Definitions

  • the invention relates to a parasol for use as a parasol, garden umbrella, Market umbrella etc.
  • This umbrella has a central standpipe with a Umbrella poles on, as well as an umbrella cloth as roof skin, which in the open Condition of the roof struts spanned.
  • a particularly developed umbrella is from PCT / DE92 / 00155 known. It has three crowns, namely an end crown, which the The top of the umbrella forms and when the umbrella closes, it moves upwards moved, a height-fixed crown, which is fixed to the standpipe and for which Coordination of the closing and opening movement of the umbrella rod is necessary is, as well as a rotor crown to which the shield struts are articulated and the is movable up and down on the standpipe. Between the roof struts and the fixed Krone further auxiliary struts are arranged, which also have a coordination task when opening and closing the screen.
  • the two movable crowns In the Opening movement, the two movable crowns converge towards each other means the end crown moves down and the rotor crown up and at the same time the roof struts are spread outwards and tension that Screen cloth. Conversely, when closing, the end crown moves upwards and the runner crown down, and the roof struts go down pivoted closed.
  • This mechanism brings kinetic advantages because of the open one
  • the umbrella is not as high above the ground as it would be if its end crown were stationary at the end of a standpipe.
  • the Construction has its limits, however, when it is used for particularly large umbrellas should be used, or if the screen should be as easy to use as possible. With large umbrellas, the forces to operate are too great. But there will be Umbrellas with large umbrella areas are increasingly required, but these should be easy to use, that means with little effort.
  • a standing umbrella with a standpipe, a Umbrella frame made of roof struts, which are articulated on a movable end crown are, which sits at the upper end of a draw tube that is longitudinally displaceable in the Standpipe is guided, further with support struts, which with their upper end the roof struts are articulated to support them and with their lower end are articulated on a sliding crown movable on the standpipe, and Auxiliary struts for coordinating the opening and closing movements of the roof and Support struts between a stationary crown, which at the top Stand pipe end sits, and the support struts are articulated, whereby
  • This standing umbrella is characterized by the fact that a steel or Gas spring for semi-automatic opening and closing of the umbrella is present, such that the end crown is semi-automatic, i.e. with little Exertion of force by moving a roof strut while opening the screen in their bottom position and vice versa to close to their top position is feasible.
  • the screen is shown from the side, once in closed and once in the open position. It has a standpipe 1 that has a stationary crown 2 at its upper end. Stuck in standpipe 1 a draw tube 3 which is displaceable in the standpipe 1 and an end crown 4 at the top wearing. On the standpipe 1, below the stationary crown 3, there is a crown 5 arranged on which support struts 6 for the roof struts 7 of the screen are supported, by being articulated on this crown 5.
  • auxiliary struts 8 are arranged between the stationary crown 2 and the support struts 6.
  • the Roof struts 7 carry the umbrella cloth 25.
  • the umbrella rod of this parachute is shown more clearly. It consists of the standpipe 1, in which a draw tube 3 is inserted from above is, which is guided in the standpipe 1 up and down. At the upper end of the standpipe 1, a stationary crown 2 is attached, on which auxiliary struts 8 are articulated. The end crown 4 is seated at the upper end of the draw tube 3 which the roof struts 7 are articulated. The support struts 6 for supporting the Roof struts 7 are articulated on a rotor crown 5, which on the standpipe 1 and is movable from. To open and open the umbrella, the End crown 4 to be moved downwards, or the rotor crown 5 must be against be moved upwards.
  • the force can be applied by that the end crown 4 is pulled down by means of a rope, whereby the screen is opened, or one attacks a single roof strut 7 its end and swings it outwards and upwards, thereby simultaneously creating the End crown 4 moves down and the rotor crown 5 upwards.
  • the rotor crown 5 can also be moved upwards. This will the roof struts 7 spread outwards and the end crown 4 moves down.
  • This semi-automatic standing umbrella works with a mechanical spring or a gas spring.
  • the upper end crown 4 is actively counteracted by means of the spring force pulled down towards the standpipe 1, and as a result moves the rotor crown 5 on the standpipe 1 upwards and the roof struts 7 spread.
  • a gas pressure spring 9 in the standpipe 1 housed, as shown in Figure 3.
  • the gas pressure spring 9 sits here their cylinder 11 towards the top and their piston rod 10 extends towards the bottom and is connected at its end to the draw tube 3.
  • the gas pressure cylinder 11 anchored to the standpipe 1 by means of a bolt 12.
  • the piston rod 10 also has a bolt 13, via which the piston rod 10 is firmly connected to the draw tube 3.
  • the draw tube 3 moves within of the standpipe 1. Therefore, the draw tube 3 has a slot 24, so that it passes the stationary bolt 12 over the length of this slot 24 can.
  • the piston rod is in the compressed state of the gas spring 9 10 retracted and the screen is closed.
  • the end crown 4 is in their top position. In the drawing shown here, the end crown is still with a cap 14 covered. If the piston rod 10 is now extended the state shown in FIG. 3 is reached.
  • the slot 24 is drove past the bolt 12 down to almost its end.
  • the end of Piston rod 10 has pulled the draw tube 3 down with it and thus also the end crown 4.
  • the roof struts 7 articulated on the end crown 4 are thus spread out, as indicated, and thus the screen opened.
  • the roof skin is tensioned manually.
  • an Toggle lever mechanism is provided, which is shown in Figures 5 and 6.
  • the crown 5 runs upwards and to tension the Roof skin or the umbrella cloth, this crown 5 must still a few centimeters be stretched further up.
  • a lever 15 is on this crown 5 articulated, which seen from the standpipe 1 angled slightly outwards is. By the way, below the drawing the crown 5 is seen from above shown.
  • this carries a grip ball 16.
  • a toggle lever 17 is articulated from the rotor crown 5 from a straight lever part 15, which is spring-loaded by means of a spring 18, so that it is always shown in the angled position is held.
  • this toggle lever 17 a cam 19 which fits into a number of holes 20 which are vertical in a extending row on the standpipe 1 are available. In the drawing is however, only a single such hole 20 is shown. If the screen is now powerful the gas spring or mechanical spring is practically open, you grab it Lever 15 and guides the toggle lever 17 with its cam 19 into a suitable one Hole 20 and then pushes the lever 15 against the standpipe 1, whereupon force the leverage of the toggle lever 17, the rotor crown 5 over it Articulated lever 15 moves up until the straight part of the lever 15 on Standpipe 1 is applied. In this position, a split pin can be inserted in hole 21 on lever 15 be inserted, which also through a corresponding hole 22 on the Extension 23 of the rotor crown 5 fits. So that the lever 15 is in this Position secured and the roof skin stretched, as shown in Figure 6. If a stronger tensioning is desired, the lever 15 can simply with his toggle 17 with a higher hole 20 on the standpipe 1 in Be brought in and excited.
