Claims (9)

1. A locking device (21) for windows or doors or the like whose moving member (panels) (2) are pivotally connected to the associated fixed frame (1) by way of linkages (5, 10, 12, 13, 18) which are effective as stay systems (4), extend completely concealed between the rebates (2a and 1a) in the panel (2) and in the fixed frame (1) and comprise: a carrying link (5) so suspended on the fixed frame (1) as to be merely pivotable (6); a main link (10) connected to the panel (2); and two connecting links (12, 13) also connected merely for pivoting (14-17) to the carrying link (5) and main link (10), one (13) of the connecting links (12, 13) being retained in adjustable engagement with the fixed frame (1) by an actuating arm (18), e.g. by way of a guide slot (20), characterised in that a sliding bolt (22) is so disposed on the panel (2) as to be guided for movement parallel to the panel plane an extends at least intermittently by way of a stud or the like (24) into the movement path of an actuating cam (25) disposed on the actuating arm (18), and as the panel (2) approaches the fixed frame (1) during its closing movement the sliding bolt (22), actuated by way of the stud (24) and cam (25), can be engaged by way of a securing bevel (27) behind a projection (23) on the fixed frame (1), the latter projection being disposed at least near the suspension pivot bearing (6) for the carrying link (5).
2. A locking device (43) for windows or doors or the like whose moving members (panels) (2) are pivotally connected to the associated fixed frame (1) by way of linkages (35-38) comprising: a bearing rail (35) adapted to be secured in the rebate (1a) of the fixed frame (1); a retaining rail (36) adapted to be secured in the rebate (2a) in the panel (2); and two links (37, 38) which differ in length from one another, are each connected by way of respective pivot bearings (39-42) to the bearing rail (35) and retaining rail (36) and co-operate with them to form a link trapezium whose shortest member is the panel-mounted retaining rail (36), characterised in that a sliding bolt (44) is so disposed on the panel (2) as to be guided for movement parallel to the panel plane and extends at least intermittently by way of a stud or the like (45) into the movement path of an actuating cam (25) disposed on the longer link (38), and as the panel (2) approaches the fixed frame (1) during its closing movement the sliding bolt (44), actuated by way of the stud (45) and cam (46), engages by way of a securing bevel (48) by way of a projection (49) on the fixed frame (1), the latter projection being disposed on the fixed frame (1) at least near the place (40) where the shorter link (37) is pivotally connected to the panel (2).
3. A locking device (43) for windows or doors or the like whose moving members (panels) (2) are pivotally connected to the associated fixed frame (1) by way of linkages (35-38) which are effective as stay systems (34) and extend completely concealed between the rebates (2a and 1a) of the panel (2) and fixed frame (1), the linkages (35-38) comprising a bearing rail (35) disposed in the rebate (1a) of fixed frame (1); a retaining rail (36) adapted to be secured in the rebate (2a) in the panel (2); and two links (37, 38) which differ in length from one another, are each connected by way of respective pivot bearings (39-42) to the bearing rail (35) and retaining rail (37) and co-operate with them to form a linkage trapezium whose shortest member is the panel-mounted retaining rail (36), characterised in that a sliding bolt (44) is so disposed on the fixed frame (1) as to be guided for movement parallel to the plane of the fixed frame (1) and extends at least intermittently by way of a stud or the like (45) into the movement path of an actuating cam (46) disposed on the longer link (38), and as the panel (2) approaches the fixed frame (1) during its closing movement the sliding bolt (44), actuated by way of the stud (45) and cam (46), can be engaged by way of a securing bevel (48) behind a projection (40) on the panel, the latter projection being disposed at least near the panel-associated pivot joint (40) for the shorter link (37).
4. A locking device according to any of claims 1, 2 and 3, characterised in that the cam (25, 46) on the actuating arm (18) or longer link (38) respectively has a respective pressing-on cam (26, 47 respectively) and, equidistant therefrom at least zonewise, a pressing-off cam (30) between which the stud (24, 45) of the sliding bolt (22, 44) engages at least when the panel (2) is in engagement with the fixed frame (1) in the closed position.
5. A locking device according to any of claims 1, 2, 3 and 4, characterised in that the sliding bolt (22, 44) is permanently spring-biased (28) towards its release position.
6. A locking device according to any of claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, characterised in that the cam (25, 46) on the actuating arm (18) or longer link (38) and/or the stud (24, 45) on the sliding bolt (22, 44 respectively) are readjustable.
7. A locking device according to any of claims 1 and 4 to 6, characterised in that the projection (23) on the fixed frame is embodied by a bearing bush (23) of the carrying link (5), such bush extending for pivoting around a pivot pin (6) on the fixed frame (1).
8. A locking device according to any of claims 1, 2 and 4 to 7, characterised in that the sliding bolt (22, 44) is guided on or in a rail-like component (10) which is receivable in a shaped groove (11) in the rebate surface (2a) of the panel (2) and either is itself effective as the main link (10) or retaining rail (36) of the linkage or is securing base for a main link serving as turn-tilt stay arm.
9. A locking device according to any of claims 3-6, characterised in that the sliding bolt (44) is guided on the bearing rail (35) securable in the fixed frame rebate (1a) and can by way of its securing bevel (48) be moved into and out of locking engagement with the panel-associated pivot pin (40) for the shorter link (37).
