Definitions
- the invention is based on a fuel injector according to the genus of the main claim.
- DE 197 36 682 A1 describes a fuel injection valve known, which is characterized in that on downstream end of the valve a guide and Seating area is provided by three disc-shaped Elements is formed. There is a swirl element between a guide element and a valve seat element embedded.
- the guide element serves to guide it protruding, axially movable valve needle, while a Valve closing section of the valve needle with a Valve seat surface of the valve seat element cooperates.
- the Swirl element has an inner opening area multiple swirl channels that are not related to the outer circumference of the swirl element are connected. The whole Opening area extends completely over the axial Thickness of the swirl element.
- a disadvantage of the from the above publication known fuel injector is in particular the high manufacturing costs, which on the one hand increased in Production costs and on the other hand in inhomogeneities in the injected mixture cloud and resulting asymmetrical spray patterns as well as deviating Flow rates.
- the fuel injector according to the invention with the has characteristic features of the main claim in contrast, the advantage that the swirl module by small dimensions of the cord twisted together Wires that enclose swirl-generating cavities, very much can be made small.
- the swirl module can be in simple in any standard Fuel injectors are used. Through the Arrangement of the swirl module on the downstream side of the Sealing seat can be any injection angle relative to Longitudinal axis of the fuel injector can be realized, without having to redirect the fuel jet.
- wires for example made of tungsten manufacture or to lead in the form of glass fibers, because this reduces the diameter of the wires to a minimum can be.
- the sleeve, the receiving component and the wires are subject not the demand for high precision, so all Components are inexpensive to manufacture.
- a fuel injector 1 is in the form of a Fuel injector 1 for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing, spark-ignited Running internal combustion engines. This is suitable Fuel injector 1 in particular for direct Injecting fuel into a not shown Combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine.
- the fuel injector 1 consists of a Nozzle body 2, in which a valve needle 3 is arranged.
- the valve needle 3 stands with a valve closing body 4 in Active connection with one on a valve seat body 5 arranged valve seat surface 6 to a sealing seat interacts.
- the valve seat body 5 is in a recess of the nozzle body 2 can be used.
- Fuel injector 1 is in the Embodiment around an inward opening Fuel injector 1, which has a Spray opening 7 has.
- the nozzle body 2 is through a Seal 8 against the outer pole 9 of a magnetic coil 10 sealed.
- the magnet coil 10 is in a coil housing 11 encapsulated and wound on a bobbin 12, which bears against an inner pole 13 of the magnet coil 10.
- the Inner pole 13 and outer pole 9 are through a gap 26 separated from each other and are based on one Connecting component 29 from.
- the solenoid 10 is a Line 19 from via an electrical plug contact 17th supplyable electric current excited.
- the plug contact 17 is surrounded by a plastic sheath 18, which on Inner pole 13 may be molded.
- the valve needle 3 is in a valve needle guide 14 led, which is disc-shaped.
- a paired adjusting disc 15 is used for stroke adjustment the other side of the shim 15 is a Anchor 20.
- This stands over a first flange 21 non-positively in connection with the valve needle 3, which by a weld seam 22 with the first flange 21 connected is.
- One is supported on the first flange 21 Return spring 23, which in the present design of the Fuel injector 1 through a sleeve 24 Bias is brought.
- a second flange 31, which with the valve needle 3 over a weld 33 is connected serves as the lower one Armature stop.
- the fuel injector 1 is by a Seal 28 against a not shown Sealed fuel line.
- a swirl module 34 is located on the outflow side of the sealing seat arranged, which is preferably at a spray angle ⁇ with respect to a longitudinal axis 35 of the Fuel injector 1 is inclined.
- the swirl module 34 is shown in more detail in Figures 2 and 4 and 5.
- valve needle 3 If the coil current is switched off, the armature 20 falls sufficient degradation of the magnetic field by the pressure of the Return spring 23 from the inner pole 13, whereby the valve needle 3 is in operative connection with the flange 21 moved against the stroke direction. The valve needle 3 will thereby moving in the same direction, causing the Valve closing body 4 is placed on the valve seat 6 and the fuel injector 1 is closed.
- Fig. 2 shows an excerpted sectional view Enlarged view of the spray-side part of the in Fig. 1st described first embodiment of a Fuel injector according to the invention 1.
- the shown section is designated in Fig. 1 with II.
- Matching components are with matching Provide reference numerals.
- the valve seat body 5 cooperates via the valve seat surface 6 together the valve closing body 4, which on the valve needle 3rd is trained. That is on the downstream side of the sealing seat Swirl module 34 arranged, which is aligned so that a longitudinal axis 36 of the swirl module 34 with the longitudinal axis 35 of the fuel injector 1 includes the angle ⁇ .
- the longitudinal axis 36 of the swirl module 34 thus coincides with the Jet axis of the fuel jet together, creating a Beam deflection and resulting inhomogeneities and Asymmetries can be avoided.
- the swirl module 34 consists of a receiving component 37, which the spray opening 7, a swirl chamber 38 and the actual swirl unit 39 contains.
- the receiving member 37 can, for example, be cylindrical in shape and corresponding recess 40 of the valve seat support 5 be used.
- the swirl chamber 38 is the outflow side of the Swirl unit 39 arranged and tapers in Flow direction to the spray opening 7.
- Fig. 3 shows a schematic representation of a Section along the line III-III through the Fuel injector 1 in Fig. 2 with something changed Diameter of the valve seat body 5 in the cutting area.
- the present embodiment are from
- Fig. 4 shows an excerpted sectional view schematic view of the swirl unit 39 in the area IV in Fig. 2.
- the swirl unit 39 consists of several, shown in preferred embodiment three, fine wires 42, the consist of tungsten, for example, or as glass fibers can be executed.
- the wires 42 are in one Recess 43 arranged in a sleeve 44 and fill it almost completely. Are between the wires 42 Cavities 45 formed, which are used for fuel management are responsible. Each of the cavities 45 acts as one Flow channel. To generate a swirl, the Cavities 45 extend helically in the sleeve 44. The corresponding shape is achieved in that the wires 42nd Cord-like in the recess 43 of the sleeve 44 be twisted against each other.
- Wires 42 By twisting the Wires 42 take the axial length of the wires 42 existing cord, the cross section of the entirety of the Wires 42 or the cord, however, so that the wires 42 on an inner wall 46 of the recess 43 of the sleeve 44 fit and caulk. This will make the Wires 42 fixed in the sleeve 44. Alternatively, the Wires 42 also by compressing sleeve 44 be caulked.
- the whole swirl module 34 can be kept small. This can the dead volume of the swirl unit 39 on the downstream side arranged swirl chamber 38 can also be very small, whereby the swirl flow also between two injection cycles of the fuel injection valve 1 in the swirl chamber 38 is preserved and can remain homogeneous.
- Fig. 5 shows a schematic representation of a Section through the swirl unit 39 shown in FIG. 4 along the line V-V in Fig. 4.
- the swirl unit has 39 three wires 42, which in the recess 43 of the sleeve 44th are arranged.
- the wires 42 lie on the inner wall 46 the sleeve 44. That not filled in by the wires 42 Residual volume forms the cavities 45, which act as flow channels act.
- swirl module 34 Due to the small dimensions of the swirl module 34 standard fuel injection valves 1 with it easily be equipped. A receiving bore 47 in Valve seat body 5, into which the swirl module 34 is inserted can be installed easily and inexpensively.
- the individual components of the swirl module 34 are also simple assemble, reducing the manufacturing effort for conventional spin preparation or compared to solutions, which are arranged on the inflow side of the sealing seat, decreases significantly.
- the invention is not based on the illustrated Embodiment limited and z. B. also for Fuel injectors 1 with a larger number of Wires 42 as well as for any design of Fuel injectors 1 applicable.
