Claims (6)

  1. A fitting for an at least liftable and slidable leaf of a window, door or the like comprising at least one runner or carriage disposed under the leaf and connected thereto by a more particularly hand-operated lifting device, wherein the device for actuating the lifting device is mounted on a vertical member of the leaf and connected by a sliding element (23) to a or the runner or carriage (2, 3) and also comprises a lifting mechanism (5), wherein the lifting device comprises at least one lifting cam (35) and one ramp element (30) moving in the lifting and sliding direction (13) of the runner or carriage (2, 3), wherein the lifting cam (35) is permanently connected to the leaf and the ramp element (30) is permanently connected to the runner or carriage (2, 3) or vice versa, and the lifting cam (35) rises only to one side in the sliding direction of the leaf, wherein the part thereof abutting the ramp element (30) when the leaf is raised is slightly inclined to the horizontal, and the force of a fixing device (40) of the sliding element (23) is greater than the restoring force of the raised leaf operating on the actuating device owing to the slight inclination of the lifting cam (35), wherein the fixing device (40) is made up of a catch means (41) co-operating with a catch spring element (42) comprising a catch holder (43) operating mainly against the lifting direction (13), characterised in that the catch spring element (42) is movable together with the sliding element (23) and the catch means (41) is stationary.
  2. A fitting according to claim 1, characterised in that the catch spring element (42) is A-shaped or roof-shaped transversely of the lifting and sliding direction (13) and the catch holder (43) lies near the highest point of the catch spring element (42).
  3. A fitting according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that a limb (46) of the catch spring element (42) is non-displaceably fixed in the longitudinal direction whereas the other limb (47) is displaceably associated with the sliding element.
  4. A fitting according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the fixing device (40) comprises means (70) for altering the catch action of the catch means (41) with the catch spring element (42).
  5. A fitting according to claim 4, characterised in that the means (70) comprises an adjusting screw (71) which co-operates with a limb (46, 47) of the catch spring element (42).
  6. A fitting according to claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the actuating device (5) can set three shifting positions, the catch holder (44) fixes the middle shift position.
