Der Vorder- und Hinterbacken besteht aus je zwei Flügeln (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b), welche miteinander über zwei unabhängige Stäbe (3a, 3b) mit je einem Lager (4a, 4b) verbunden sind, so dass der Widerstand gegen Öffnen bei einer Seitenkraft des Skischuh, im Gegensatz zu einem Torsionsmoment, erhöht wird.
