Definitions
- the invention relates to a rotary screen printing form with a cylindrical template carrier and one attached to it Stencil, the stencil holder made of metal foil or a metallized fabric with a Variety of fine screen openings exists.
- the invention further relates to a method for producing the Rotary screen printing form, in which on a cylindrical Stencil holder full-surface a coating of stencil material applied and the coating for the purpose Partial formation of a certain template design Will get removed.
- Rotary screen printing forms have a cylindrical stencil support, which is usually made of nickel is and honeycomb sieve openings of high fineness having.
- Rotary screen printing forms are used especially in textile, Label and flock printing used. So far the template carrier made of metal or a metallized Fabric exists, rotary screen printing forms are not for Suitable for printing on items that are not regular are, for example, different thicknesses, sharp Have edges or rough surfaces. This includes especially ceramic tiles. Because of the irregularities break the webs of the template carrier so that the rotary screen printing form can then no longer be used is. Rotary screen printing forms are therefore for this purpose developed from polyester fabric, which have good elasticity and abrasion resistance, however, achieve print results that meet high standards not enough.
- the invention is therefore based on the object To design rotary screen printing form so that it also for Printing on irregular objects such as ceramic tiles is suitable and ensures high print quality.
- the object of the invention is also a method for the production of such a rotary screen printing form.
- the first object is achieved by a rotary screen printing form with a template made of an elastic rubber Material solved. It comes as a rubber elastic Material in particular rubber, polyurethane or silicone elastomer in question.
- the rubber-elastic coating acts as padding against rough, sharp surfaces Edges, thickness deviations etc., such as those with ceramic tiles occur, thereby avoiding breaking the Crossbars of the template carrier. Because the stencil holder There is metal or metallized tissue, so in the usual He is guaranteed way high print quality even at high print speeds.
- the rotary screen printing form according to the invention can be used for both direct and indirect printing use.
- the template carrier is preferably made of nickel or nickel-plated fabric, depending on the wall thickness, length, Diameter and circumference are just as little important as that Shape and regularity of the sieve openings.
- the Dikke the coating of the rubber-elastic material can be adapted to the respective requirements d. H. the more irregular the thickness will be are the objects to be printed.
- the invention further relates to a method for Production of the rotary screen printing form described above, which is characterized according to the invention in that a Coating made of elastic material on the stencil holder is applied and the coating under Maintaining the rubber-elastic property partially Will get removed. So it is essential that the rubber elastic Property of the coating even after completion the rotary screen printing form is still present, so it acts like a cushion during the printing process.
- the rubbery Material can be sprayed, for example, Squeegees or dipping can be applied. However, it does exist also the possibility to apply it in the form of a film, by applying several sheet-like foils side by side or one or more foils are wound up become.
- the subsequent partial removal of the coating is preferably done by means of a laser by evaporation. Chemical etching is also an option if the coating is covered beforehand. Finally there is also the possibility to remove the parts of the Cut out the coating mechanically.
- a template carrier 1 is made Nickel depicted with a variety of sieve openings - designated by way of example with 2 - is provided.
- the screen openings 2 are of material webs - exemplary designated with 3 - surrounded. Outside is on the Template support 1 applied a coating 4 over the entire surface, which covers the screen openings 2.
- the coating 4 consists of a rubber-elastic material, for. B. silicone elastomer. It can be done by spraying, knife coating or dipping have been applied.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 show, are from the coating 4 areas 5 have been removed, so that there the template carrier 1 with its screen openings 2 is exposed. In this way, a template 6 and so that a finished rotary screen printing form 7 was created.
- the color is applied to the inside Template holder 1 applied and radially outwards pushed out through the exposed sieve openings 2.
- the areas 5 can be removed by means of a laser beam happen as described in EP 0 562 150 A1 is.
