Definitions
- the invention relates to a roll packaging device with a roller support that can rotate at least two Has support rollers, of which at least one is driven and with a packaging dispenser for Output of a packaging line.
- Such a roll packaging device is from EP 0 499 954 A1 known.
- the web of material to be packed for example a role from a wound paper web, on two support rollers.
- a Packaging web is in the nip between the winding roll and the closest to the packaging web dispenser Carrier roller introduced.
- the surface of the packaging web has previously been made sticky so that the Packaging line after passing through the first nip on Scope of the web roll adhered. If the web roll is rotated further, then she pulls the Packaging web on itself. If a predetermined number of packaging web layers around the circumference of the winding roll the packaging web is cut off and the end of the packaging line again attached the circumference of the winding roll. Possibly you can also make the entire packaging web sticky, so that a so-called armored packaging was formed becomes.
- Such devices have proven themselves in principle. However, they are only up to a certain point Size of the roll of material to be packed can be used. This is particularly true when the web roll is designed as a paper roll.
- the invention has for its object, even heavier To be able to pack rolls.
- This task is done with a roll packaging device of the type mentioned in that at least one of the two support rollers has an elastic one Covering.
- a support roller must be made resilient on its surface become. This prevents this carrier roller in the still unpacked or at the beginning of the packaging vertical web roll immersed strongly and accordingly high tensions in the material web or the packaging web generated. Rather, one goes the reverse Path and provides a support roller in which Now immerse the roll of material to be packed can. This creates additional tensions in the material web layers or packaging sheet layers on the surface of the material web roll kept small. About that In addition, the contact surface of the roll of material is on the support roller enlarged, so that also by nip loads caused contact pressures in the support ip between the web roll and the support roller can be reduced can. The surface pressure drops, so the danger damage to the web roll or its Packaging is further reduced.
- the packaging web dispenser nearest support roller has the elastic covering. So far, you could do most on the first nip Watch problems. If you look at the elastic covering there, it is assumed that until some nip in the next nip Voltage distribution could adjust. Particularly advantageous it’s natural if both carrier rollers have elastic covering.
- the covering preferably has on its peripheral surface a structure with different raised areas on.
- a structure can take many forms Be trained. It can be made through recesses, about in the form of holes, or formed by knobs his.
- the structure can also by circumferentially, axial, helical or crosswise extending depressions or ridges are formed. Such structures serve to cover the surface of the To make the idler roller softer than this in and of itself would be possible with the material of the covering.
- the covering is preferably made of an elastomeric material educated.
- a material is for example Rubber or a comparable elastomer.
- Rubber or a comparable elastomer.
- the covering preferably has enclosed air volumes on. These also make the surface soft.
- the Air volumes can thereby be formed, for example be that you have a fabric with embedded air capsules used. It is also possible to use a foamed material to use for the covering, for example a polyurethane foam.
- the packaging web dispenser is preferably parallel to the carrier rollers can be moved and gives the packaging web at a predetermined angle to an axis parallel Line of the nearest carrier roller.
- a "soft" or elastic covering the advantage that the covering prevents the helical edge of the packaging web in presses the web roll.
- the packaging web is preferably formed from packaging paper. This is particularly the case with wrapping paper Risk of tearing if certain tensions are the allowable Tear strength exceeded. On the other hand, lets dispose of wrapping paper better than plastic film.
- Fig. 1 shows a roll packaging device 1 for Packing a roll of material web 2 with a packaging web 3, fed by a packaging web dispenser 4 becomes.
- the web of material roll 2 lies here two support rollers 5, 6 on of which the support roller 5, the the packaging web dispenser 4 is adjacent, with a Drive 7 is provided, that is, set in rotation can. If the support roller 5 rotates, then the Roll of material roll 2 rotated in the direction of an arrow 8.
- the support roller 6 can also be driven. In however, this is usually not necessary.
- the packaging web dispenser 4 is only shown schematically. It has a packaging web roll 9 which is arranged on a carriage 10 which, as from Fig. 2 can be seen in parallel on rails 11, 12 be moved to the axial direction of the support rollers 5, 6 can in the direction of a double arrow 13.
- the packaging web dispenser 4 gives the packaging web not parallel to the circumferential direction of the roll of material web 2, but at a predetermined angle to this, so that the packaging web 3 is helical around the circumference of the material web roll 2 sets when the support roller 5 is driven, the Material web roll 2 rotates and the carriage 10 parallel move to the axial direction of the web roll 2 becomes.
- the packaging web dispenser 4 does not indicate in more detail in FIG shown still facilities on the packaging line 3 to the nip 14 between the material web roll 2 and support roller 5 to guide facilities to a To make part of the packaging web 3 sticky, see above that at least the beginning and the end of the packaging line 3 can adhere to the circumference of the material web roll 2, and a tee to the end of the packaging line to be able to detach when the web of material 2 is completely encased.
- the one described so far Roll packaging device is known and is operated by Voith Sulzer Finishing GmbH, Krefeld, under the name "TWISTER”.
- the device works as follows: At the beginning of a Packing process, the drive 7 is put into operation and rotates the support roller 5 with the lying thereon Roll of material roll 2 counterclockwise. Accordingly the material web roll 2 rotates in the direction of arrow 8.
- the packaging web 3 is at least made tacky at the beginning and into the nip 14 introduced so that they are on the circumference of the web roll 2 attached. By further rotating the web roll 2, the packaging web 3 is pulled to its extent and packed the web roll 2.
- Fig. 3 shows a partial enlargement Carrier roller 5 in cross section.
- the Carrier roller 5 has a core 15 which, as in conventional Carrier rollers too, from a fairly stable Material is formed, the weight of the web roll 2 can easily accommodate.
- the core 15 is a core Steel or cast.
- the elastic covering 16 is supported by the Winding roll 2 pressed in, i.e. the nip 14 is widened to a size a. This has two advantages.
- the surface pressure in the nip 14 lowered very considerably, so that the material web roll 2, more precisely their outer layers and the packaging line 3, be loaded with a low niplast.
- the material web roll 2 is not more deformed than before, i.e. dented, but instead the support roller 5. This prevents one that tensile stresses in the outer layers of the material web roll 2 or in the packaging web 3 result in the later described above could cause tearing.
- the elastic covering 16 can be formed from all materials be opposite the hardness of the web roll 2 are soft enough to roll off the web 2 to be deformed. In particular rubber or comes in comparable elastomer into consideration, but also a fabric with embedded air capsules, a foamed material or similar.
- the elastic Pads 16 have different options. For example, you can shrink on an elastic sleeve, wrap the core 15 with elastic material, pour on the elastic material or the core Pour 15.
- a material is characterized by its material properties forth soft enough to meet the demanded In relation to the hardness of the material web roll 2, not stable enough for other reasons. In this In case you are forced to use a somewhat harder material to use. In order to achieve the desired elasticity to reach the surface, you can use the elastic Cover the surface with a structure.
- the elastic covering has 16 grooves 17, which run in the circumferential direction. Between the grooves 17 webs 18 are arranged on which the material web roll 2 rests. The grooves 17 and the webs 18 thus form differently raised surface sections. Your surfaces in other words, different Distances to the axis of rotation of the core 15.
- Fig. 5 shows that the grooves or the webs are not must necessarily run in the circumferential direction. Shown are the grooves 17 at an angle to the circumferential direction. So you close to an axially parallel Line 19 an angle B not equal to 90 °.
- the width of the grooves 17 and webs 18 in Fig. 5 can vary quite a bit. So you can, for example, the grooves Make 17 the same width as the bridges 18 or the Grooves 17 even wider than the webs 18.
- FIG. 6 shows an embodiment in which the grooves 17th are not only arranged parallel to each other, but two groups of grooves are provided, which with the Line 19 parallel to the axis includes the angle B. This results in diamond-shaped webs 18. It is but also possible to arrange the webs 18 as this is shown in Fig. 6 for the grooves 17, so that then diamond-shaped depressions in the surface of the elastic covering 16 would result.
- Fig. 7 shows a further embodiment in which the Surface of the covering 16 knobs 20 are provided, as can be seen from Fig. 8. It is shown that the knobs 20 are arranged in lines that are parallel run to an axis-parallel line 19. This but is not required. You can see the lines along of which the knobs 20 are arranged, also with one predetermined angle to the line 19 parallel to the axis arrange.
- Fig. 9 shows a further embodiment in which instead the knobs 20 recesses 21 are provided, which are introduced into the covering 16 over a predetermined depth have been.
- Wrapping paper is preferably used as packaging web 3. This material is easy to handle and front easy to dispose of everything. However, there is here especially the risk of tearing, but that due to the special design of the support roller 5 or the support rollers 5, 6 has been drastically reduced.
