Definitions
- the present invention relates to a folder with a former and a former Cross cutting device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Web printing machines e.g. Web offset printing machines print an endless Material web, for example made of paper.
- a folder of the printing press Longitudinally folded web from a funnel and then cut into signatures. The Signatures can then be collected in a collator.
- Another way to open folded signatures is to use a Gripper. To open the signature, it is gripped by a gripper device then opened. However, the gripper device can do the signature to damage.
- US 3,762,697 discloses a delivery device for use with a folder a web press.
- the paper webs are based on cutting knife cylinders Cut sheet length, transported to the folding knife cylinders and by means of Folded rollers folded. Then the folding sheets are removed with the help of Bucket wheels passed on conveyor belts.
- the opening of the signatures appears not to be taken into account and the apparatus uses a complicated folder Fold in the signatures.
- the paddle wheel and the folder cause in the Device time-consuming and difficult repairs and offer no options for Gathering.
- EP 0 479 067 B1 discloses a collating device for collecting and Filing of signatures equipped with an encircling first receiving element is that as a rectangular conveyor system with a plurality of receiving sections is designed that are open to the outside. The individual signatures are on stored in the recording sections and collected in book blocks. The book blocks are transported to a first receiving element, which then receives the signatures transported to a second receiving element, where the book blocks by means of height-adjustable back stops can be removed. The second receiving element brings then the book blocks to the transport device.
- the signatures are in the order in the block of books in which they are put together, since none Device for opening the signatures and inserting other signatures is present.
- the device has a complicated arrangement of movable Share, making repair and maintenance work time consuming and costly can.
- An inventive folder with a former for longitudinal folding one Material web and with a downstream of the former in the web running direction Cross cutting device is characterized by a first cross cutting device, which the material web cuts in sections, a signature opening device between the two sides of the longitudinally folded and sectionally cut Material web, and the second downstream of the former in the web running direction Cross cutting device, which cuts the material web in sections and in Distributes signatures (22).
- the folder according to the invention there is no need to have a signature to a separate device in a process following the folding process to open.
- the signature opening device can take care of opening the signature. Consequently
- the present invention eliminates the need to use a folded signature Open the signature fold, which makes the printing process more economical and efficient becomes. Furthermore, the use of grippers, which prevents damage to the signatures. In addition, the Speed of the entire gathering process can be accelerated.
- the cross-cutting devices are preferably cutting cylinders arranged in pairs.
- the funnel of the device according to the invention preferably straightens the plurality of Partial cuts in the web from the side. Lateral alignment allows the second Cutting cylinder pair to separate a signature from the web by attaching the web to it cut exactly where there is no cut from the first pair of cutting cylinders is.
- the material web is thus each of the individual cross-cutting devices sectionally cut or perforated.
- the second pair of cutting cylinders of the device according to the invention can be a Provide a recess to allow a fixed sword to protrude through. Through the recess there is the possibility of the fixed sword the second Allow cutting cylinder pair to pass, which makes it the second cutting cylinder pair it is possible to cut through the signature without closing the fixed sword touch or damage.
- the thickness of the fixed sword preferably increases after the second Cutting cylinder pair and thereby spreads the edges of a signature apart, all the more so to open the signature.
- the increasing thickness advantageously enables one Positioning the signature on moving swords without a gripper or one to require other opening device to open the signature.
- the fixed sword has an opening that a variety of allows moving wedge swords to run through the fixed sword.
- the opening allows the moving wedge swords through the fixed Run the sword through and remove the signatures from the fixed sword.
- the present invention can further be a sword conveying device for Transport a variety of moving swords or wedge swords.
- the sword conveyor offers the possibility of the signatures on the swords to transport to other devices according to the invention, where the swords more Record signatures, or for other processing steps in the gathering process to transport.
- Several signatures can be overlaid on a transport sword, or be collected.
- the sword conveyor preferably moves perpendicular to the direction of the Signature current.
- the sword conveyor device according to the invention can also be at an angle of move about 45 degrees to the direction of flow of the signature stream.
- the movement of the Sword conveyor reduces the relative speed between the signature and the sword conveyor.
- the present invention can be used at higher Speeds are used without causing damage to the signature.
- a collating device according to the invention with several folders is also intended.
- the collating device according to the invention with several as described above Folders are characterized by a conveying device for conveying a first one cross-cut signature of a first folder and at least for transportation a second cross-cut signature of a second folder, the first and the second signature by a respective signature opening device of the first and of the second folder opened and collated on the conveyor become.
- the cutting devices are preferably cutting cylinders.
- a first pair of cutting cylinders 20 cuts a path 6, which moves in the direction of travel 2, with a large number of knives 30, which along the outer surface of at least one of the two cylinders of the Cutting cylinder pairs 20 are distributed.
- Each knife 30 takes one of a variety of Partial cuts 32 in the web 6.
- the web 6, the side area A and one Side area B then passes through a former 8, which folds the web 6 so that the side areas A and B meet and the partial cuts 32 are aligned laterally become.
- the "shadow" of the former 8 i.e. in the area in which the former 8 the web 6 folds and the side areas A and B meet one another fixed sword 12, which as indicated by the dashed lines in Fig.
- the web 6 leaves the hopper 8, the fixed sword 12 in the web 6 is located between the side areas A and B and the partial cuts 32 are aligned.
- the web 6 passes a second pair of cutting cylinders 10, which cuts the web 6 into a sequence of signatures 22.
- the thickness of the fixed sword 12 increases, which thus spreads the sides of the signature 22 opposite the fold.
- the fixed sword 12 opens the signature 22, so that the signature 22 fits on one of the many moving swords 14.
- the moving swords 14 are timed so that the leading edge 36 of the signature 22 is not in contact with the Tip of a first moving sword 34 device.
- a second signature 40 is placed on a second moving sword 38 stored and a third signature 44 comes on a third moving sword 46 to rest.
- a sword conveyor 16 transports the moving swords 14, 34, 38, 46 in a second direction 18, which is perpendicular to the direction of movement of the Signature 22 is.
- Fig. 2 shows a side view of the folder 1 and also forms the partial cuts 32 in the Lane 6 off.
- the side view shows the first pair of cutting cylinders 20 in relation to the Web 6, the former 8 and the fixed sword 12.
- the funnel 8 aligns the partial cuts 32 Lane 6 on the fixed sword 12 and thus from the side.
- the lateral alignment enables the second pair of cutting cylinders 10 to signatures 22 from web 6 separate by cutting the web 6 at substantially the places where no cut has been made through the first pair of cutting cylinders 20.
- the second pair of cutting cylinders 10 sets a plurality of second knives 50 one running along the outer surface of at least one cylinder of the second Cutting cylinder pairs 10 are distributed.
- a recess 24 enables the fixed sword 12, protrude through the second pair of cutting cylinders 10 and creates space for that Fixed sword 12.
- the recess 24 enables the fixed sword 12 in addition, from the underside of the funnel 8 through the second pair of cutting cylinders 10 hin micragen.
- FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the present invention for collating, which comprises a first folder 60 and a second folder 62 which correspond to those 1 and 2 are similar.
- the first folder 60 places the signature 22 on a first one Gathering sword 114, while the second folder 62 another folded signature 64 on a second collective sword 66.
- This further signature 64 is therefore above a second folded signature 68 that the first folder 60 to an earlier Time in the collation process.
- the sword conveyor 16 then transports the collective swords in the direction of 113, so that the first Collective sword 114 arrives at the second folder 62 and the second collective sword 66 transported to another folder or to another destination becomes.
- Fig. 4 shows a second embodiment of the device according to the invention, which includes a fork-shaped fixed sword 120.
- the fork-shaped stationary sword 120 has an opening between two bifurcated sections in the lower section that it allows a large number of wedge swords 100 to run in direction 111.
- the Movement of the signatures takes place through the wedge swords 100 in cooperation with the folded edge 21 of the signature 22. Due to the shape of the forked fixed sword 120 the sides of the signature 22 become the outside of the open fixed sword 120 transported.
- the wedge swords 100 driven by the sword conveyor 16 pass through the opening between the forks of the fixed sword 120 and thereby come into contact with the inside of the signature 22 and pull the signature 22 from the fixed sword 120.
- the wedge swords 100 then transport the Signature 22 further to a subordinate fixed sword or another subordinate destination.
- Fig. 5 shows a top view of a collating device with three forked fixed Swords 702, 704, 706, which are similar to the swords shown in FIG. 4, and six Signatures 710, 712, 714, 716, 718, 720.
- a first wedge sword 750 similar to the sword 100 in Fig. 4, the opening of the first forked fixed sword 702 and thus comes into contact with the inside of the first partially gathered Signature 710 and pulls the first partially collected signature 710 from the first forked fixed sword 702. While the first wedge sword 750 through the Passes through the opening, a second wedge sword 752 passes the opening of the second forked fixed sword 704 and pulls the second partially gathered Signature 712 from the second forked fixed sword 704. Runs in at the same time third wedge sword 754 through the third forked fixed sword 706 to the to record the third partially collected signature 714.
- the ones listed here Work steps can, but do not necessarily have to take place simultaneously.
- the fifth wedge sword 758 bears the fourth signature 716, while the sixth wedge sword 760 the sixth partially collated signature 718 and the seventh partially collected signature 720.
- the fourth and the sixth signature 716, 718 are subtracted from the first forked fixed sword 702 and the seventh partially collected signature 720 is from the second forked fixed sword 704 has been withdrawn.
- Fig. 6 shows a third embodiment of the device according to the invention, which contains the sword conveyor 16.
- the folder similar to that in Fig. 4th illustrated folder, places the signature 22 on one of the moving swords 14 of the sword conveyor 16 from that by a forked fixed sword passes.
- the sword conveyor 16 moves in a non-vertical Direction 56 at an angle of approximately 45 degrees to the direction of downward movement 58 the signature 22.
- An angle 54 defines the deviation of the non-perpendicular direction 56 from the direction of the downward movement 58 of the signature 22.
- the angle 54 defines a speed component 55 of the signature 22, which is the transfer of the signature 22 to the sword conveyor 16 facilitated.
- “Sword” is defined here as a three-dimensional, possibly flat object on which one side can be made thinner than the other two and that of any shape or size or any material.
- the direction of the former can be different from that described above Embodiments differ.
- the folded web could be horizontal instead of vertical direction.
- the device in FIG. 6 90 degrees clockwise, so that the sword conveyor would move towards the top left corner of the page (rather than as shown in Towards the lower left corner). So gravity could do this to advantage help keep the signatures on the moving swords.
