston 15 in the drawing is always in contact with the free end 23 of the vacuum rod 19 stops, the valve piston 15 also moves to the right in accordance with FIG. 1 and closes the gas line (not shown) towards the catalyst 17 so that it emits less heat.
- the heating rod 25 is produced and extruded as an extrusion in an extruder therefore in cross section a cross-sectional shape adapted to the conditions of the curling iron 1 different wall thicknesses, as shown in Figures 2 and 3. How continue can be seen from Figures 2 and 3, the control rod 6 is to the left of one as a catalyst trained heater 17 is arranged and extends substantially parallel to Longitudinal axis 26 of the heating element 25.
- the cross-sectional profile of the heating element 25 runs symmetrically to the longitudinal axis 26.
- the center point 27 (FIG.
- a button 33 is rotatably attached to the housing 3, which engages via its extension 34 in a double-walled bracket 35 and this firmly connects with the key 33.
- the inner surface 36 of the bracket 35 lies on the Top of the outer surface 37 of the heating element 25 when the button 33 is not pressed. This is achieved by a spring 38 acting on the key 33 (FIG. 1), which is located on the Support 4 supports.
- a spring 38 acting on the key 33 (FIG. 1), which is located on the Support 4 supports.
- an end cap 42 At the free end of the bracket 35 engages in that of the two Walls 39, 40 formed gap 41 an end cap 42, which acts as a handle for the Lokken rod 1 and serves as protection against burns for an operator.
- the end cap 42 is for example by crimping, gluing, screwing or any other type of attachment firmly connected to the bracket 35.
- the handle 61 of the curling iron 1 forms the outer surface of the receptacle 4.
- the heating rod 25 has passages 44 through which the catalyst passes 17 heat released during operation can escape.
- FIG. 2 and 3 extends from the inner wall 46 of the heating element 25 in the Interior 45 a partition 49, which only partially encloses the control rod 6 and on runs an arc of a circle that corresponds approximately to the length of a quarter circle. To this Only about half the surface of the control rod 6 becomes the direct heat radiation of the catalyst 17 exposed while the other half covered by the partition 49 is.
- the wall surface 50 facing the control rod 6 runs in a predetermined manner Distance concentric to control rod 6, so that a ring segment-shaped between the two parts Intermediate gap 51 is formed, but which also take a different shape can.
- the line 52 which runs concentrically to the control rod 6, represents a bore in FIG. 2 the housing 3 through which the control rod 6 penetrates a sleeve 62 and to the valve device 5 arrives.
- the partition 49 is integrally connected to the heating element 25.
- Corresponding profiles 53 are also formed on the inner wall 48, which are used for centering, receiving and adaptation of the components formed in the interior 45 of the heating element 25, such as already mentioned above, serve.
- the housing 3 has diametrically opposite incisions 54, 55, wherein the key 33 is embedded in the notch 54 and an ignition slide 56 is embedded in the notch 55, the lever mechanisms not shown in the drawing with a also in the Drawing, not shown, is connected to the ignition device.
- the partition 49 is connected to the inner wall 46 via a web 58 of the heating rod 25 connected so that the heat (heat conduction) from the heating rod is initiated.
- the free end 60 of the partition 49 ends at a distance in front of the opposite one Inner wall 46 of the heating element 25 and thereby forms a longitudinal slot 59.
- the mode of operation of the curling iron 1 according to the invention is as follows:
- valve device via a valve slide, not shown in the drawing 5 operated so that gas through the gas cartridge, the gas tube 10 and Valve device 5 flows into the catalyst 17.
- the valve piston 15 in its open position that however, this position always from a main slide (not shown) to the closed position can be brought when the device is no longer to be used.
- the Ignition slide actuated and via an ignition mechanism, not shown in the drawing
- One or more sparks are generated in the catalytic converter 17, which in the interior 57 of the catalytic converter 17 Explosion of air / gas mixture. After the explosion continues the catalytic combustion on the catalyst 17.
- the catalyst 17 and heats up the heat emitted by it radiates into the interior 45 of the heating element 25.
- the heating rod 25, the partition 49 and heat radiation and convection from the catalytic converter 17 heats the control rod 6 until it reaches the valve device shortly before the target temperature of the heating element is reached 5 actuated slowly, thereby throttling the gas supply to the catalyst 17.
- the tube 20 becomes essential expands more than the Vacodil rod 19, i.e. the free end 23 of the Vacodil rod 19 becomes 1 moved to the right.
- the valve piston follows due to the force of the compression spring 16 15 of this movement, since it is always kept in contact with the Vacodil rod 19. The result is regulating the gas supply to the catalyst 17.
- the catalyst 17 cools down and less heat is introduced into the heating element 25.
- the heat emitted by the heating element 25 and by the partition 49 acts was introduced due to heat radiation and heat conduction via the catalyst 17, less cooling on the control rod 6, so that as a result only a small amount Throttling the gas supply is initiated.
- the control rod 6 becomes considerably more of the temperature of the heating rod 25 as influenced by the temperature of the catalyst 17, with the result that temperature peaks can be avoided and thus the temperature behavior of the Lokken rod 1 is improved overall.
- the dimensions of the partition 49 can be accordingly the dimensions of the control rod 6, the heating rod 25, the catalyst 17th and the components to be heated, which are otherwise to be heated in the curling iron 1, so that at one nevertheless rapid heating when the target temperature of the heating element 25 is reached, the control element 6 reacts so quickly to the temperature that the target temperature of the heating element largely preserved.
- the partition 49 can more or less over a larger or smaller area connected to the inner wall 48 of the heating element 25 be to introduce more or less heat into the partition 49 so that this more or can give less heat to the control rod 6 and thus the target temperature of the heating rod remains largely constant.
- the distances between the control rods are also a matter of course 6 from the inner wall 48 of the heating element 25, from the inner wall 50 of the partition 49 and from the outer wall of the catalytic converter 17 crucial to a to achieve optimal control behavior of the curling iron 1.
