Definitions
- the present invention relates to an ironing board comprising an ironing surface and a frame that this ironing surface carries, in the form of two articulated Scissor arm units, each with a lower end one cross arm is connected, each at the ends the cross arms are arranged with which the elements Stands on a surface.
- An ironing board of the type mentioned is for Example known from DE 297 04 693 U1.
- known ironing board is the frame with two each Foot elements on each of the two cross arms on the ground on, that is, in principle, an edition at four points given is.
- Ironing boards are also already known that have one on one of the four feet Adjustment is possible, but it is only allows on this within a very limited range Foot element to create a certain level balance in order for a secure support of the frame on the surface worry if, for example, the underground level differences having. This can improve the stability, however, level compensation is only in the millimeter range intended.
- the object of the present invention is based on the above-mentioned prior art in one To create an ironing board of the type mentioned, in which it is possible with simple means in the starting position horizontally aligned ironing surface in an inclined position bring, thereby the operator to iron facilitate.
- a solution according to the invention provides this object Ironing board of the type mentioned with the characteristic feature of the main claim.
- at least two of the foot elements attached to one side of the frame are designed as swivel feet and these rotating feet can be extended by unscrewing them, whereby the ironing surface arranged on the frame into a to the horizontal in the direction transverse to the longitudinal extension of the Ironing surface inclined position can be brought.
- a preferred development of the invention Task solution provides that those trained as a swivel base Foot elements are each longer than these opposite each other at the other ends of the crossbars unadjustable foot elements. If you go through these swivel feet Unscrewing extended with both swivel feet, yes lie on one side of the frame, evenly, then leads this to a tilting movement of the frame, so that one can achieve an inclination of the ironing surface expedient to the sitting on the ironing board or standing person. Through this inclined ironing surface the ironing process is more ergonomic and convenient.
- An ironing board according to the invention therefore preferably has two foot elements designed as swivel feet and two unadjustable ones Foot elements.
- this is not necessary.
- Rotating feet are designed to be rotatable, these rotating feet in the case of the type of frame described at the beginning, in each case approximately lie in the end area of the cross arm or crossbar should and with both swivel feet on the same side of the Frame are arranged.
- a preferred development of the invention provides that the foot elements designed as swivel feet so far can be rotated out that the ironing surface is variable in one inclined position between about 0 ° and 10 °, preferably between about 0 ° and 5 ° can be brought. It is also preferred provided that the foot elements designed as a rotating foot an outer tubular sleeve closed on one side have and from this sleeve in the axial direction removable thread insert. This is a preferred constructive solution.
- the sleeve shows preferably on the outside shaped longitudinal ribs or the like. If the threaded tube of the tubular sleeve has an external thread has, then the thread insert has a convenient corresponding internal thread.
- Another preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the threaded insert on the circumference locking lugs or locking tongues has to fix the corresponding rotational position. As a result, the ironing board remains in the selected one inclined position of the ironing surface.
- tubular Has sleeve slots and a scale on which one Can recognize the degree of inclination of the ironing surface This simplifies the setting of an operator desired number of degrees, as you can see this, for example, at the Scaling can note.
- the ironing board according to the invention has a frame 11 with two articulated interconnected scissor arm units 11a and 11b, see that a height adjustment of the ironing board with regard to the ironing surface 12 is possible, depending on how steep the two articulated scissor arm units 11a, 11b are set, the latter in the respective Height position of the ironing surface 12 can be locked.
- each of the two has Scissor arm units 11a, 11b each have one at the lower end here arcuate cross member 13 with convex Curvature, that is, arch opening to the bottom of the Footprint.
- At each end of each of the two Cross bars 13 are foot elements 14 a foot element 14 at one end of each of the two cross bars 13 shorter than the foot element 14 in each case opposite end.
- the shorter one in each case Foot element 14 is not adjustable during that other end of the cross member 13 lying foot element as a rotating foot 10 is formed and from the tubular cross member 13 can be turned out to adjust the inclination To achieve ironing surface 12.
- the exact function of the swivel base 10 will be described later with reference to FIGS. 3 to 15 explained in more detail.
- Fig. 1 it can be seen that unscrewing the two on one side of the rack 11 arranged swivel feet 10 causes the entire Frame 11 tends and thus an inclination of the on the frame resting ironing surface 12 is reached from the original horizontal position in an inclined position. Since the two Cross bars 13 transverse to the longitudinal direction of the ironing surface 12 run and by unscrewing the rotating feet 10 the Crossbars are extended on only one side each leads this leads to an inclination of the ironing surface 12 in the transverse direction their longitudinal extent and preferably only by a few Degrees of inclination, for example in the range between 0 ° and 5 °, where a variable inclination setting is possible as required is. Due to this inclination of the ironing surface to the front of the convinced sitting on the ironing board will do the ironing facilitated.
- tubular sleeve 10a which is part of the Swivel base 10 is.
- the entire assembled swivel base 10 with this tubular sleeve 10a and the threaded insert is in the Figures 13 to 15 shown.
- the threaded insert 10b is for shown only in Figures 8 to 12.
- tubular sleeve 10a is referenced to FIG the drawings Fig. 3 to Fig. 7 explained.
- Fig. 4 shows a longitudinal section through the tubular sleeve 10a, from the one can see that these are coaxially molded on the inside Has threaded pipe 15 with an external thread 15a. On this external thread 15a becomes a corresponding internal thread 17 of the threaded insert 10b screwed on as later is explained.
- the coaxially molded threaded tube 15 is slightly opposite the outer jacket of the tubular sleeve 10a.
- tubular sleeve 10a outside has shaped longitudinal ribs 16 to these at Adjustment of the swivel base 10 to make it easier to grip.
- tubular sleeve 10a has two in the longitudinal direction extending slots 19 which to the end of the outer shell of the tubular sleeve 10a are open and at a distance from Head end of the tubular sleeve 10a ends. Adjacent to a scaling 20 is attached to these slots 19 transverse markings so that when you unscrew of the swivel base has an orientation guide, the conclusions about the respective inclination of the ironing surface 12, for example, you can have a corresponding number of degrees Specify the slope next to the 20 markings.
- Fig. 5 shows again the tubular sleeve 10a in the Top view, with the rounded top end 21st looks that when mounted on the cross member 13 the Footprint of the swivel base 10 forms.
- Fig. 7 shows the swivel base 10a in perspective Representation showing the slots 19, the longitudinal ribs 16 and the scale 20 can recognize.
- Fig. 6 shows one Bottom view of the rotating foot 10a, in which one in the Looks into the swivel base and especially the coaxially molded one Threaded pipe 15 with an external thread recognizes the position as well of the two slots 19 opposite each other in the 180 ° position.
- FIGS. 8 to 12 based on this the thread insert 10b first described.
- this is tubular trained sleeve, the outside is dimensioned so that it ends in the cross member 13, which is designed as a tube can be inserted, a portion of which in Fig. 14 is shown.
- the threaded insert 10b has one end four molded locking tongues 22, which one in Fig. 10 and also in 12 can be seen. Further inside lie next to the Locking tongues 22 each have slots 23 so that the locking tongues 22 only at its lower end on the body of the threaded insert 10b integrally formed and are thus resilient. From Fig. 12 one recognizes that four such are distributed over the circumference Latches 22 are present so that they are at 90 ° Distance from each other.
- the thread insert 10b is like can be seen in Fig. 14 inserted into the cross member 13 that the locking tongues 22 overlap the tube end of the cross member 13.
- the tubular thread insert is on the inside 10b an internal thread 17, which on the external thread 15a on the Threaded tube 15 of the tubular sleeve 10a fits.
- FIG. 11 shows a cross section through the threaded insert 10b, this cross section approximately in the middle of the Thread insert is, that is, below the Latches 22 and you look at the lower end.
- Fig. 15 shows a sectional view along the line XV XV of Fig. 14 through the entire swivel base 10 above the Thread insert 10b. It can be seen that a locking of the respective rotational position of the swivel base 10 is possible, that the locking tongues 22 or locking lugs in certain Rotational positions in the slots 19 of the tubular sleeve 10a click into place.
