Definitions
- the invention relates to a coolant and lubricant guide for internal combustion engines.
- the invention is therefore based on the object, the metal seal and sealing elements (Elastomer) or non-metallic seal which also with sealing elements is provided for the passage of lubricating oil and cooling water between the crankcase and to avoid the cylinder head completely.
- Fig. 1 shows a side view of an internal combustion engine 1 with a crankcase 2 and cylinder head 3.
- the internal combustion engine 1 is in the area of a parting plane 4 between Crankcase 2 and cylinder head 3 flanged a one-piece distributor piece 5.
- the distributor piece 5 is used for supplying and removing cooling water and Lubricating oil, as shown in Fig. 2 in more detail.
- the cooling water and the lubricating oil According to the invention, the crankcase 2 and the cylinder head 3 are separated via the Distributor 5 supplied.
- the cooling water is supplied via cooling water supply channels 6a, 6b for the crankcase 2 and the cylinder head 3, as well as the lubricating oil supply via oil inlet bores 7a, 7b for crankcase 2 and cylinder head 3.
- Die Cooling water inlet ducts 6a, 6b and the oil inlet bores 7a, 7b run parallel to the axis to a crankshaft the crankcase 2 and the cylinder head 3.
- the cooling water passes from the cooling water inlet channels 6a, 6b to the cylinder liners 8 and the cooling surfaces 9 in the cylinder head 3, as shown in more detail in Figures 4 and 5.
- Fig. 2 shows a detailed representation mi area of the manifold 5, which is flanged to the front of crankcase 2 and cylinder head 3.
- the holes 6a, 6b and 7a, 7b are supplied with water or oil.
- the cylinder head 3 is separated from the crankcase 2 in the parting plane 4. From the distributor 5 starting from the crankcase 2 and the cylinder head 3 is now separated Lubricating oil and cooling water supplied. 7a, 7b in turn provide the oil inlet bores represents while the cooling water is supplied via the cooling water supply channels 6a, 6b becomes.
- the seal between the cylinder head 3 and crankcase 2 on the one hand and the distributor 5 on the other hand is short in the example shown Pipe pieces 11 taken over, which have O-rings 12a, 12b.
- the pipe sections 11 are inserted into transition bores 11a, 11b, which compensate for tolerances have radial play, here to the oil inlet bore 7b.
- a flat seal not shown here, could also be used be provided, which between the cylinder head 3 or crankcase 2 and the Distributor 5 is inserted.
- the flat gasket must then have openings be to the passage of lubricating oil and cooling water from the distributor 5 to the crankcase 2 and cylinder head 3 to ensure.
- the end face 13 is then advantageously slightly raised to facilitate processing as a sealing surface.
- crankcase 3 shows an end view of internal combustion engine 1 with crankcase 2, Cylinder head 3 and distributor piece 5.
- the crankcase 2 or the cylinder head 3 contains the cooling water supply channels 6a and 6b and the oil supply holes 7a and 7b.
- the oil drain holes are located symmetrically to the longitudinal plane of the internal combustion engine 1 9a, 9b or the cooling water drainage channels 10a, 10b. According to the invention it is avoided that in the parting plane 4 between the crankcase 2 and the cylinder head 3 through holes for oil or cooling water are required.
- the lubricating oil passes directly from the oil inlet bore 7a via the distributor bore 8a to the consumer - here the crankshaft bearing 9c. In the cylinder head 3 it gets Lubricating oil from the oil inlet bore 7b via the distributor bore 8b to the camshaft bearing 10th
- the cooling water is in the crankcase 2 via transverse channels 14 to the cylinder liners 8 introduced, flows around and is via return channels 16 in the Cooling water drain channel 10a passed.
- Cooling water is in the cylinder head 3 via the cooling water supply duct 6b and transverse duct 17 brought up to the cooling surfaces and via return duct 18 into the cooling water outlet 10b returned.
- FIG. 4 the cooling water guide and the oil guide in the crankcase 2 is measured Section IV-IV shown in detail.
- the right half of the picture shows the cooling water flow, while the oil guide below is shown in the left half of the picture. Reference is made here to FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the supplied from the manifold 5 Cooling water arrives via the cooling water inlet channel 6a and via the transverse channel 14 the cylinder liner 8 and from there after absorbing the heat through the return duct 16 and the cooling water drainage channel 10a back into the distributor 5.
- the left half of the picture shows the oil guide underneath.
- the oil is through the oil inlet hole 7a and distributor bore 8a fed to the crankshaft bearing 9c. All oil consumers branch off from this oil inlet bore 7a, which is crank bearing lubrication just given here as an example.
- the cooling water flow in the cylinder head 3 is shown in detail as section V-V in FIG. 5.
- the right half of the picture shows the cooling water flow, while in the the left-hand half of the picture shows the oil guide above. It is here on the figures 1 and 2 referenced.
- the cooling water comes from the distributor 5 Cooling water inlet 6b and transverse channel 17 to the cooling surfaces 9, e.g. Outlet duct, Valve stem guide and nozzle jacket. Via return duct 18 and cooling water discharge duct 10b, overhead with ventilation function, the cooling water is in the distributor 5 returned.
- the oil guide is shown in the left half of the picture.
- the Oil reaches the camshaft bearing via the oil inlet bore 7b and distributor bore 8a 10.
- the camshaft bearing is mentioned here as an example for a consumer.
- the other consumers branch off directly from the oil inlet bore in the same way 7b.
