Definitions
- the invention relates to a handgun according to the Preamble of Claim 1.
- a handgun is through US-A-6 125 568, which in particular is a handgun with a housing describes - indicated in this publication as "handle", So handle (the terms housing and handle are used in Handguns often work equally for the same component used).
- this known handgun is a Combination lock before the trigger on the housing or handle arranged.
- All location names used in this text refer to a weapon in normal use, with a horizontal barrel, and are from the shooter seen from. If a shooter, for example, a self-loading pistol holds with his right hand, then his index finger lies right, his thumb is on the left. The weapon points then "forward".
- a handgun of the type mentioned above is out of US 3,735,519.
- This publication shows one conventional submachine gun, with the trigger above and in front of it, just behind the magazine shaft Combination lock with a vertical axis is arranged.
- This Combination lock has three coaxial, superimposed, rotating number disks, like it is from a simple one Combination lock for briefcases is known ago. In the there is a recess on the left side of the weapon housing, at the bottom, sections of the three number disks are visible and can be turned with your finger. In a certain, unchangeable relative position The three (number-bearing) number disks become a lever movable backwards in any other position of the castle remains fixed. This lever is with the Rod (sear) connected, which moves when the lever is released is, but not with a fixed lever.
- the lever and thus the rod and the trigger are only movable if a certain identification number (PIN) is set using the number disks. So it can only in this position of the number disks with the weapon be shot.
- PIN identification number
- the shooter can very easily check whether the combination lock is locked or open, by pulling the trigger. If the deduction on the train moved noticeably backwards with your finger, then is the combination lock is open and the weapon can be used. The combination lock can also be used when the weapon is cocked (the Closure is in the back). If the shooter now wants to make sure that the loaded one Weapon is ready to fire or not, he must set the number check. Would he pull the trigger? and the lock would be open, then there would be a burst of fire to solve. In the dark or lack of time, this check is however not possible.
- An older submachine gun of the type shown is proportionate plenty of free space in the housing. This is no longer the case with modern weapons. Especially in a modern self-loading pistol is a combination lock of the type shown cannot be accommodated without the handle of this weapon is very essential and in would have to change most ugly.
- the well-known security lock with rotatable Number discs have a whole range of advantages, compared with all electronic fuses. For it does not need a battery and is even after decades Still fully operational without any maintenance.
- Hand guns have also been suggested to be equipped with rotatable number disks.
- the latter are but either arranged in areas where they match the Gun-grabbing hand when shooting directly in contact come (US 5 743 039) and so unintentionally adjusted could be, or require substantial broadening the handle of the weapon (can be removed from US 5 930 930).
- the invention aims at the above known weapons improve.
- the invention lies in based primarily on the task of a handgun of the type mentioned at the outset, that her combination lock, that of coaxial, rotating number disks there is safe handling of the handgun enabled and inconspicuous and the weapon as a whole is not disfigured.
- the invention particularly strives for a self-loading pistol, in which a combination lock of the type mentioned easily accessible, but discreet and without adulteration is arranged.
- An economical production is to be aimed for.
- “combination lock” is a device with at least understood a rotatable number disc, the one Number of characters distributed over the circumference, which for the sake of simplicity are called “digits" are, but can also be logos or the like.
- the or everyone Number disc is released with the finger or a handle (e.g. a ballpoint pen) twisted so far, until the number corresponding to the coding or number group is located at a specific point and is preferably visible through a window. Notches facilitate the correct setting of the number disc (s).
- the above object is achieved in that the axis of the number disks horizontally and across Longitudinal axis of the weapon runs (Claim 1).
- a pressure fuse is attached, i.e. a safety bolt, which the transition between trigger guard and housing in Crossed horizontally and on the right or left side of the transition, depending on whether it is secured or not.
- This transition must be for the Invention can only be slightly broadened to - instead a well-known security bolt - the combination lock record the diameter of that of the safety bolt however exceeds.
- a self-loading pistol can be arranged in a lower position the lower edge of the front part of the Compared to a conventional self-loading pistol, the impression of a chunky transition be further reduced so that the viewer does not see that Has the feeling that there is something voluminous in this part of the weapon hidden like a combination lock.
- the combination lock can be any number of number disks and each number disc can have limits carry any number of digits. The more However, if there are digits, the larger the diameter the combination lock, and the more number discs there are, the longer the combination lock. To the crowd possible combinations of settings are not too small are preferred, but are preferred at least to provide three number disks. According to the invention Compromise chosen, consisting of three number disks (claim 2) with 10 digits each (claim 3). The hereby emerging number of combinations is large enough to the possibility of finding the combination by playing around to keep low. Can be within 000 and 999 any number can be chosen as a combination. If the combination lock is adjustable by the user, he can set it to the number between 000 and 999, which is then easily reproducible for him, if he ever forgot them, like the last three Digits of his ID card number.
- a Marking then denotes the point at which the combination is to be set. However, only one is preferred small window provided, through which the combination is recognizable and can be adjusted, for example using a fingernail or a pointed object.
- the combination to be set could be in one forward pointing window of the transition be visible what the The advantage of easy recognition and adjustability would have. According to the invention, however, it is particularly advantageous arrange the window inside the trigger guard so that it faces backwards and faces the trigger (Claim 4).
- Preferred (claim 6) is a fuse (an operating lever, Actuating button or the like) provided, the Position (safe or fire) felt by the operator can be, as usual.
- the combination lock now gives not the trigger rod or an intermediate piece free, but the fuse that can only be unlocked is when the combination lock is open. The fuse in turn now releases the operation of the weapon. If the fuse is now on "fire”, then it is imperative the combination lock must be open. When the fuse is on "Safe” stands and do not move into the "fire” position leaves, then the combination lock locks. If the Check the contactor of the state of the combination lock he only needs to operate the backup, what he can perform in a safe manner.
- the fuse is preferably designed as a pressure fuse, which in turn is formed by the axis of the combination lock will (claim 7).
- a pressure fuse on the The place of the transition is already known per se.
- the secured Pressure protection can only be pressed in, if the combination of the combination lock is set is.
- the pressure fuse When the pressure fuse is pushed in and therefore unlocked , it blocks the combination lock so that it can't pretend. Even if on the number disks, e.g. by the trigger finger of the user should not be able to pretend so that the weapon remains reliably ready to fire.
- the combination lock of the well-known submachine gun mentioned at the beginning has a fixed coding. Will the However, temporarily weapon another person released for use, or resold as a used weapon, then there is a risk that too many people know the combination of numbers. There is also one difficult to memorize and not in case of forgetting reproducible number combination.
- a combination lock the coding of which is adjustable.
- Such combination locks are known (for example in briefcases) and can e.g. after opening by pressing the axis to any new number combination can be set. The axis returns to its operating position brought back, then the combination lock remains set to the new number combination. This can can only be changed by pressing the axis again.
- This setting option is also preferred in the invention (Claim 9), especially since the axis of the number connection is designed as a pressure safety device.
- This axis closes in each of its end positions approximately flush with the outer surface of the barrel or grip of the weapon, like that is common with a pressure safety device.
- the axis can be over the one end position in open combination lock in the housing or handle up to an adjustment position press in and the setting can be turned of the number disks.
- the combination lock of the weapon can therefore be customized for everyone User can be set, which is then a combination of digits can choose which is known to him and which over Not forgotten for years. Because it is essential that the number combination is not on one Note that is kept with the weapon becomes. Because this is how an unauthorized person could steal the weapon also receives the number combination.
- the combination lock according to the invention preferably has one Expansion protection, which at least the undamaged Expansion of the combination lock makes it impossible (claim 10).
- the housing is damaged or handle, if you try to count should knock out the combination lock.
- the combination lock is thus secured against removal.
- the expansion protection works with a Reinforcement made of metal, preferably steel or hard metal, together, which is embedded in the plastic. So be Surface pressures that when violently knocked out of the combination lock occur on a large area transferred, so that the plastic these loads can withstand (claim 11).
- the weapon can be opened Combination lock neither disassembled nor opened or be loaded (claim 12).
- Combination lock neither disassembled nor opened or be loaded (claim 12).
- the Push the rod or its extension through the cross bolt that of Colt Browning constructions before disassembly the weapon must be pulled out, so that this Cross bolt can only be pulled out when the trigger is pulled becomes.
- This in turn is only possible if the combination lock is open. This prevents that an unauthorized person has essential parts (barrel, lock) can be removed even when the combination lock is secured.
- the handgun according to the invention can for example be a self-loading pistol, such as one with a plastic handle, and / or one with a tap lock with double movement (double-action tap lock).
- the trigger With such a weapon, the trigger is relaxed Gun firmly coupled to the tap, i.e. when withdrawing the trigger of the tap must also move backwards. If he is prevented from doing so by the combination lock, then he can the tap also does not move backwards. this has with the result that the closure is not opened and the weapon (with a self-loading pistol of the Colt Browing construction) cannot be disassembled. So you can do not load the weapon secured by the combination lock. Therefore, it cannot be used by an unauthorized person be loaded secretly, which then for example could lead to an accident if the beneficiary - in the Conviction that the weapon is not loaded - after unlocking the combination lock does a stroke exercise. In addition, the essential parts can run and Closure can not be removed.
- FIG. 1 to 3 show a conventional one at first glance Self-loading pistol based on the Colt Browning principle, with a handle 1 made of plastic, with Steel inlays is reinforced, a lock or sled 3 and a barrel 5.
- a trigger guard 11 is formed on its front upper end in a transition 15 into the handle 1 transforms.
- the pistol has a cock 7 and a trigger trigger 9, the relaxed state of the weapon (Fig. 1 to 3) is inevitably connected to the tap 7, i.e. when the relaxed cock 7 moves backwards the trigger 9 must also move backwards.
- There is also a breech catch lever on each side of the gun (for convenient operation by both right and right also provided by left-handers) with a continuous shaft; this assembly is designated 13 in total.
- New and therefore unusual is an overall cylindrical, horizontal, transverse combination lock 17, which penetrates the transition 15.
- This combination lock has three coaxial number or number disks 23.
- the Transition 15 has a window 21 facing the trigger 9 through which one of the number disks 23 is set Combination is visible and adjustable.
- the Axis of the combination lock 17 is as a push button lock 19 trained.
- the push button lock 19 is on both sides of the gun (Fig. 1 and 2) visible.
- the weapon is secured and the combination lock 17 can be any position of the number disks 23 have. This position of the combination lock 17 is shown in FIG. 7.
- the push button lock 19 is pushed in on the left side, until they're roughly flush with the left surface of transition 15 completes, then it is on the right Side of the gun over the right surface of the Transition 15 over and the gun is unlocked. This The position of the combination lock 17 is shown in FIG. 8. With the index finger (the trigger finger) the respective Position of the push button lock 19 can be felt, indifferent whether the user right the pistol or your left hand.
- This location of the Combination lock 17 is shown in FIG. 9. Will the push button fuse returned to one of the operating locations (Fig. 7 or 8), then the new combination remains until re-setting valid.
- Fig. 3 shows that the number disks 23 for the volatile Observers are not recognizable.
- the digits are in introduced the outer circumference of the number disks 23 and are aligned in such a direction that the Setting a number combination (when looking at the numbers have to be and stand upright, of course) the muzzle of the handgun away from the user has.
- the snap fastener 19 has near its right end a recess or inside the transition 15 Transverse groove 27, which with the push button lock pressed to the right 19 opens into a longitudinal groove, which in Handle 1 is formed. Runs in this longitudinal groove a rod extension 25, which is connected to the trigger 9 is (Fig. 4 to 6).
- This rod extension 25 extends from the rear and up to the front and down as well as across the push button lock 19 and ends when the trigger 9 and relaxed cock 7 just behind the snap fastener 19 (Figs. 4 and 5). If the push button lock 19 or the push button is in the "safe" position (Fig. 7), then the rod extension 25 bumps when trying to pull the trigger 9 against the push button, so that the trigger 9 can not be moved backwards. In order to but the relaxed cock 7 cannot be moved, and this inhibits the closure, so that this too cannot be moved.
- the transverse axis of the locking catch device 13 also has a transverse groove (no reference number), through which the Rod extension 25 runs through. If the deduction 9 is not removed, the rod extension locks accordingly 25 the movement of said transverse axis in its Longitudinal direction so that the gun cannot be disassembled can.
- the push button is moved to the position in FIG. 8 ("Unlocked"), then the transverse groove 27 is in front of the front End of the rod extension 25 (Fig. 5).
- the trigger 9 are deducted (Fig. 6), because the rod extension 25 can move into the transverse groove 27.
- the rod extension 25 continues to dive rear from the transverse groove of the transverse axis of the breech catcher 13 out, so that they expand now leaves and the pistol can then be dismantled further.
- the combination lock 17 shown in FIGS. 7 to 9 can be seen in the cut transition 15 and is from viewed in front.
- the right side of FIGS. 7 to 9 corresponds the left side of the handgun, as this is from behind, i.e. from the shooter, is viewed (the mouth points to the front).
- the combination lock 17 has the push button as the axis Push button lock 19 on. Sitting on this axis, from starting from the end with the transverse groove 27, three successive ones Number discs 23. These have a ring-like Outer wreath on the outside Bears digits 0 to 9. In this outer wreath there is in each case an axially parallel, open to the transverse groove 27 Blind hole that receives a detent spring and a detent ball. The outer ring is radially inward by ten Teeth 35 extended, between which there is a distance is present.
- a locking disk is located opposite each of the locking balls 31 fixed non-rotatably, each in one wreath-like arrangement has ten locking holes. If a number plate 23 is rotated, it snaps every 36 ° a, at the window 21 (in Fig. 7 to 9 behind the Drawing level and not visible) one digit each becomes visible.
- the end portion of the push button in which the transverse groove 27 is provided has a non-circular cross-section, so that the push button cannot turn and the transverse groove 27 always faces the rod extension 25 is.
- three slides 33 are provided, which have the shape of cylinder liners on the outside a lead along about two thirds of a generator is provided.
- the teeth 35 of the internal toothing are seated loose on each of these cylinder liners. In the operating situation 7 and 8 penetrates the projection each the space between two teeth 35 of the corresponding Internal gearing.
- the locking washers 31 are with their outer circumference in the Receiving hole centered in the transition 15 and have a Inner bore on which the cylinder liner section mentioned the slide 33 lets through. From this inner hole each goes out a recess that dimensioned so is that it allows the projection of the sliders 33 to pass through if this corresponding slide 33 in the appropriate rotational position.
- the locking ball just mentioned can be in one of the ring grooves 37 come up, which are arranged so that the push button in the secured position (Fig. 7) and in the unlocked Position (Fig. 8) snaps into place. From the internal ring groove 37 the shoulder is a little removed so that the push button Movable even further beyond the securing position is until the shoulder almost up to the locking ball strikes (Fig. 9). However, the bore of the Breech 43 a portion of smaller diameter than that of the shoulder so that the shoulder cannot be pushed outwards.
- an end plate 39 Between the first number plate 23 and the adjacent one Locking sleeve 43 is an end plate 39. This has an inner bore and a recess - like the locking washers 31. All recesses of the locking washer 31 and the end plate 39 are aligned.
- the projections of the respective slider 33 are opposite the adjacent recess at an angle or in the circumferential direction offset so that the one on the left the push button sticking out of the gun is not pressed can be. This position is shown in Fig. 7 and corresponds the secure location.
