Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a hatch cover perfected, more specifically a panel hatch as used mainly in inland navigation vessels to close the space at cargo.
  • a hood that is made up of a panel of hatch covering cargo space and two pillars corner brackets attached to two opposite ends of this panel by means of rivets in mortises and in slits. Corners pillars rest on rails, being present in the corridor of passage of people. Hoods are constructed so that they can slide telescopically one below or above the other giving a set which is massive and occupies the corridor of passage of workers. The disadvantages of such constructions by their Extents are difficult to handle.
  • the gangway is limited to legal minimum, so that the opening of access to the cargo space remains maximum.
  • the present invention relates to a panel improved hatch that helps solve the aforementioned problem as well as others.
  • the invention relates to a panel improved hatch which is made up of at least two parties that are able to move one by relation to each other in the longitudinal direction of the hatch panel, so that we can adapt the length of this hatch cover at distance separating the ledges of the cargo compartment from a boat.
  • one of the aforementioned parts of a panel hatch of this type is formed by a plate, while the other part is formed by an element sliding which is fixed on the aforementioned plate.
  • a hatch cover of this type according to the invention is provided with two sliding elements which respectively have a folded edge towards the bottom, each sliding element being connected to the plate mentioned above by means of guiding means on the one hand, and using means of adjustment on the other hand.
  • a panel hatch according to the invention will be made of such so that it goes up in thickness towards the center and therefore presents a cam, while the plate is contoured so that we obtain drainage ditches at intervals regular, whose height gradually decreases from the hatch panel cam to the two extremities of the latter.
  • FIG 1 it is very schematically represented a hatch cover 1 according to the invention which is applied on the edges of the cargo compartment 2 - 3 of a boat 4, more specifically a boat of Inland navigation.
  • each ledge 2 - 3 of the compartment goods it is traditionally course 5, respectively 6 which are each formed by the bridge next to these 2 - 3 flanges of the compartment goods and which, more specifically, are delimited, on the one hand by one of the aforementioned ledges 2 - 3 of the goods compartment and, on the other hand, outer wall 7 of the boat 4.
  • the hatch cover 1 in this form of realization, is constituted by a plate 8 which is provided at one of its ends 9 with a folded edge 10 which is meant to come to apply over the corresponding edge 3 of the goods compartment, while the other end 11 of the hatch cover 1 is provided with a sliding element 12 relative to the plate 8.
  • the element 12 in this case is set below the plate 8 by means of guiding means which are constituted by one or more studs 13 which cross respectively, on the one hand mortise 14 practiced in the plate 8 and, on the other hand, a slot 15 practiced in the sliding element 12.
  • the sliding element 12 extends to the front the end 11 of the plate 8 and is provided with the end 16, a folded-down edge 17 which is intended to be applied over the rim 2 of the cargo compartment.
  • the improved hatch panel is also equipped adjustment means which consist, on the one hand, by a series of projections 19 in which is practiced a hole 20 and which are attached to the side upper slider 12 and secondly by a flange 21 which is part of the plate 8, a series of tapped holes 22 being provided in the rim 21, so that the holes 20 made in the projections 19 and threaded holes 22 made in the flange 21 are arranged in a coaxial position, a bolt 23 being inserted through each protrusion 19, said bolt cooperating with a corresponding threaded hole 22.
  • the bolt 23 is fixed axially with respect to the projection 19 by means of a locking washer 24 which is inserted into a peripheral groove formed in the bolt 23.
  • the use of the improved hatch panel 1 according to the invention is very simple and is as indicated hereinafter.
  • the hatch cover 1 can come apply on the edges 2 - 3 of the compartment goods so that the folded edges 17 and 10 come to dispose of precisely against these ledges 2 - 3 of the goods compartment.
  • FIG. 3 shows a variant form of realization of an improved hatch cover 1 according to the invention, in which the plate 8 is provided at both ends 9 and 11 of a sliding element 12 comprising a folded down edge 17.
  • the plate 8 has in this case a length which extends to a place just in front of respective flanges 2 - 3 of the cargo compartment, while the sliding elements 12 come apply with their folded edge 17 over the ledges 2 - 3 of the goods compartment.
  • hatches according to the figure 3 is analogous to their use in the first embodiment, with this difference that in the case of the second embodiment, moreover large differences in the spacing between two ledges 2 - 3 of the cargo compartment, which come from the deformations of the boat 4, can be overtaken.
  • Figures 4 to 11 show a third form of completion of an improved hatch panel according to the invention.
  • This alternative embodiment is constituted mainly a plate 26 which goes up in thickness towards the center and which consequently presents a cam 27.
  • the plate 26 is profiled so that one obtains channels 28 for the evacuation of water to regular intervals, the height of which decreases progressively since the cam 27 of the panel from hatch 1 to both ends 29 - 30 of this latest.
  • an element sliding 31 - 32 facing each end 29 - 30 of the first cited the element being provided with guiding means which consist of a series of teeth 33 which are slidably inserted into U-shaped guides 34 which are fixed below the plate 26, the two sliding elements 31 and 32 being intended to be applied on the edges 2 - 3 of the cargo compartment of the boat 4.
  • the aforementioned sliding elements 31 and 32 extend in front of the plate 26, the edge 38, respectively 39, of the sliding element 31 - 32 being folded towards the bottom.
  • adjustment means which are constituted by a series of protrusions 41 in which holes 42 are provided which are arranged in position coaxial with the aforementioned threaded holes 37 practiced in the corresponding sections 35.
  • a bolt 43 which cooperates with a corresponding threaded hole 37, the bolt 43, just as in the embodiments preceding, being fixed permanently in the axial direction relative to the corresponding protrusion 41 using a locking washer 44 which is inserted into a Peripheral groove made in the bolt 43.
  • a spreader 48 is applied which also serves as reinforcing profile, the height of which is at least equal to the height of the folded edges 38 - 39.
  • the aforementioned spacers 48 are intended to maintain hatch panels 1, in the stacked state of these, at a sufficient distance, as shown in Figure 11, so much so that the edges folded 38 - 39 sliding elements 31 - 32 do not are not pinched, which could provoke their deformation. Similarly, we obtain in this way the being able to easily tilt the panels hatch.
