Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pedal machine for percussion instruments with a bearing base with upwardly extending columns with bearings, in which at least one flail is held pivotably by means of at least one shaft and is movable against the force of at least one return spring by means of an actuatable by a pedal actuating mechanism, each having a shaft operatively connected to a transmission element which is connected to the return spring, wherein the return spring by means of a pivotable lower spring support element which comprises an adjustment member for adjusting the return spring tension with a receiving part for a connected to the return spring threaded pin on a lower column part is attached.
  • Such a foot machine which serves to transfer the foot play of a drummer quickly and precisely to the percussion instrument, in particular a bass drum, has become known from DE-C-352 883.
  • An example of DE 33 27 687 C2 known foot machine has a foot with thereof towering uprights, in their upper ends, for example via rolling bearings; to hold a horizontal wave.
  • On this shaft non-rotatably seated a sprocket and a clamping head in which the mallet is held over the lower end of a shaft, wherein at the upper end of the shaft, the shock pad is attached.
  • the front end of a pedal engages via a bearing pin at one end of a link chain, which is partially wrapped around the sprocket, and thus actuates the wave and thus the Schlegelterrorism.
  • Such a return spring design of a percussion pedal machine is also known from US 3,988,957.
  • the lower part of the return spring is connected to an adjusting screw which penetrates a fastening element, which is fixedly arranged in each case at the foot of two upwardly extending frame parts.
  • the US 5,567,899 describes a double-foot machine with two shafts, which are each in operative connection with a return spring.
  • a cam connected to the shaft via a bush is provided with an opening in which a roller is pivotally mounted.
  • the roller is extended with a suspension part to which the upper end of the spring is fixedly mounted.
  • the lower end of the spring is connected to a bracket on the column foot via an adjusting element for setting the desired tension of the return spring.
  • This adjusting element comprises a threaded pin and a component for preventing rotation of the threaded pin.
  • the lower end of the spring is swinging suspended in a transverse bore of the threaded pin head, while the threaded pin is mounted without rotation on the bracket.
  • the tension of the return spring determines the pressure that the drummer must overcome with his foot to pivot the handle and the speed at which the pedal recoils.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a pedals, which allows for the drummer easier game.
  • the receiving part has a tab which by means of a bearing about a horizontal axis of rotation providing cylindrical projection, for example a bolt, is pivotally mounted on the lower column part.
  • the return spring is mounted at its end facing the shaft by means of an upper spring-bearing element releasably mounted on the transmission element.
  • the upper spring bearing element comprises a suspension element in which the spring engages swinging.
  • the suspension element comprises a connecting disc with an upper and lower part, wherein in the lower part of the connecting disc, a first transverse bore is introduced, in which engages the upper end of the return spring swinging.
  • a second transverse bore with a bearing is introduced, in which a bolt whose axis is parallel to the shaft axis, is arranged.
  • the transmission element comprises a connecting rod connected to a shaft end with downwardly extending hooks with which the bolt of the suspension element engages.
  • the return spring always remains arranged despite a different position of the pivoted connecting rod due to foot operation and pivoting of the shaft in a substantially vertical orientation and thus the spring forces can be better utilized.
  • the proposed pivotal mounting of the return spring can be used in all types of pedals.
  • a pedal machine for percussion musical instruments shown in Fig. 1 is a foot machine 1 with two mallets 2, 3, which are operated via a two-part pedal 4 with two different actuating mechanisms 5, 6.
  • the bearing pedestal 7 of the pedal machine 1 comprises a bottom plate 8, to which at its pointing to the bass drum D end 8a two upwards, from the bottom plate 8 at right angles extending columns 9, 10 are detachably mounted by means of a screw-type connector 68.
  • the flail 2 is operated via the front pedal part 4a and via this with a connecting rod 12 which cooperates with a plastic band 11 and which is arranged on a first shaft 13 via a bushing 65 (see Fig. 2)
  • the flail 3 is transferred over the rear pedal part 4b by means of a rod drive 14, which sets a second shaft 15 in a rotational movement operated.
  • actuating mechanisms for the wave and thus the Schlegeliolo all other types also in question such as a chain drive.
  • the belt drive is preferably used as a traction means a reinforced plastic band used; this reinforcement is achieved, for example, by means of an integrated steel wire mesh or by means of an integrated second plastic, such as nylon.
  • a chain drive in particular, the use of a toothed roller chain, which runs over a sprocket is recommended. To prevent a disturbing noise when running from metal to metal, the sprocket is preferably padded.
  • the actuating mechanisms are operated by means of a separate pedal or by means of a two-part pedal, as shown here.
  • clamping heads 16, 17 are arranged via bushings 67 and 66 (see Fig. 2) connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the shafts, in each of which the flails 2, 3 via the lower end of a Shaft 18, 19 is held, wherein at the upper end of the shock pad 20, 21 is arranged.
  • two bearing elements 22, 23 or support blocks are provided for storage of not held by the two columns 9 and 10 ends of the two shafts 13, 15. These are connected via a corresponding recess 24 (see Fig. 3) at its one end 22a, 23a with a cross member 25 and with a crossbar, here in the form of a hexagonal bar connected to the parallel and vertically spaced below the shaft longitudinal axis the columns 9, 10 is mounted by means of screw 40, 39 and extends between them.
  • the two bearing elements 22, 23 take at their respective other end 26 b, 26 a roller bearing 28, 27 for the shafts 13 and 15.
  • the outer ends 29, 30 of both shafts are rotatably connected to a connecting rod 31, 32, which is in each case in operative connection with a return spring 33, 34 which is pivotally attached to the lower end of a column 10, 9.
  • the basic elements base plate 8 and columns 9, 10 form the bearing base 7.
  • These columns 9, 10 consist essentially of a respective strut 9a, 10a and a receiving element 9b, 10b for a rolling bearing 36, 35, here ball bearings together to the outer Shaft ends 30, 29 to hold.
  • the two additional rolling bearings 27, 28 are provided. These are part of the two bearing elements 23, 22 which are secured to the cross member 25 and the hexagonal rod.
  • a push rod 41 b is actuated, which in turn with a on the shaft 15 arranged sleeve or sleeve 66 cooperates.
  • the sleeve 66 is rotatably connected via grub screws 43, 44 with the shaft 15.
  • the inner end 38 of this rotated by the rod drive Shaft 15 is secured with a lock washer 45 in a groove against axial displacement.
