Der Vorderbacken besteht aus zwei Flügeln (1a, 1b), welche mit dem Hinterbacken (2) über zwei unabhängige Stäbe (3a, 3b) mit je einem Lager (4a, 4b) verbunden sind, so dass der Widerstand gegen Öffnen bei einer Seitenkraft des Skischuh, im Gegensatz zu einem Torsionsmoment, erhöht wird.
