Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pedal machine for percussion instruments with a bearing pedestal with upwardly extending columns with bearings in which at least one flail is pivotally held by at least one shaft and against a restoring force by means of a pedal operable actuating mechanism is movable, wherein the bearing base is formed in several parts with detachable, each independently mounted columns and comprises a bottom plate on which the columns are detachably mounted.
  • Such a foot machine which serves to transfer the drummer's footstep quickly and precisely to the percussion instrument, in particular a bass drum, has become known from US-A-1804128.
  • An example from DE 33 27 687 C2 known foot machine has a foot with thereof towering uprights, which hold in their upper ends, for example via rolling bearings, a horizontal shaft. On this shaft non-rotatably seated a sprocket and a clamping head, in which the mallet is held over the lower end of a shaft, wherein at the upper end of the shaft, the shock pad is attached.
  • the front end of a pedal engages via a bearing pin at one end of a link chain, which is partially wrapped around the sprocket, and thus actuates the wave and thus the Schlegelterrorism.
  • a double-foot machine for a bass drum which comprises a one-piece bearing base or a yoke with two bearing columns, each receiving a bearing.
  • Attached to a pillar is an arm which extends laterally from and then upwardly of this pillar and comprises a housing member having a third bearing consisting of two bearing members.
  • the bearing base of the known from US 5,421,235 busymaschine is integrally formed with two bearing columns. Such a bearing base is usually made by casting in one piece. Different types of foot machines require different bearing base and thus each different casting tools.
  • the invention has the object of developing a pedestrian to the effect that their production is simplified.
  • This object is achieved in that the bearing base by selecting the type and number of base plates and by selecting the type, the number and the arrangement of the columns is individually assembled, which allows all variants for both the manufacturer and for the drummer.
  • a base plate is for example a plate in question, which also takes the pedal with, or just a short bearing base foot.
  • a cross member spaced apart from the longitudinal axis on two columns a cross member is arranged, which extends between the columns and is arranged on the at least one additional bearing element with at least one additional bearing along the shaft longitudinal axis for supporting a shaft or a plurality of waves.
  • the cross member serves as a mounting rod for the respective bearing elements.
  • the respective bearing element is locked on the one hand to the cross member and on the other hand with a bearing, preferably a roller bearing and here preferably a ball bearing, provided.
  • the invention provides the ability to vary by selecting the type and number of bearing elements, the number of waves and thus the number of flails.
  • the cross member and the bearing elements in addition to the bottom plate and the pillars more basic components.
  • the split-wave solution provides the advantage, in particular in a double-foot machine or double-action mechanism, that it is possible to divert both the left and the right side independently of one another, which makes the foot machine independent of the preferred play side of the drummer.
  • a cross member with a polygonal cross-section, preferably a polygonal rod.
  • a hexagonal rod is to be used. This angular geometry makes it possible that the bearing element is secured with a recess corresponding to the geometry positionally secure to the cross member.
  • one of the desired number of bearing elements suitably prepared polygonal bar between the upwardly extending columns is arranged.
  • the invention allows the arrangement of any number of bearing elements and thus of shafts, which can be operated in each case via the same or different type of Betuschistsmechanismusses and thus can pivot any number of flails.
  • the invention is not limited to the arrangement of two shafts.
  • the number of waves is adjusted according to the number of desired flails and the pedals for their operation. Of course it is also possible to connect more than one mallet with a wave.
  • each shaft is mounted at least in one of the additional bearing elements.
  • the additional bearing element is formed as a double bearing to receive the two ends of adjacent waves.
  • Each shaft is movable by means of a separate actuating mechanism.
  • actuating mechanisms all known types come into question. It is particularly recommended a belt drive, which also includes a cooperating means of a traction rod connecting rod, a chain drive or a rod drive.
  • a reinforced plastic band is preferably used as a traction device; this reinforcement is achieved, for example, by means of an integrated steel wire mesh or by means of an integrated second plastic, such as nylon.
  • a chain drive in particular, the use of a toothed roller chain, which runs over a sprocket is recommended. To prevent a disturbing noise when running from metal to metal, the sprocket is preferably padded.
  • the actuating mechanisms are operated by means of a separate pedal or by means of a two-part pedal. So for example, a multiple-foot machine with two or possibly more flails, which are operated by two or possibly more separate pedals, be made available or a pedal with two mallets, which is operated by a two-part pedal.
  • a pedal machine for percussion musical instruments shown in Fig. 1 is a pedestrian 1 with two mallets 2, 3, which are operated via a two-part pedal 4 with two different actuating mechanisms 5, 6.
  • the bearing pedestal 7 of the pedal machine 1 comprises a bottom plate 8, to which at its pointing to the bass drum D end 8a two upwards, from the bottom plate 8 at right angles extending columns 9, 10 are detachably mounted.
  • Connecting rod 12 which is arranged on a first shaft 13 via a bushing 65 (see Fig. 2) is operated, the flail 3 via the rear pedal part 4 b by means of a rod drive 14 which sets a second shaft 15 in a rotational movement, served.
  • Clamping heads 16, 17, in which the flails 2, 3 are held over the lower end of a shank 18, 19, are arranged on both independently operating shafts 13, 15 via jacks 67 and 66 (see FIG is, wherein at the upper end of the shock pad 20, 21 is arranged.
  • two bearing elements 22, 23 or support blocks are provided for storage of not held by the two columns 9 and 10 ends of the two shafts 13, 15. These are connected via a corresponding recess 24 (see Fig. 3) at its one end 22a, 23a with a cross member 25 and with a crossbar, here in the form of a hexagonal bar connected to the parallel and vertically spaced below the shaft longitudinal axis the columns 9, 10 is mounted by means of screw 40, 39 and extends between them.
  • the two bearing elements 22, 23 take at its other end 26 b, 26 a roller bearing 28, 27 for the shafts 13 and 15.
  • the outer ends 29, 30 of both shafts are rotatably connected to a connecting rod 31, 32, respectively, which is in operative connection with a return spring 33, 34, which is pivotally attached to the lower end of a column 10, 9.
  • the basic elements base plate 8 and columns 9, 10 form the bearing base 7.
  • These columns 9, 10 consist essentially of a respective strut 9a, 10a and a receiving element 9b, 10b for a rolling bearing 36, 35, here ball bearings together to the outer Shaft ends 30, 29 to hold.
  • the two additional rolling bearings 27, 28 are provided. These are part of the two bearing elements 23, 22 which are secured to the cross member 25 and the hexagonal rod.
  • a push rod 41b is actuated, in turn, with a on the Shaft 15 arranged sleeve or sleeve 66 cooperates.
  • the sleeve 66 is rotatably connected via grub screws 43, 44 with the shaft 15.
