Definitions
- the invention relates to a sheet guiding device in a printing press according to the preamble of the main claim.
- blowing device known by MAN Roland Druckmaschinen AG in the Roland 800 series, a rotary printing press based on the five-cylinder principle, from 1978 to 1995 was realized and sold.
- This blowing device is made up of a plurality of spaced from each other in the cylinder axis length and the curvature of the cylinder surface adapted guide elements, each guide element has a hollow cylindrical cross section as a chamber.
- Each one Guide element has obliquely arranged in the wall against the pressure cylinder as well as the conveying direction of the printing material directed blow air openings, which prevent the sheet from lifting off the surface of the impression cylinder.
- the interior of the hollow cylindrical guide element represents the blown air chamber which is coupled with a pneumatic system for the blown air supply is.
- the wall of the guide elements with blown air openings represents as Outer contour is a guide surface that the outer surface of the printing cylinder is adjusted. Furthermore, additional blown air openings are arranged that are transverse considered to the direction of movement in the edge area of the guide elements are directed inside and out.
- the invention has for its object a sheet guiding device in a To create printing machine that avoids the disadvantages mentioned, in particular a more even guidance of the printing material on a sheet guiding cylinder, especially the printing cylinder, allowed and an improved Guaranteed entry of the substrate into a printing nip.
- the sheet-guiding device In order to prevent the sheet-like printing material from lifting off from the outer surface of the sheet guide cylinder, the sheet-guiding device according to the invention, which can be acted upon pneumatically, assumes that - depending on at least the machine speed and / or the weight per unit area - directed blowing air flows in the area of the printing nip act on the printing material tops.
- a sheet guiding device is arranged in the conveying direction of the printing material in front of the printing nip formed from the blanket / form cylinder and sheet guiding cylinder, for example the printing cylinder, in which the kinetic energy of the blown air flow is converted into printing energy acting on the printing material.
- the sheet guide device has a guide surface on the underside with openings for the blowing air outlet.
- the direction of the blowing air flow emerging from the openings can be adjusted in the direction of the conveying direction of the printing stock in order to prevent the sheet-like printing stock from lifting off from the outer surface of the sheet guiding cylinder. This makes it possible to noticeably reduce the drag flow of the conveyed printing material and to prevent the printing material from being lifted off the sheet guiding cylinder by a suction effect which arises.
- a major advantage of the invention is that the openings in the guide surface of the sheet guiding device adjustable and thus for Directing the blown air flow can be used. Blown air flows are preferred in the guide surface at an angle and against the direction of movement of the The substrate can be adjusted in a directional manner, as are the blown air flows adjustable at right angles to the outer surface of the sheet guiding cylinder. Furthermore is also a combination of approximately rectangular and oblique against the conveying direction of the printing material directed blowing air flows can be realized.
- the sheet guiding device is arranged in front of the printing nip in such a way that between the guide surface (underside of the sheet guiding device) and an inlet gap is formed on the lateral surface of the sheet guiding cylinder is a tapered course in the conveying direction towards the pressure gap having.
- the combination of directed pressure energy and tapered inlet gap in front of the printing nip enables by the movement and speed of the substrate caused drag flow on the top of the substrate just as noticeably reduced, so that a lifting of the printing material, especially the rear edge, prevented by a suction effect becomes.
- a further sheet guiding device in addition to the upstream in the direction of the pressure gap arranged sheet guiding device a further sheet guiding device arranged after the printing nip.
- This sheet guiding device is preferred can be pneumatically acted upon and serves to guide the printing material at Leaving the pressure gap.
- an outlet gap formed from the printing nip in the conveying direction of the substrate has a widening gap.
- a sheet-fed rotary printing press is shown in a row construction in accordance with FIG. 1.
- the last printing unit is a cantilever 2, which the printing material by means of sprocket shaft 5 and circulating chain systems 6 in the conveying direction 8 on sheet guiding devices 7 transported along and placed on a boom stack.
- Each Printing unit 1 consists in a known manner of a printing cylinder 10, a Blanket cylinder 11 and a plate cylinder 24.
- the plate cylinder 24 is assigned an inking unit and possibly a dampening unit, which are not dealt with here shall be.
- a coating unit is comparable to a printing unit 1.
- the Blanket cylinder 11 of the printing unit then, as is known, corresponds to the forme cylinder of the coating unit, that with an application roller and a coating system is in functional connection.
- the printing cylinder 10 also takes over in the coating unit the function of the sheet guiding cylinder 10.
- Blanket / form cylinder 11 and impression cylinder 10 form a printing gap 12, transported by the sheet-like printing material in the on position and is printed or varnished.
- the printing material lying on the outer surface of the printing cylinder 10 pass the pressure gap 12 contactlessly to the blanket / form cylinder 11.
- a sheet guiding device is in the conveying direction 8 in the first embodiment in front of the printing nip 12 9 arranged.
- the sheet guiding device 9 preferably has has an approximately wedge-shaped cross-section and is with a pneumatic system 21 coupled for the blown air supply.
- the sheet guiding device 9 protrudes into the gusset-shaped space of the printing gap 12, formed by a rubber blanket / forme cylinder 11 and pressure cylinder 10, and is with a chamber 13 formed as a flow channel which is enclosed by a housing 17.
- the Chamber 13 serves to receive air, which is provided by the pneumatic system 21 for the Blown air supply is supplied.
- a guide surface 19 on the underside of the Housing 17 has a plurality of ball joints 14.
- the bottom of the Housing 17 is the outer surface of the sheet-guiding printing cylinder 10 as Guide surface 19 adjacent.
- a ball joint 14 is through a ball nozzle 15 with a through opening 16 and the housing 17 are formed.
- Form ball nozzle 15 and housing 17 a pair of shapes, which technically corresponds to a ball socket joint.
- the opening 16 is always functionally connected to the chamber 13, i.e. the Opening 16 is directed into chamber 13 at one end. The other end is directed to the outer surface of the printing cylinder 10.
- each ball nozzle 15 is individual with the direction of the assigned one Opening 16 adjustable by inserting a tool into opening 16 and the direction of flow of the blowing air emerging from the opening 16 to the outer surface of the pressure cylinder 10 by adjusting the ball nozzle 15 is definable.
- the shape pairing of ball nozzle 15 and housing 17th self-locking.
- the adjustment of the ball nozzles 15 corresponding to an adjustment takes place in such a way that the openings 16 as blown air openings in the housing 17 at right angles and / or obliquely against the conveying direction 8 on the printing material are directed with their blown air flow to lift the printing material with activated pneumatic system 21 from the outer surface of the pressure cylinder 10 to prevent.
- a combination of ball nozzles 15 with openings 16, which are directed approximately at right angles to the sheet-guiding printing cylinder 10, with further ball nozzles 15 with openings 16, which are directed obliquely against the conveying direction 8, for a smooth placement of the printing material on the outer surface of the printing cylinder 10 advantageous.
- the openings 16 directed obliquely against the conveying direction 8 can in turn be set at different angles of inclination.
- the blowing air flow directions of the ball nozzles 15 with openings 16 in the guide surface 19 - seen transversely to the conveying direction 8 - in the edge regions of the guide surface 19 against the conveying direction 8 and inwards are adjustable in order to prevent possible lateral escape of the blowing air .

In a preferred embodiment, the sheet guiding device extends 9 at least over the minimum format width.
- Another training is characterized in that the ball nozzles 15 with Openings 16 individually or in groups in their flow direction (for the Blown air flow) by means of at least one functionally connected Actuator 18 are adjustable.
- an actuating device articulated on the frame side 18 is, for example, a pneumatically activatable working cylinder or a servomotor can be used.
- the actuating device 18, preferably as a working cylinder, is about a frame-fixed swivel 20 and a temporary Link 26 (angle lever with three swivel elements) and one gearbox Coupling 22 connected as a technical gear, which the ball nozzles 15 connect individually or in groups.
- the actuator 18 is preferably provided with a control device, e.g. one Control center of the printing press, connected by circuitry. So that's one Activation of the actuator 18 depending on various factors realizable. So is preferred considering the basis weight the printing substrate (including the printing subject for multiple printing / varnish) and / or the machine speed, the actuator 18 can be activated in order to Ball nozzles 15 with openings 16 to adjust in their flow direction. For example is at a machine speed of less than 10,000 sheets per Hour the flow direction of the ball nozzles 15 with opening 16 approximately adjusted at right angles to the outer surface of the printing cylinder 10 (Fig. 3). At machine speeds the flow direction is over 10,000 sheets per hour the ball nozzles 15 with opening 16 obliquely and counter to the conveying direction 8 adjusted (Fig.
- the adjustment of the ball nozzles 15 with an opening 16 can be carried out depending on the speed. In a further training, this can also depend on a characteristic curve which is in the Control center is given. Alternatively, the operator has the option from the control center the direction of the ball nozzles 15 with openings 16 via the Actuator 18 to regulate.
- the speed values are included Can be stored in the control center and, if necessary, e.g. with a new print job, available.
- the pneumatic system 21 can be frequency controlled in a further embodiment. This allows the volume flow and thus that on the substrate Control the effective pressure energy and also store it in the control center.
- the sheet guiding device 9 seen over the length of the sheet-guiding printing cylinder 10 Cover partial area of the outer surface of the printing cylinder 10.
