Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for packaging Rolls of material that are wound from strips that from a material web cut in the longitudinal direction arise.
- the invention further relates to a device for the production and packaging of web rolls with a cutting station for slitting one Material web in several strips and with a single bed to pick up a stack from side by side arranged material web rolls.
- Such a device is known from WO 95/13980 A1.
- DE 195 35 746 A1 shows the packaging of a single one Roll of material in a packaging device, at the one packaging line helically around the Scope of the web roll is led around.
- a packaging web donor submits the packaging web an acute angle to the circumferential direction of the web roll off while parallel to the axis direction the material web roll is moved.
- the invention is based on a paper web described as an example of a material web. she is however also applicable to other material webs, for example for foils made of plastic or metal or for cardboard webs.
- Paper webs are in larger Widths up to about 10 m.
- the rolls have an even smaller width down to about 0.8 m. Accordingly, the paper web passes through that of a parent role with the specified large width is unwound, first a slitter, the partial webs are generated, which then too the individual winding rolls are wound up.
- the diameter of the rolls is in the range from 1 to 2.5 m.
- the winding station When the web rolls are finished, you have to they are still packed. They usually do this ejected from the winding station, a packaging station fed and there with a packaging line envelops. Once the rolls have been ejected the winding station can be used again for inclusion be prepared by new web rolls, i.e. winding cores can be inserted onto which the Material web strips are wound up.
- the invention has for its object the web rolls inexpensive to pack.
- This task is carried out in a method of the aforementioned Art solved in that the scope of the form a stack of material web rolls lying side by side in the same position as when wrapping one helically around the stack Packaging web is wrapped, the packaging web is cut at positions, the end faces correspond to the material web rolls and the packaging web led beyond the end faces of the stack becomes.
- the material web rolls need not only when winding be rotated, but also when creating the packaging line, that when turning the web rolls the scope is drawn. Because this rotary drive for the material web rolls are available anyway from the winding stands, you can also use it to form the packaging use. In addition, it follows but another advantage of the special guidance the packaging line. Because the packaging line is helically wrapped around the stack, you get by with a single packaging web width, regardless of the width, i.e. the axial length, the Stack. This also applies if the sum of the widths the material web rolls vary greatly and significantly is greater than the width of the packaging line.
- end covers are now applied. Possibly an edge strip can be used, to protect the edges of the web roll and / or to hold the front cover.
- the application the front cover is greatly simplified in that the Extensive packaging practically with the end faces of the web rolls concludes.
- the packaging web is preferably started with and its end completely over the end faces of the Stack led out and there parallel to the end faces severed.
- the packaging line located on the periphery of the stack Cutting the packaging line.
- This has the Advantage that the position at which separation is required no longer changed in relation to the packaging line becomes. So there are no more complicated control processes more needed.
- the position at which separated is located where two web rolls are adjacent to each other. There is usually a A gap of a few millimeters is provided in the a cutter can dip without the web roll to damage.
- Cutting is particularly easy when the Packaging line after the completion of the peripheral packaging is severed. So you decouple the individual Packaging steps. First, the perimeter wrap of the entire stack completed. in this connection the individual layers of the packaging line, the overlap each other, glued together. If the "Sleeve" is completed in another Step be made sure that the individual web rolls be isolated again.
- the packaging web is separated during the closing is, the feed speed of the packaging track and their movement parallel to the axis of rotation of the stack are so coordinated that a dividing line is formed which is parallel to the End faces of the web rolls runs.
- This Procedure sounds relatively complicated. But it is not. Due to the fact that the Packaging track helically around the circumference of the Stack is guided, you have to change the feed rate a packaging web dispenser parallel to the axis of rotation of the stack anyway on the peripheral speed of the stack that match each surface area the packaging web basically in the circumferential direction runs onto the stack. Would one be additional Components in the axial direction would fold result. You can now use this control so that one, obliquely with respect to the packaging web Cuts or dividing lines, these dividing lines but - in relation to the web rolls - parallel to the end faces.
- the packaging web preferably runs through the same cutting device as the material web. you achieved in a simple manner that the Packaging web of each roll of material then the same axial length as the material web roll itself having. This can also avoid disruptive protrusions are like uncovered peripheral sections of web rolls.
- adjacent packaging web sections on both sides of the dividing line at least in Area of the leading side edge of the packaging web be held together.
- the initial performance the packaging path on the perimeter of the stack is relative simple. There are no problems, if the packaging line has no dividing line around the circumference of the stack. But if you have dividing lines generated, then relatively pointed triangular Tip at the beginning of each packaging lane section, which wraps a roll of material. The handling this "tip" requires some consideration. In the simplest case, handling is made possible by that the two adjacent sections the packaging web at least at the top this point, i.e. on the one adjacent to the stack Holds the side edge of the packaging web together.
- This Holding together can take place, for example, by that you can get the packaging line there for a short distance not cut at all. This can also hold together caused that the dividing line as a whole only is formed by a perforation. Finally, can you can also use an adhesive tape so that the end one packaging line is the beginning of the next packaging line so to speak.
- the short connector between adjacent packaging web sections does no harm. It is at the latest when the Material web rolls torn from the winding station.
- a packaging web dispenser is movable parallel to the axis of the stack and a packaging web at a predetermined angle outputs to the circumferential direction of the stack, the Packaging web donor the packaging web over the End faces of the stack and that one Separating device is provided which the packaging web parallel to the end faces of the material web roll severed.
- the packaging web dispenser the packaging line under a predetermined Outputs angle to the circumferential direction of the stack and it is laterally movable, the helical Guidance of the packaging line reached.
- the packaging web dispenser is preferably on one Traverse arranged above the changing bed.
- This Design has several advantages. For one, there is one in most cases, such a crossbar already exists, because at winding stations where the material web rolls be wrapped in a changing bed, Usually a pinch roller is required to Start of a winding process the necessary contact pressure and thus generate the required winding hardness. However, this traverse is only used at the beginning of winding used. If you now the web rolls in the Wrapped bed packed, you can see the truss attached to and would have no task in itself to guide the packaging railway dispenser use. On the other hand, the arrangement of the packaging web dispenser above the packing material web rolls the advantage that the Beginning of the packaging line due to gravity hangs down and therefore relatively easy on the circumference of the web of material rolls can be guided.
- the separation device is also on the Traverse arranged.
- the traverse thus fulfills one third function.
- the separating device preferably has a circular knife on that essentially radially towards the Stack is too movable.
- the circular knife "rolls" its sharp edge on the circumference of the wrapped rolls of material from. It cuts through the packaging line. It is not necessary that the Circular knives with one cut all the position of the packaging line severed. You can also cut it make several turns of the packaging line, until the knife penetrated through all layers is.
- the position of the circular knife must essentially be match the position of the knives the cutting station. If necessary, this can be automated, for example by a common control device, which the positions of the knives in the Cutting station and the circular knife in the separating device sets.
- the traverse preferably carries a load roller, which forms a nip with the stack during packaging, through which the packaging line runs.
- the burden role is, as stated above, in many winding devices available anyway. You can add them now use the packing line to the extent of the Press on the web roll.
- the packaging web at least in sections the same path as the material web having. You can use it, for example Tension in the outer layers of the web rolls and together in the packaging line adjust so that no damage caused by different Tensions arise. Furthermore, can one guiding devices for guiding the material web or the strip are necessary, twice use.
- the separating device is through the cutting station is formed. You can reach this Way without additional measures that the peripheral wrapping of the individual material web despite the use a helical packaging exactly that has the same width as the material web rolls itself, i.e. the width of the stripes.
- the cutting station has a Has sensor that the passage of the leading Side edge of the packaging web determined. With help of the sensor you can then take measures to Packing track in the area of the leading end again to connect, or you can take measures to not cutting them there at all. If, for example the cutting station with upper knives and lower knives works, then you can use the upper and lower knives Only move together after the packaging line went through. The two packaging web sections then stay a few centimeters in length still connected to each other, which is not significant is because this connection breaks when the Material web rolls are ejected from the changing bed.
- the device 1 shown in FIG. 1 has two Support rollers 2, 3, which together form a winding bed 4, in which a material web roll 5, in the present In case a paper roll is arranged. More specifically are located in the changing bed 4, as can be seen in FIG. 3 is a series of material web rolls 5A, 5B, 5C axially one behind the other or next to each other, i.e. their end faces, 1 of which shows a plan view, are each other parallel and neighboring and they have the same or parallel axes of rotation.
- a material web 6 is on the material web roll 5 wound up, cut into several parallel strips has been.
- the corresponding cutting device is not shown in detail in Fig. 1.
- the web of material 6 has been knocked off with help a cutting knife 7, which is shown schematically.
- the material web 6 is ready for the start a new winding roll and is replaced by a Clamping device 26 held.
- the drive takes place when the material web roll 5 is wound the material web roll 5 driven by the two Carrier rollers 2, 3.
- a crossbar 8 is arranged, the is also referred to as a "load beam".
- the traverse 8 carries a pressure roller 9 on its underside.
- the traverse 8 is in a manner not shown height variable. Presses at the beginning of the winding process the material web roll 5 that forms into the winding bed 4, in order to start winding higher hardness to achieve.
- a packaging web dispenser 10 is arranged on the traverse 8, that on the traverse 8 parallel to the axis of rotation the web roll 5 is displaceable.
- the Packaging web dispenser carries a packaging web roll 11, for example a roll of wrapping paper with a maximum Diameter of 1,500 mm and a width of 500 mm.
- the packaging web roll 11 gives a packaging web 12, which is formed for example from wrapping paper.
- the packaging web 12 is deflected over several Guide rollers 13, 14 are guided into a pinch roller gap 15 and from there it gets into the nip between the pressure roller 9 and the material web roll 5.
- an adhesive application device 16 is provided between the pinch roller gap 15 and the web roll 5. This is followed by a tee 17.
- a Circular knife 18 on the plunger 19 of a piston-cylinder device 20 arranged in the circumferential direction behind the pressure roller 9 . It can go in the direction of the double arrow 21 can be adjusted so that it is practical moved radially towards the material web roll 5 or from her away.
- the packaging web 12 is output so that its side edge 22 with the circumferential direction 23 of the web roll 5 encloses an acute angle (Fig. 3) if now the packaging web dispenser during the rotation of the web of material in the direction of a Arrow 24 parallel to the axis of rotation of the web roll 5 is moved, then creates a helical Packaging.
- Fig. 3 the packaging web dispenser during the rotation of the web of material in the direction of a Arrow 24 parallel to the axis of rotation of the web roll 5 is moved
- the device 1 now works as follows:
- the packaging web dispenser 10 is in an outermost Move to the side. This can happen during of winding. Starts from this position er, an approx. 500 mm wide packaging strip 12, for example a strip of brown paper donate. This streak gets on its bottom an adhesive application in the adhesive application device 16.
- the material web rolls 5 rotate as in front.
- the packaging web 12 is advanced and reached the nip between the pressure roller 9 and the web rolls 5 so that they are at the perimeter of the extreme Material web roll adheres.
- the longitudinal edge 22 of the packaging web closes 12 said acute angle with the circumferential direction 23 of the web rolls.
- the packaging web dispenser 10 moves now slowly in the opposite of its starting position End position so that the packaging strip helically around each other in the axial direction single rolls lying around.
- the feed rate of the packaging web dispenser 10 is chosen so that the adjacent winding layers of the packaging strip is about half Overlap the width of this strip. So it will be one two-layer packaging produced.
- the packaging web 12 is continuously provided with an adhesive that the adjacent strips glued together become.
- the bottom layer of the packaging line is with glued to the circumference of the web rolls.
- the circular knives 18 come into action. she are on using the piston-cylinder device 20 the circumference of the web rolls 5 is lowered. Since she are positioned where adjacent web rolls 5A, 5B, 5C are separated from one another, the sheath is exactly between the individual web rolls cut across. The one before by wrapping connected single roles are again isolated, but now have an extensive packaging, which extend over the entire axial length of the material web rolls 5A, 5B, 5C.
- Fig. 2 shows an alternative embodiment in which Identical parts have been provided with the same reference symbols are.
- the run of the material web is shown in dashed lines 6, which also has an spreader roller 27 is performed.
- the packaging web roll 11 is not on one this time Load crossbeam arranged above the material web roll 5, but is located below the feed path for the material web 6.
- the material web 6 is guided and passed through several rollers 13, 14 a cutting station 28 with upper knife 29 and lower knife 30.
- a sensor 31 is arranged, which determines whether there is currently a path between the upper knife 29 and lower knife 30 is located.
- packaging web 12 also same way as the material web 6 through the cutting station 28 travels. However, it is not necessary that the packaging web 12 also on the Spreader roller 27 is guided.
- FIG. 3 Contraption.
- a "throw” with three rolls of material is shown 5A, 5B, 5C. These are wrapped out Material web strips 6A, 6B, 6C, which are made using four Cutters 28 cut to the desired width become. Each cutter 28 produces a section line 32.
- the packaging web 12 is now not parallel to the Strip 6A, 6B, 6C led, but under the pointy Angle that its leading side edge 22 with the circumferential direction 23 occupies.
- the packaging web roll 11 when winding parallel to the axis of rotation of the web rolls 5A, 5B, 5C.
- the packaging web 12 also comes in an area where it passes through the cutting station 28. Accordingly, the packaging web 12 a section line 33 which is ⁇ at the same angle runs to the side edge 22, like the circumferential direction 23. This creates a dividing line within the Packaging web 12, which runs so that the packaging web 12 with the end face of the roll of material to be packed (here: 5B).
- this tip 34 can to act the sensor 31 on the cutting station 28 let that upper knife 29 and lower knife 30 for example Only move together when the edge 22 has passed the sensor 31.
- the intersection line 33 is then interrupted at the beginning. The remaining contiguous However, the area only extends over a few centimeters. It is enough to reach the top 34 to guide the material web roll 5B is still so weakly dimensioned that this connection at the latest then breaks off when the material web rolls 5A, 5B, 5C be ejected from the changing bed 4.
