Definitions
- the invention relates to a packaging for meat and sausage products.
- a packaging for meat or sausage products is known.
- These Packaging consists of a lower shell and a lid.
- the lower shell and the lid are made of the same foil.
- the lower shell is shaped so that the Meat or sausages in this lower shell eino.
- the film can be designed in this way be that this has a particular oxygen impermeable layer (Barrier layer).
- the films on the insides may be coated so that the Foils are sealable with each other.
- the film is not transparent in this packaging designed.
- the packaging thus consists of two parts, each of the parts one Barrier layer, wherein a first part of the packaging consists of a film, which is a deformable barrier layer, wherein this part of the package is so malleable that this is applied to the meat and sausage products to be packaged in such a way that these meat and Wurstwaren einelle at least largely in this first part of the package, and wherein another part of the packaging with this first part of the packaging so joined together is that this second part of the packaging completes the first part of the packaging. Also the second part of the package is kinked when closing the package to a assume such form that the package is sealed closed. It arises in particular a lid which is pressed with a clamped fit in the lower shell.
- EP 0 240 571 A1 discloses a film for packaging foodstuffs, which is transparent and may, for example, also have an SiO x layer.
- the packaging of the food is here completely and uniformly formed by the film having the SiO x layer. In particular, it can also be seen that this film is folded over.
- the applicants are still known a type of packaging, the sausage in a Packaging that consists of a film that has an aluminum layer having. This aluminum layer serves as a barrier layer against germs.
- the aluminum layer is both to the inside as well as to the outside of the packaging with a Provided protective layer.
- the inside of the packaging is during the Packaging process sterilizable.
- the packaging After inserting the sausage products (for example meat sausage or Wienerorulstchen) in the packaging is evacuated and subsequently sterilized. Because of this Generating the vacuum and the sterilization is advantageous in connection with the Aluminum layer, which serves as a barrier layer against the penetration of germs that the so packaged sausages have a shelf life of two years, without the Wurstwaren would have to be cooled during this time.
- the Adapt packaging to the shape of the sausages, so that they are packed evacuated can. This evacuation allows a gentle sterilization of the packaging, resulting in positively affects product quality.
- This type of packaging has the advantage that no additional liquid for Heat transport during the sterilization process is needed, as is the case with the Sterilization of sausages in cans and jars is necessary. With time it comes by an osmotic balance to a flavor influence of the packaged Sausages through the used Aufgusslake. Furthermore, results in this type of Sterilization a relatively large transport weight of the overall package the drained weight of the package contents.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a package for meat and To offer sausage products, the mentioned advantages of the evacuable packaging with the This preserves long shelf life for sausages and at the same time that packaged product becomes visible.
- the second part of the package is formed by a transparent film having a SiO x layer.
- the deformable barrier layer of the first part of the packaging may, for example, be a Be aluminum layer. As described below, this can be a deep drawing process be subjected to this part of the packaging of the form of meat or sausage products adapt.
- the deformability of the barrier layer means that this barrier layer is at the deformation must not be destroyed, in particular may not break or break.
- the packaging operation may then proceed in such a way that the first part of the packaging is subjected to a deep-drawing process in order to adapt the shape of this first part of the packaging to the shape of the meat or sausage products to be packaged. It proves to be advantageous to pull the first part of the package deep before evacuation in order to adapt it before evacuating the shape of the meat or sausage products to be packaged. This can advantageously be avoided that deforms the packaging during evacuation more or less uncontrolled. This is particularly advantageous in the use of the other part of the packaging, which consists of the transparent film with the SiO x layer, which should not be deformed too much, to break the SiO x layer and thus a release of the barrier effect of this layer to avoid.
- the package is evacuated while being joined along the common edge of the first part of the package and the second part of the package by fusing the two parts together at the common edge. Subsequently, the packaging is sterilized as a whole.
- the SiO x layer has a sufficient barrier effect to prevent the penetration of germs.
- a sufficiently good shelf life of the packaged meat and sausage products is achieved without the need for cooling. This shelf life is at least 18 months. Due to the transparency of the film, which forms the other part of the packaging, the product is still visible.
- the SiO x layer is advantageously both on the side forming the packaging inside, coated with at least one transparent protective layer as well as coated on the side which forms the packaging outside, with at least one transparent protective layer. As a result, this film remains transparent overall.
- the protective layers advantageously prevent damage to the SiO x layer.
- their barrier effect is retained.
- the SiO x layer advantageously has a minimum thickness of 10 ⁇ m. This has proven to be sufficient for the required barrier effect. At the same time, it can thus be taken into account that the SiO x layer should, at least within certain limits, be flexible in terms of bending without breaking, in order in turn to ensure the barrier effect even during normal handling of the packaging.
- the SiO x layer is advantageously applied to a carrier film. This facilitates the production of the film.
- This carrier film can also form one of the protective layers of the SiO x layer.
- the packaging inner sides of the first part and the other part of the packaging made of the same material can be fused together by the action of heat.
- FIG. 1 An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
- the figure shows a Representation of a package 1 in side view in section.
- This packaging 1 consists of a first part 3 and another part 2.
- Each of these parts 2 and 3 has a Barrier layer 4 and 5, respectively, the middle of the three illustrated layers of parts 2 and 3 is.
- the barrier layer 4 of the first part 3 is an aluminum layer 4.
- This Aluminum layer 4 is provided to the packaging outside with a protective layer 6 as well to the inside of the package with a protective layer 7.
- the protective layer 6 can For example, be formed by a polyester film, for example, about 10 microns thick can be.
- the protective layer 7 can be formed for example by a polypropylene film be, for example, about 100 microns thick.
- the aluminum layer 4 can again be applied to a carrier foil.
- the further part of the packaging 2 has an SiO x layer 5 as a barrier layer 5.
- This SiO x layer 5 advantageously has a sufficient barrier effect against germs.
- This SiO x layer 5 can in turn be applied to a carrier foil consisting of a polyester film.
- This SiO x layer 5 is in turn covered in each case with a protective layer 8 and 9 towards the inside of the packaging and towards the outside of the packaging.
- the protective layer 8 towards the inside of the packaging can, for example, once again be a Polypropylene layer, which in turn may be about 100 microns thick.
- the protective layer 9 may in turn be a polyester layer, which may be about 10 microns thick.
- the further part 2 of the packaging 1 can be made transparent become.
- the packaging process is then carried out in such a way that the first part 3 of the packaging 1 is subjected to a deep-drawing process in order to adapt the shape of this first part 3 of the packaging 1 to the shape of the meat or sausage products 10 to be packaged. It proves to be advantageous to deep-draw the first part 3 of the packaging 1 before evacuation in order to adapt it before evacuating the shape of the meat or sausage products 10 to be packaged. As a result, it can be advantageously avoided that the packaging 1 deforms more or less uncontrollably during evacuation. This is particularly advantageous when using the other part 2 of the package 1, which consists of the film with the SiO x layer 5, which should not be deformed too much to break the SiO x layer 5 and thus lifting the Barrier effect of this layer 5 to avoid. By the previous thermoforming of the first part 3 of the packaging 1, this deformation of the further part 2 of the packaging 1 can therefore be advantageously avoided.
- the first part 3 of the packaging 1 is deep-drawn in such a way that its upper side terminates in the edge region at least approximately approximately with the meat or sausage products 10 to be packaged.
- these meat or sausage products 10 are largely in this part 3 of the packaging 1 eintru.
- the further part 2 of the packaging 1 must be only slightly deformed in order to adapt it to the shape of the upper side of the meat or sausage products.
- breakage or tearing of the SiO x layer 5 can advantageously be avoided.
- the aluminum layer 4 is sufficiently deformable for the deep-drawing process, without breaking or cracking.
- the packaging 1 is evacuated and in the common edge region of the two parts 2 and 3 the package 1 by the action of heat by melting together of these two parts. 2 and 3 closed.
- the temperature at this edge seal can be about 190 Degrees Celsius to 250 degrees Celsius. Subsequently, the package 1 is included their contents are sterilized.
- the films used for packaging can be kept in stock as roll goods and molded and sealed within the packaging machine.
