Definitions

  • the invention relates to a ski binding with a two binding jaws, namely a toe and a buttocks, connecting carrier which is pivotally mounted with the two binding jaws about a transverse axis in the region of the front jaw, and with a locking device, which consists of a on a base plate to a transverse axis pivotally adjustable locking lever for a locking piece of the extended beyond the rear cheeks carrier is, wherein the locking lever forms a support lever which has a pivotable in the path of movement of the unlocked locking piece of the carrier, a climbing aid forming support for the locking piece.
  • Schilusen with a pivotally mounted support for the two binding jaws make it possible to connect the shoe holder formed from the binding jaws and the carrier either via a locking device rigidly with the ski or heel lift from the ski in the heel area, so that such Schiitatien both the requirements of Departure as well as walking correspond and therefore be used as so-called touring bindings.
  • the locking device In addition to serving for locking and unlocking the shoe holder in the heel area locking lever, the locking device often still has a support lever, which forms in its operative position a support for the extended beyond the buttocks out, unlocked carrier at a distance above the ski and thus the terrain slope When climbing uphill provides compensating climbing aid, which eliminates the otherwise necessary bending of the restricted in the ski shoe in his freedom of movement ankle joint.
  • a known ski binding of this type forms not only the support lever, but in addition also the locking lever a support for the wearer.
  • the support lever is hinged to the locking lever which is held by the support lever in the locking position until the support lever is pivoted. Since another lever acts on the support lever, between the spring and the support lever a spring which deflects them apart is arranged, in which it is pivoted either into the movement path of the binding carrier or into an intermediate position releasing the carrier movement.
  • This lever chain of three partially spring-loaded levers results in a complex construction that allows only two support positions for the binding support, namely one by the locking lever and the other by the support lever.
  • the patent CH 516 319 shows a ski binding with a lever which serves both for locking and for increased support of the pivotable carrier.
  • the as a temple trained lever knows only a single stable position, namely the vertical. Both in the locking position and in the support position he takes the vertical position. Whether and optionally how the bracket is held in the vertical position is not described in detail.
  • a ski binding of the aforementioned type has become known from US 5,318,320 A.
  • the locking lever forms a pivotable into the path of movement of the unlocked locking piece of the support for the locking piece.
  • the locking lever has the same functional position both for the locking of the locking piece and for a support of the locking piece. This is defined by the safety locking of the locking lever in the departure position of the binding, in which the locking lever locks the locking piece of the carrier.
  • the locking lever can serve as a support in the unlocked position of the locking piece of the carrier, the locking lever must be opened by an additional lever against the safety latch, thereby releases the locking piece from the locking position and is closed after its pivoting by manual release of the additional lever ,
  • the invention is based on the object to improve a generic binding characterized in that with ease of use and constructive training, the possibility is created to provide multiple editions in different heights for a fine adjustment to different terrain slopes.
  • the locking lever Due to the design of the locking lever as a support lever with multiple editions and the locks in the individual pivot positions, each determine a functional position for a support, easy handling and adjustment during the climb is possible.
  • the locking lever is pivoted only in the various pivotal positions, which by the spring detent are predetermined and concern either the locking and unlocking of the binding carrier or its increased support for climbing aid. It must only be ensured that the locking of the carrier on the rear locking piece causing locking piece of the locking lever relative to the climbing aid resulting support with respect to the bearing axis of the locking lever is offset by an angle in the Entnegelungs ein a free pivoting of the locking piece between the Riegelstuck and the pad allowed.
  • the locking lever may have two or more supports for the locking piece of the carrier at different distances from its bearing axis, provides an easy way to provide multiple editions to a finer level adaptation to different terrain slopes, because by the pivotal adjustment of the locking lever, the individual editions in succession Movement of the carrier-side locking piece are pivoted so that it requires no special displacement of the pads in the pivoting direction to use the individual conditions unhindered by the other requirements can.
  • the locking lever can therefore be made relatively slim.
  • the structural design of the locking lever can be very different and depends on the shape of the carrier-side locking piece. Particularly simple and space-saving design conditions, however, result in a further embodiment of the invention, when the base plate of the locking device forms a locking piece of the carrier between two legs bearing block on which the locking lever is mounted on two engaging the locking piece bearing fork forming side cheeks against the Locking piece projecting, in the locking position of the locking lever lateral Rastansatze the locking piece cross-piece locking pieces.
  • the locking piece can be lowered between the side walls of the locking lever against the fixed base plate on the ski and held in this down position as soon as the locking lever is pivoted from the unlocked position in the preferably schiparallele locking position in which each projecting against the opposite side cheek pieces of the side cheeks overlap the laterally projecting locking lugs of the carrier-side locking piece and thus hold on the base plate.
  • the distance between the bearing surface of the locking piece on the supports of the locking lever in dependence on the distance between the pivot axis of the carrier and the bearing axis of the locking lever can be selected not to overcome the spring catch supporting moment from Rastrest of the carrier on the locking lever in the individual Fearing positions for the climbing aid. Moreover, such a torque can be intercepted by a positive engagement of the locking piece on the supports on the Verriegungshebel
  • the side cheeks of the locking lever also allow an advantageous embodiment of the requirements for the locking piece in the form of the two side cheeks connecting transverse webs, which may have a corresponding displacement in the pivoting direction of the locking lever for approximately the same pivot angle between the individual pivot positions of the locking lever between the side cheeks.
  • the pivotal positions defining the individual functions of the locking lever spring rest is not subject to any design restrictions and can therefore be carried out in very different ways, if only it is ensured that when applying a predetermined force, the spring catch on the locking lever can be overcome.
  • the shape of the resilient latch and the dependent therefrom embodiment of the recesses for this latch plays in this context just as little a role as their assignment to the locking lever or the base plate.
  • a particularly simple, effective spring detent it can at least consist of a detent formed by a leg of the bearing block and a cooperating with this detent, spring-loaded, preferably slidably guided in the side cheek of the locking lever latch, so that a separate component for the recesses eliminates the preferably on both legs of the bearing block for the locking lever a ratchet for each one the two side cheeks associated, spring-loaded latch If the locking ring of the spring catch has different depth RaustausEnglishept for the latch, so matched to the individual functions of the locking lever overcoming the Spring catch can be achieved, so that it requires, for example, to unlock the locking piece of the carrier of a larger spring travel than for adjusting the climbing aid.
  • the illustrated locking device for a ski binding which consists of two binding jaws, namely a toe and a buttock, and a two binding jaws interconnecting carrier 1, which is mounted with the binding jaws about a running in the front jaw transverse axis pivotally mounted on the ski, has a base plate 2 for attachment to a ski and a locking lever 3, which forms two bearing yoke forming side cheeks 4, which are rotatably supported via a bearing axis 5 resulting stub axle in the legs 6 of a base plate 2 formed bearing block. Between these legs 6 of the bearing block and the two side cheeks 4 of the locking lever 3 engages a locking piece 7 of the over the buttocks also extended carrier 1, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 1.
  • the locking piece 7 has laterally against the side cheeks 4 of the locking lever 3 projecting locking lugs 8 which cooperate with inwardly projecting locking pieces 9 of the side walls 4, and indeed overlap the locking pieces 9, the locking lugs 8 of the locking piece 7 in the illustrated in Fig. 2, pivoted locking position of the locking lever 3, so that resting on the base plate 2 locking piece 7 can not be lifted from the base plate 2 and the ski binding is held for departure in the heel area on the ski. If the ski boot with the binding in the heel area can be lifted off the ski and swung up about the front transverse axis, the locking lever 3 can be pivoted into the unlocking position shown by strong lines in FIG. 4, in which the locking pieces 9 of the locking lever 3 are pivoted away from the locking lugs 8 of the locking piece 7 and release the pivoting path for the locking piece 7.
  • the locking lever 3 is also provided with a plurality of supports 10 for the locking piece 7, which are formed by transverse webs 11 between the side walls 4. Since these supports 10 are arranged at different distances from the bearing axis 5 of the locking lever 3, these pads 10 are used in the individual bringing pivotal positions of the locking lever 3 different levels of support for the locking piece 7 of the carrier 1, as indicated in Fig. 4. In the pivot position 3a, the locking piece 7 is located on the bottom of the three provided pads 10, with the drawn in strong lines support position for the carrier 1 results, which can be pivoted freely from this support algae.
  • the pivot position 3b brings the central support 10 is used, while the base plate 2 vertical pivot position 3c of the locking lever 3 causes the highest support level for the carrier 1
  • a correspondingly graded climbing aid to adapt to different terrain slopes ensured
  • the formation of the pads 10 as webs eleventh between the side walls 4 of the locking lever 3 brings with it the additional advantage that the passage opening between two webs 11 can serve to receive a ski pole tip in order to be able to pivot the locking lever with the aid of the ski pole.
  • the pads 10 are in the individual pivotal positions of the locking lever 3, at least approximately above the bearing axis 5, so that only relatively small torques act on the locking lever 3, by a positive engagement of the pads 10 in a groove-like Support surface 12 of the locking piece 7 can be added. Nevertheless, a locking of the locking lever 3 in the individual pivot positions is required.
  • a spring detent 13 is provided, which according to the embodiment of two of the bearing axis 5 radially on the side cheeks 4 slidably guided detents 14 which are loaded by a spring 15 and engage in a detent ring 16 summarized recesses formed by the legs. 6 of the bearing block for the bearing axis 5 are formed.
  • These locking recesses of the locking ring 16 are of different depths, so that for overcoming the spring catch 13, for example, from the locking position shown in FIG. 2, a greater spring travel must be overcome than from the pivot positions for the climbing aid.
  • the invention is of course not limited to the illustrated exemplary embodiment, because it is only important to provide on the locking lever 3 supports 10 for the locking body 7 and to hold the locking lever 3 in the individual functions associated pivot positions via a spring detent 13.
  • the latch of the base plate 2 are assigned, which causes a provision of the recesses in the region of the locking lever 3.
  • the locking pieces 9 can be formed by connected to the side cheeks 4 metal parts, which cooperate with the preferably also metallic locking lugs 8 to better take into account the forces and wear loads in an embodiment of the locking device made of plastic.
  • the locking piece 7 of the support 1 need not be received between the side walls 4, but can embrace the locking lever fork-shaped, resulting in a corresponding adjustment of the locking pieces 9 and 8 locking projections
