Definitions
- the invention relates to electrostatic microphones with a capsule housing, in which a Membrane and a rigid electrode and optionally a friction pill and a electrical circuit are arranged on a component board.
- the invention thus relates to electroacoustic transducers that operate as sound pickups Find application as a microphone capsule and work on an electrostatic basis. Such Regardless of their physical mode of operation, transducers have a membrane, which is exposed to the sound field and directly excited to vibrate by it becomes.
- the electrodes of the electrostatic converter are elastic, kept under tension Membrane and a rigid electrode, which is usually only called an electrode. Make both a capacitor, the electrical capacity of which fluctuates due to pressure fluctuations Sound field changed. Because between the electrodes of the electrostatic converter electrical field is built, it is possible to accommodate the changes in capacitance of the converter Convert into electrical voltage changes with the help of a downstream amplifier.
- Such capsules are now becoming increasingly popular in a wide range of applications miniaturized form used, be it only on mobile phones or hands-free devices in motor vehicles and the like more referenced and it requires increasing Miniaturization, especially in connection with the large numbers in which such Capsules are made that are both assembly and principal Construction as economical as possible.
- both capsule variants are of the type shown in FIG Construction together.
- a capsule housing 1 is a membrane ring 2, on which a membrane 3 preloaded and fastened, inserted.
- the membrane ring 2 must have a certain Thickness because its job consists of the membrane 3 in prestressed Keep condition. This is only possible with a thickness of the membrane ring from about 0.7 to 2 mm create.
- the membrane should form a unit with the membrane ring is sufficiently robust to process them automatically or manually.
- a spacer ring made of a well insulating material 4.
- the electrode 5 which after the spacer ring 4 in the capsule housing is inserted, forms the second electrode of the capacitor.
- she is made of an electrically conductive material and has a perforation.
- An acoustic friction 6 is located after the electrode 5. It is usually switched off Plastic manufactured in an injection molding process and has one with porous material covered or closed hole. The acoustic friction 6 is used for acoustic Tuning the microphone capsule in relation to the frequency response of the sensitivity and on the directional characteristics of the capsule.
- the microphone capsule is from behind with a electronic print 7, on which the electronic, essential for the function of the capsule Components are attached, completed.
- the invention has set itself the task of the number of components of such Reduce microphone capsule and simplify the construction of the capsule without doing so Losing capsule quality.
- this goal is achieved in that the membrane with the front of the capsule housing is connected.
- the capsule housing has in the area of its front side a ring-shaped inner shoulder on which the membrane is tensioned assembled, preferably glued. This is done, for example, with a first stamp Glue applied to the shoulder and with a second stamp the one on the stamp tensioned membrane pressed onto the shoulder and glued. Subsequently the spacer ring, the electrode, the friction pill and the print are inserted and assembled, According to the invention, the membrane ring previously required can thus be dispensed with.
- FIG. 2 shows a solution according to the invention.
- the microphone capsule housing 11 is provided with a step or inner shoulder 12, which makes it possible to the membrane ring to renounce. All other components of the microphone capsule according to the invention accordingly 2 are the same as the capsule according to the prior art in FIG. 1 remained.
- the capsule housing is usually made from an aluminum sheet using the deep-drawing process it is no problem to form the shoulder 12 and thus into the capsule housing to produce integrated "membrane ring" in one operation. Because the total height the resulting microphone capsule is even smaller than in the prior art has become possible, such a capsule is space-saving and cheaper than the previous ones Capsules. Since the height (axial extension) of the microphone capsule according to FIG. 2 only is a few millimeters, the membrane is placed on the shoulder 12 inside the capsule no problem for the expert. For this purpose, a Device inserted the membrane in the pre-tensioned state in the microphone housing and glued to it in a known way.
- FIG. 3 Another embodiment of the invention is shown in FIG. 3. It's about a Capsule housing, which differs from that of FIG. 2 in that the capsule housing is divided into two and consists of a lower housing part 21 and a capsule cover 28 consists.
- the division of the capsule housing into two is for reasons of acoustic coordination Often found, the reason for this is:
- the frequency response of a microphone capsule is dependent on the number and area of the sound openings 29 of the cover. Therefore the capsule housing is often divided in such a way that an attachment of different capsule lids 28 is possible. With a simple cover exchange, different ones are possible acoustic tuning of a capsule can be easily achieved.
- the invention in turn, enables the capsule cover to be designed as shown with a shoulder 22, the entire microphone capsule becomes cheaper.
- the microphone cover 22 can, but does not have to be made of the same material as the lower housing part 21. It is possible, for example, the lower part of the capsule housing made of aluminum and the capsule cover made of plastic. It can also be the division of the housing on another Place.
- the invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiments shown and described, but can be modified in various ways. So the opportunity the acoustic coordination through the interaction of parts of the device into which the Capsule is used to reach with parts of the capsule and so on the friction pill not being able to do without.
- the formation of the shoulder can vary depending on the type of manufacture and the material of the capsule or the capsule part that carries the shoulder. In the drawing is for reasons no clarity given the clarity, it was on the usual dimensions miniaturized capsules, for example the total height and outer diameter of just a few millimeters each.
- connection between the two parts is open Many types are possible: from friction locking to screwing to gluing all connections that are stable enough are conceivable.
