Abstract

Des instruments de percussion, en particulier des tambours (1), comportent un corps creux (2) annulaire sur le dessus et sur le dessous duquel sont tendues respectivement une peau supérieure et une peau de timbre (3, 4). Lesdites peaux (3, 4) sont disposées de façon à vibrer librement grâce à l'utilisation d'un dispositif de tension souple dont la tension peut être modifiée par le percussionniste lui-même pendant qu'il joue. A cet effet, on utilise un corps tubulaire (10) souple se présentant sous la forme d'un corps annulaire (13) fermé qui est intégré à un bord d'appui (14) qui lui-même peut être rapproché et éloigné du corps creux (2) ou de son bord extérieur (6), l'anneau tubulaire (10) souple agissant, en reposant contre l'anneau de percussion (20) en tant que butée, sur le bord d'appui (14) en forme de U et ainsi sur le bord (8) de la peau supérieure. Une modification de la périphérie de la partie tubulaire flexible entraîne le déplacement décrit et influe ainsi sur la tension de la peau supérieure (3).
