  • a headlight for vehicles which has a reflector with a horizontally extending optical axis, a first focal point and a second focal point, which is further away from the reflector than the first focal point has.
  • a light source is arranged in the first focus of the reflector.
  • a diaphragm is arranged in the second focal point of the reflector to form a light / dark boundary.
  • the panel is formed on a support element which is firmly connected to the reflector.
  • a lens On a side facing away from the reflector end of the support element, a lens is fixed, which has a focal point in the vicinity of the second focal point of the reflector. The emerging from the headlight beams are thus generated according to the projection principle.
  • the support element has on a side facing the lens on radially inwardly projecting lugs on which the lens is positioned against the light exit direction.
  • the lens lies with its peripheral edge within the support element and is surrounded by an inwardly bent rand wornem end of the support element to form a gap.
  • a snap ring can be used, so that the lens is held in the opening of the support element.
  • a headlight for vehicles according to a correspondingly functioning projection principle is known, in which the lens is used in the light exit direction in a support member and comes to an inwardly shaped edge-side end of the support element to the plant.
  • this allows an improved centering and adjustment of the lens.
  • the mounting of the lens is relatively expensive. A tightness between the lens and the support element can not be guaranteed.
  • a headlamp for vehicles which operates on the projection principle and in which a lens is adhesively bonded by gluing to a holding element.
  • the holding element is fastened to a support element adjoining a reflector.
  • the lens is arranged on peripherally distributed, inwardly projecting lugs on the holding element. In the radial direction, the edge surface of the lens abuts directly on an inner side of the holding element and, together with inwardly angled ends of the holding element, forms an adhesive bed for receiving an adhesive.
  • a disadvantage of the known headlights that tolerance differences in the distributed arranged approaches can not be compensated by the bond.
  • the fact that a lens is provided which is connected to the support element, the headlight on a complex structure.
  • a headlight for vehicles which via a reflector, via a light source, via a diaphragm, via a subsequent to the reflector support member via a fixed to the support member lens and a ring for fixing the Lens on the support member has.
  • the ring engages with a retaining web, the outside of the flange-like expiring support member and the lens.
  • Object of the present invention is therefore to develop a headlamp and a method for producing a headlamp for vehicles such that a compact design of the headlamp, safe and reliable storage of the lens is ensured in the same and a simple installation of the headlamp.
  • the invention has the features of claim 1 and patent claim 9.
  • the advantage of the headlight according to the invention is, in particular, that by placing an additional ring, the lens is captive in a predetermined adhesive position can be brought. In cooperation with the axially projecting flange and of this radially projecting circumferential stop a secure and reliable adjustment of the lens in the axial and radial directions is achieved.
  • the ring engages with a circumferential immersion web in the adhesive-filled adhesive bed, the adhesive is selectively pressed against the edge surfaces to be joined of the support member on the one hand and the lens on the other.
  • the formation of the immersion web causes a higher dimensional stability of the ring itself.
  • the ring has a spaced from the dip web circumferential retaining ridge which bears flat against the outside of the flange.
  • the retaining web forms, together with the immersion web, a first annular channel which serves to receive the adhesive and thus allows a guided distribution of the adhesive between the flange and the ring.
  • the holding web and the immersion web run together at a distance from a peripheral edge of the flange, so that the first annular channel extends in a region between the stop and a transverse edge beyond the edge of the flange.
  • the ring has an inwardly projecting nose, which covers the peripheral lens edge and together with the immersion web forms a second annular channel for receiving excess adhesive. It thus serves as an optical cover of the lens edge.
  • the inwardly projecting nose allows centering of the lens.
  • the holding web and the nose form an outer side of the ring, so that the ring is designed as a visually appealing trim ring.
  • the retaining web on radially inwardly projecting projections, which engage in corresponding receptacles of the flange. This allows a predetermined positioning of the ring during the curing of the adhesive.
  • the advantage of the method according to the invention is in particular that a simple and safe installation is guaranteed.
  • the lens is inserted and positioned under contact with a stop of the support element.
  • a final adjustment of the lens is made by placing the ring during the curing of the adhesive.
  • the ring is applied with latching with the holding web, so that the lens is held captive in the opening of the support element during the curing time of the adhesive.
  • a working according to the projection principle headlight (1) consists essentially of a reflector (2), a light source (3) and a lens (4).
  • the reflector (2) is formed ellipsoidal and has a central opening which serves as a lamp-sensing hole for the light source (3).
  • a lamp holder (5) is integrally connected to the reflector (2).
  • a rubber covering cap (6) is placed on the back of the lamp holder (5) on the back of the lamp holder (5) .
  • the light source (3) is designed as an incandescent lamp and positioned with the filament of the incandescent lamp (4) in a first focal point of the reflector (2) facing away from the lens (4).
  • a diaphragm (7) is arranged whose edge generates a light / dark boundary.
  • the lens (4) is designed as a plano-convex lens, in the focal point of the diaphragm (7) is arranged.
  • the panel (7) is formed on a support element (8) which is firmly connected to the reflector (2).
