Definitions
- the invention relates to a support roller winding device for winding a material web into a winding roll with a changing bed made by at least one first driven and a second support roller formed is.
- the invention is intended to be based on a paper web be described as an example of a material web, without being limited to it. Similar ones Other webs of material, for example, can also be used made of cardboard or of metal or plastic film, wound up become.
- the paper web In one of the last manufacturing steps before paper leaves the paper mill, the paper web must go to a Winding reel can be wound up so that it is portable and is above all manageable for the user.
- a relatively simple winding device is here the so-called carrier roller winder.
- carrier roller winder lies the winding roll on two (or more) support rollers. If now a carrier roller is rotated by its drive , she drives the winding roller on her at the same time Scope. By turning the winding roll the Material web pulled onto the winding roll. If the Diameter of the winding roll enlarged during this process, this is not a problem because the center or the roll core of the winding roll away from the support rollers can hike.
- a support roller winding device of the aforementioned Art is known from DE 87 17 259 U1. With such a Winding device has been recognized that the danger there is air between the layers of the winding roll is wrapped. To prevent this from happening the surfaces of the first in one embodiment Carrier roller with an elastic layer. Another one The winding device is not designed trained more as a double winder, but as a drum reel. With this configuration the jacket of the support drum has a perforation through the air between the incoming web and the carrier drum can be dissipated to take off the web to prevent from the drum.
- Another support roller winding device is from EP 0 791 550 A2 known.
- One of the two support rollers is included provided a vacuum box on an outside the circumferential section of the winding bed Carrier roller works. If the role is changed, must the beginning of the incoming material web are kept. The vacuum is switched on for this purpose. The material web can then with the help of negative pressure be transported to the changing bed. When wrapping the vacuum switched off and an overpressure in the changing bed built to relieve the weight of the role to effect.
- the correct course of the winding hardness is of great importance. Usually you want achieve a higher winding hardness inside the winding roll than on the outer layers.
- the winding hardness will influenced by several factors. One of the factors is the contact force with which the winding roll is placed on the Carrying rollers rests. This grows with increasing Roll diameter and thus increases the winding hardness. Another influencing factor is the tensile stress with which the incoming material web is drawn onto the winding roll becomes. The tension is caused by the winding device upstream stations affected, for example by a cutting device or by other devices, that can act as a brake.
- the invention is based, even with one Compressed air support in the changing bed tight To allow the material web to rest on the support roller.
- This task is done with a support roller winding device of the type mentioned in that the first support roller in the peripheral portion a variety of Has openings in its surface with axial extending up to at least one end face Channels communicate with the changing bed has an overpressure generating device and the end of the support roller in the area of the channels that are connected to the changing bed via the openings, has a seal.
- the advantages of compressed air support in the changing bed with the advantages of removing the material from the web adhering air layer through the support roller combine. So it is possible to run up the adhering air layer on the material roll on the carrier roller push away and lead away, so that one achieve smooth contact of the material web on the support roller can.
- the first idler roller is driven is to an improved transmission of drive power onto the material web and thus holds the Slip and thus the load on the material web is low.
- the openings are not easy in the hollow Inside the carrier roller. Rather, they stand associated with channels that are at least one Open the front. The displaced air can escape to the outside.
- the seal is preferably a pressure generating device educated. One can see the channels, their openings with the changing bed now use to feed the compressed air into the changing bed. If the carrier roller continues to turn, they come corresponding channels after leaving the front Sealing again in connection with the environment, see above that the overprint can escape before the web of material comes up again.
- the seal is preferably designed as a flat seal. This simplifies the construction. level Seals can create a high degree of tightness.
- At least the first support roller on its surface Vacuum can be applied, the vacuum during the wrapping.
- This frictional engagement is relatively gentle Way achieved.
- the contact pressure required for this is exerted by the ambient atmosphere that is on can affect a relatively large area. It exists So there is no danger that the material web will be damaged Way by pressure means, such as pressure rollers or tapes is applied.
- pressure means such as pressure rollers or tapes is applied.
- a suitable one Sizing can be done by sliding the material web prevent on the carrier roller.
- the support roller preferably has in the peripheral section a variety of openings in their surface, those with a non-rotatably arranged vacuum generating device keep in touch. In operation results So there is a relative movement between the vacuum generating device and the support roller. By this relative movement makes it possible to always do exactly that Openings with the vacuum generating device connect, which is just in the relevant peripheral section are located.
- the peripheral section can therefore be absolute seen to be kept stationary. He moves but relative to the rotating surface of the support roller. A seal between the vacuum generator and the support roller is necessary to the Keep losses caused by "parasitic" air sucked in. Such seals are known per se. The losses are largely manageable.
- the openings are in this case in connection with axially extending channels, that depends on the rotational position on at least one end face are connected to a suction device.
- the idler roller shows a row below its surface axially extending channels or bores.
- On At least one end face is a suction device stationary arranged.
- Each channel is preferably included in the circumferential direction connected several openings. This has the advantage that to make the surface of the support roller relatively even can be provided with openings without the distance of the Channels among themselves becomes too small.
- each channel much larger than the cross section of every opening.
- This negative pressure can be caused by the large channel cross-sections easily up to the openings be transported, that is to the "inside" of the holes that go to the surface. If smaller amounts of air are sucked in, then it has this has no negative effects on the pressure conditions in the channels. Smaller leaks will occur cannot be avoided.
- the size of the negative pressure is adjustable is.
- the vacuum can on the one hand to different Qualities of the material webs are adjusted. For example, one becomes a for light papers choose a lower vacuum than for heavy, cardboard-like ones Papers. But you can also see the pressure ratios adapt to different operating situations, for example, on winding or changing roles.
- the negative pressure when winding is smaller than when changing rolls.
- the negative pressure prevails, continuously removed, namely wound on the winding roll, so that slightly lower forces are sufficient to achieve the necessary Friction between the circumference of the support roller and the To generate material web.
- the carrier roller is advantageously made up of several axially stacked and aligned elements built up. This training is particularly of Advantage if one for the distribution of the negative or positive pressure bores or channels running in the axial direction used. If you take the support roller out of individual Builds up elements, then you can make appropriate breakthroughs already provide in the individual elements, so that you no longer have to create longer holes. Such bores are technically feasible. However, they mean a relatively high production cost. If you provide individual elements, then it is sufficient if these elements are properly related to each other positioned. The corresponding axially Channels then arise by themselves. Beyond that it easier for handling smaller items too use, for example, when you essentially would like to provide radially running holes with which the peripheral surface of the support roller with the axial running channels is connected.
- All active elements are preferably of identical design. Active elements are those on their surface the negative pressure can be generated. Besides it can for example, give face elements that do not Openings, but only have axial channels. This facilitates production and also storage as well as maintenance. For example, if the surface the roller is damaged in an axial section, then it is sufficient to replace the element located there. You don't have to use the whole roller renew or revise.
- Each element preferably has an elastic surface on.
- An elastic surface is used for carrier rollers favorable to the contact area between the winding roll and enlarge the support roller, in particular with larger reel weights. Now if you look at each element already has an elastic surface, then you get one when you put the elements together overall continuous elastic surface.
- the material web outside the changing bed over a peripheral portion the first carrier roller is guided. Especially then if there is overpressure in the changing bed, around an air cushion it is avoided that this overpressure, i.e. the air that is wrapped with. This can happen with very dense papers where the air does not escape may cause problems.
- a support roller winding device 1 has a first Carrier roller 2 and a second carrier roller 3, which together form a changing bed 4.
- a changing bed 4 In the changing bed 4 is one Winding roll 5 arranged in the direction of an arrow 6 is rotated to wind a material web 7.
- the support roller 2 here has a drive 8 so driven.
- the support roller 3 driven.
- the drives of both support rollers 2, 3 can be controlled independently, for example about different moments or peripheral speeds to create.
- the support roller 2 has a plurality of axially extending Channels 9, which are uniform in the circumferential direction are distributed.
- the channels 9 are the peripheral surface 10 adjacent to the support roller 2. Your distance from each other and to the peripheral surface 10 of the support roller 2 nevertheless so large that the mechanical properties of the Carrier roller 2, especially its stability, practical remains unchanged.
- the channels 9 are above openings 11, which are also one elastic surface layer, not shown enforce, with the peripheral surface 10 in connection. In 2, the channels 9 are shown exaggeratedly large.
- the cross section of each channel 9 is, however larger than the cross section of each opening 11.
- Each channel is connected to several openings 11 both in the axial direction and in the circumferential direction, supplies a certain surface area with negative pressure.
- a suction device 12 is arranged on one end face, which are shown in dashed lines in FIGS. 1 and 2 is.
- the suction device is opposite the axial one End face of the support roller 2 sealed and stationary.
- This negative pressure plants through the openings 11 on the peripheral surface 10 of the support roller 2, so that the material web 7th in this area sucked onto the surface of the support roller 2 becomes.
- the negative pressure is so great that there is a frictional engagement, i.e. the material web 7 is held on the surface of the support roller 2 so that it can practically not slip. So that's it Carrying roller 2 is able to apply those tensile forces to the Exercise web 7, which are necessary to the Pull material web 7 up to winding device 1.
- the angular extent of the suction device 12 defines a peripheral portion 13 over which the material web 7 is sucked onto the support roller 2.
- This Circumferential section 13 ends before a support point or a support line 14 on which the winding roll 5 on the Carrier roller 2 is present.
- the peripheral section 13 ends, however in the direction of rotation of the support roller 2 behind the highest Point of the support roller 2. You can then apply the vacuum also for "threading" the material web 7 into the winding device Use 1 at the beginning of a wrapping process.
- the material web 7 only needs to be in contact with the Carrier roller 2 are brought in the peripheral portion 13. If the carrier roller 2 is then rotated, it ends Suction at the end of the peripheral section 13.
- the material web 7 is then under the effect of Gravity on the support roller 2 and can be up to one Roll core 15 are preferred where it is attached.
- the roll core 15 can in at the beginning of the winding process not shown, but known per se by additional pressure rollers in the changing bed to the Carrier rollers 2, 3 are pressed. When wrapping the Material web 7 no longer against a negative pressure of the support roller 2 can be lifted, but is currently of lifting off loosely on the support roller 2.
- the suction device dispensable.
- the channels 9 are in the peripheral section 13 at least on one end face with the Environment in connection. The adhering to the material web 7 Air layer is then simply in the openings 11 pushed in and can then via the channels 9 to Escape the environment.
- the material web 7 is not between the two support rollers 2, 3 passed through, but wraps around the Carrier roller 2 outside of the changing bed comes from outside So from above into the changing bed 4.
- the compressed air acts rather exclusively to the outside of the top layer of the Winding roll 5, i.e. to the outside of the fed Material web 7.
- a seal 17 is provided here. This Sealing is only required in the area of the changing bed. It is flat and lies on the front of the Carrier roller 2 or forms a small gap with it. This keeps pressure losses in the changing bed 4 small.
- the seal 17 is used as a pressure generating device 17 formed, which is also only in Fig. 1 is shown in dashed lines because it is on the front the support roller 2 is arranged on which the suction device 12 can be. With the help of the pressure generating device 17 can blow compressed air into the channels 9 from where they through the openings 11 in the Changing bed 4 arrives.
- the seal between the sealing box 16 and the peripheral surfaces the support roller 2, 3 is relatively simple, because between the support rollers 2, 3 and the sealing box 16 there must be no space through which the material web 7 is performed.
- All openings 11 can in a not shown Way closed by valves, whereby the valves are either manually adjusted so that the effective suction area on the width of the material web 7 is limited, or the valves can pass through the material web 7 operated by yourself.
- the support roller 2 as can be seen from FIG. 3, from a variety of axially stacked and to each other aligned elements 20, 21 constructed. Here there there end face elements 20, which only serve to to record the channels 9. Between the face elements 20 there are several active elements 21, which, as can be seen from FIG. 3, the openings 11 have with which the surface of the support roller 2 with the channels 9 is connected.
- All elements 20, 21 have an elastic surface 19 on.
- the elastic surface 19 is also of the Openings 11 penetrated.
- the illustrated embodiment can be used in many ways Terms are deviated.
- the vacuum generator can also be designed as in EP 0 791 550 A2 is shown.
- the web of material can The winding bed is also fed between the carrier rollers become permeable to air when the material web is.
