Definitions

  • the invention relates to a safety device for the releasable securing of a stirrup on the stirrup harness according to the preamble of claim 1 and one Saddle according to the preamble of claim 8.
  • From CH-C 372 211 is a safety device for the releasable securing of a Stirrups from the stirrup leathers of a saddle, with one for insertion into the stirrup eyelet trained, projections for front and rear overlap the lower Stirrup eyelet of the stirrup eyelet insert and one with the Insert part connected upper part known.
  • the upper part has a strap eyelet for the Stirrup strap, a recess for receiving an upper stirrup eyelet Stirrup eyelet and a holder for a covering the recess in a closed position Flap open.
  • the tab gives the upper stirrup eyelet and thus the Free stirrups as soon as they cross a safety limit Pivoting force is exerted on them.
  • GB-B1 598 635 is a saddle with safety stirrups that are held releasably known.
  • the stirrups of the well-known saddle each have a footplate on their outer ends of horseshoe-shaped stirrup legs arranged in the middle are.
  • a longitudinal nose suitable for a first through opening of a connecting part to the respective Stirrup strap trained.
  • the connecting part faces the first through opening running parallel to a second through opening through which the stirrup strap loop is drawn. Through this second through opening there is also a resilient clip inserted, which holds the longitudinal nose on the stirrup arch in the first through opening.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a saddle and a safety device for safety to create releasably held stirrups, in which or in the commercial Stirrups can be easily connected with a stirrup eyelet.
  • the solution to the problem is achieved in that the stirrups in each case with a saddle are held by a safety device on the stirrup strap.
  • the safety device has an insert which can be inserted into the stirrup eyelet and which has projections for reaching over the front and rear of the lower stirrup eyelet having.
  • An upper part is connected to the insert part.
  • the top has a strap eyelet for the stirrup harness, a recess for receiving an upper stirrup eyelet the stirrup eyelet and a holder for one manually, without any aids from an insertable to a lockable tab.
  • This tab gives in the inserted position the recess for the upper stirrup eyelet under an insertion option free for the insert in the stirrup eyelet.
  • the tab is also stored in this way and designed that in the closed position the recess with the insertable into it upper stirrup eyelet is covered and is only released when the stirrup exerts a swiveling force on them that exceeds a safety limit.
  • the coverage of the upper stirrup eyelet only has to be so large that one the stirrup is held securely.
  • the chosen height also goes for the safety-related triggering required pivoting force threshold.
  • the tab and / or the upper part are now designed in such a way that a safety threshold occurs when one acts exceeding pivoting force, as is usually the case the one who swings backwards in the event of a fall, the distance of the upper stirrup eyelet covering tab area to the recess, in particular the bottom of which can be enlarged in such a way that the insert part with the release of the Stirrup slips out of the stirrup eyelet.
  • the Tab or the recess-receiving area of the upper part perpendicular to the the two stirrup legs containing the stirrup plane may be resilient.
  • the flap and upper part can also be opened like a wing with an opening restraint, which only triggers when the specified swivel force threshold is exceeded become.
  • a problem-free connection of, for example, the stirrup safety strap loosened stirrup is done by manually inserting the insert into the stirrup eyelet with the flap folded away or pushed away. Tools are not used for this needed. The risk of fingers being pinched, as in GB-B 1 598 635 by the resilient clip is no longer available.
  • the manufacture of the safety-releasable The connection between the stirrup and the stirrup strap is made without pretension between the connecting element designed as a safety device and is thereby simply done manually without any tools.
  • the tab is in a longitudinal guide, held in particular arranged in a longitudinal guide on both sides on the upper part.
  • the tab is preferably about a pivot axis perpendicular to the stirrup plane to reach the inserted position pivotally arranged with respect to the upper part.
  • the tab or the upper part have a locking element which the tab in the closed position holds securely.
  • the upper part can have a resilient element, via that the tab for inserting the device is movable in the stirrup and that the flap in a form-fitting manner covering the upper stirrup eyelet web Locked position secured, but holds manually removable.
  • the tab can also be an actuating element for their manual position adjustment from the closed to the inserted position.
  • the safety device has a swivel joint for manual wing-like pivoting of the flap and upper part between Insert and closed position.
  • the saddle shown in Figure 1 has a saddle seat 1 , a saddle cushion 2 , left and right a large side sheet 3a and a cover 3b, two stirrup straps 5 , one end of which is attached to the saddle seat 1 above the shoulder of the large side sheet 3a , two stirrups 7 , in which a boot 9 is indicated, and a connecting part 11 which connects the stirrup strap 5 to the stirrup 7 in a safety-releasable manner as a safety device.
  • FIG. 1 only the left-hand parts of the saddle are visible in the riding direction 20 .
  • the end of the stirrup strap 5 fastened above the shoulder of the large side sheet 3a is drawn deeper. The actual mounting location is shifted upwards in the direction of the arrow.
  • the cover 3b is shown folded up in FIG. 1 .
  • the connecting part 11 shown enlarged in FIGS. 2 and 3 compared to the representation in FIG. 1 has an insert part 12 which is shown inserted in the stirrup eyelet 13 .
  • the two stirrup legs 15a and 15b lie down to the footplate 16.
  • the side facing in the riding direction 20 to the front can be seen as the front.
  • the correct position of the connecting part 11 is important for its safety triggering.
  • the front leg 17a merges, widening upward, into a recess 25 which runs parallel to the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 and whose bottom is arranged in the riding direction 20 .
  • the widening takes place above the connecting bend 23 of the two legs 17a and 17b.
  • the recess 25 With a tab 27 pushed upwards, the recess 25 is open towards the back of the stirrup 19a for receiving the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 above the stirrup eyelet 13 and is covered when the tab 27 is pushed down.
  • One side (in the riding direction 20 ) of the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 lies against the bottom of the recess 25 .
  • the connecting part 11 has in its upper end region a belt eyelet 29 for one of the two stirrup straps 5 .
  • the tab 27 can be moved on the upper part 22 of the connecting part 11 in two lateral holding jaws 31a and 31b, each provided with a longitudinal slot 30a or 30b , as a longitudinal guide, parallel to the position, in the longitudinal direction of the connecting part 11 , ie parallel to the stirrup plane 14 .
  • the tab 27 is designed as a slide with a bent slide handle 33 as an actuating element for the manual position adjustment thereof from the closed to the inserted position in the upper end region. It consists of an elastically deformable material, for example a spring plate, and can be bent up elastically and resiliently perpendicular to the stirrup plane 14, ie perpendicular to the course of the longitudinal slots 30a and 30b . For the function described below, it would be sufficient if only its lower tab part 36 could be deflected resiliently.
  • a ball 35 which can be pressed into the surface of the upper part 22 against a spring force, is used as a resilient latching element for the tab 27 in order to hold it securely in the closed position. If the tab 27 is pushed down until its lower end stands on the connecting arch 23 of the insert part 12 (or the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 is held against slipping out without the tab 27 being bent open elastically), the projecting spherical cap lies just above the slide handle 33. As a result, the tab 27 is held secured against displacement in this position. It cannot fall out even when the stirrup 7 is released safely as described below, since it is held clamped in the longitudinal slots 30a and 30b during the elastic bending of the tab 27 .
  • the distance a from the lower edge of the holding jaws 31a and 31b to the upper edge of the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 is now chosen so large that there is an elastic bending without permanent plastic deformation of the lower tab part 36 when the connecting part 11 is released from the stirrup 7 in a manner of safety described below.
  • the distance a is selected together with the elasticity of the lower tab area 36 so that the slipping of the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 described below takes place under the lower bent-out tab area 36 according to a predetermined pivoting force threshold.
  • the connecting part 11 is fastened to the stirrup strap 5 by pulling it through the strap eyelet 29 of the upper part 22 . It is important to ensure that the leg 17a or the bottom of the recess 25 comes to lie adjacent to the horse's body and that the tab 27 is on the side facing away from the horse's body.
  • the tab 27 is pushed manually by engaging the thumb on the slide handle 33 over the calotte of the ball 35 , pressing it backwards, approximately until it stops at the bend of the stirrup strap 5 pulled through the eyelet 29 .
  • the recess 25 is now open.
  • the insert part 12 is inserted with its leg 17b through the stirrup eyelet 13 of the stirrup 7 over the back 19a of the lower stirrup eyelet web 21 .
  • the upper part of the connecting part 11 is now inclined backwards until the bottom of the recess 25 stops at the front 19b of the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 and the tab 27 is pushed down until its lower edge 37 on the connecting arch 23 of the insert part 12, as in FIG. 2 and 3 , stands up.
  • the second stirrup is attached in the same way.
  • FIGS. 5 to 7 An embodiment variant of the connecting part 11 of the safety device shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 is shown in FIGS. 5 to 7 .
  • the connecting part 40 shown here is made of a plastic by injection molding. Analogous to the connecting part 11 described above, it has an insert part 41 shaped analogously to the insert part 12 , a belt eye 43 analogous to the strap eyelet 29 , and retaining jaws 44a and 44b designed analogously to the holding jaws 31 and 31b for a slider 45 which can be displaced analogously to the tab 27 .
  • the slider 45 is resilient in the same way as the tab 27 .
  • the height of a guide slot 46 in each holding jaw 44a and 44b increases towards the end adjacent to the insert part 41 in order to allow the slide 45 to bend open sufficiently in the event of the rider falling.
  • the connecting part 40 in contrast to the connecting part 11 , the connecting part 40, as a resilient element for holding the slide 45 in the closed position, does not have a resilient ball 35 , but rather a resilient tab 49 arranged in the upper part 47 of the connecting part 40.
  • the tab base 51 of the tab 49 lies adjacent to the insert part 41 and the strap head 53 adjacent to the strap eyelet 43.
  • the strap longitudinal edges 54a and 54b run approximately parallel to the holding jaws 44a and 44b.
  • the upper side of the strap head 53 has an inlet slope 55 which slopes towards the belt eyelet 43 . This inlet slope 55 facilitates insertion of the slider 45.
  • the inlet slope 55 slopes down towards the tongue 57 .
  • the step 56 of the tab head 53 serves as a stop for the slide 45 and holds it in its closed position.
  • the slider 45 can only be pushed upwards to release the stirrup 7 or the stirrup eyelet 13 when the tab head 53 has been pressed completely into the rear wall 59 of the upper part 47 , for example with the thumb.
  • the rear side 61 of the connecting part 40 has reinforcing webs 63a and 63b and 64a and 64b running in the longitudinal direction. The presence of these reinforcing webs serves to save material, in particular with regard to the injection molding process used and improved sprayability.
  • the insert part 41 also has reinforcing webs 65a and 65b on the rear side 61 .
  • a retroreflector 67 is arranged on the reinforcing webs 54a and 54b .
  • the reflector 67 is inserted into the rear wall 59 flush with the surface. It is held on its upper and lower end faces 67a and 67b by two pins 71a to 71d .
  • the reflector 67 is installed, it is inserted into the rear 61 and the pins 71a to 71d are then squeezed over the top of the reflector 67 with thermal deformation.
  • retroreflector 67 instead of the retroreflector 67 , only one retroreflective sheeting can also be glued to the back of the tongue. The back of the tongue and thus also the retroreflective sheeting is protected against mechanical abrasion by the reinforcing webs 64a and 64b . Active reflectors with battery-powered LEDs can also be used.
  • the slider 45 is formed symmetrically and has a bulge 73 at both its lower and at its upper corners. These bulges 73 are designed such that they permit engagement with a fingernail. As a result, the slide 45 can be pushed slightly upward when the tab head 53 is pressed down. A slide handle 33 as with the tab 27 can thus be dispensed with.
  • the continuously tapering transition in the region of the recess 25 to the insert part 12 or 41 can be dispensed with. These are just a match between the longitudinal outer dimension of the inserted into the stirrup eyelet 13 the insert 12 and the inner length of the strap mount 29.
  • the transition can also be done with a single step. Different width dimensions could also be dispensed with. In this case, however, the width of the tab is narrower, which could be a hindrance when it is moved manually.
  • the connecting arch 23 between the legs 17a and 17b can now, as described above and shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 , be designed as a semicircular arch, as a result of which the two legs 17a and 17b appear to have approximately the same cross-section.
  • the leg 17b is shorter than the leg 17a.
  • the arch culmination location in the cross section of the connecting arch 23 is shifted towards the front leg.
  • the tab 27 or the slider 45 can be held laterally pivotable about an axis of rotation (not shown) arranged in the upper part of the connecting part 11 below the belt eyelet 29 .
  • the tab would then be pivoted away laterally and, after the stirrup 7 had been inserted, would be pivoted again over the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 .
  • the ball 35 as a locking unit does not have to be arranged at the location described above. It can also be used anywhere between the two holding jaws 31a and 31b . Locations on the upper stirrup eyelet are also possible with the same function. However, this arrangement can be described as a poorer embodiment, since it is now no longer possible to use commercially available stirrups; this would also weaken the web. Clamping levers or other elements can also be used as the latching unit.
  • these can also be designed as claw-like projections.
  • two tine-like projections could be arranged on the back and only a single one on the front.
  • the tab 27 or the slider 45 can be made stable and the area of the recess 25 can be made elastically deflectable analogously. It is sufficient if only an area with the above-mentioned distance a is resilient. Training with only one resilient area is preferred for the upper part. However, the tab will always be designed to be resilient overall in order to reduce the production costs.
  • a connecting part (not shown) with a swivel joint can also be used for pivoting the flap like a wing.
  • the insert In the pivoted-open state, the insert can then be inserted into the stirrup eye 13 .
  • the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 In the swiveled-in state, the upper stirrup eyelet web 26 then lies again in the recess. The pivoting around the swivel joint can now be blocked with a releasable locking unit up to the predetermined pivoting force of the stirrup.
  • a spring-loaded ball can now be used as the locking unit which is held in the top and in a Indentation of the tab engages.
  • the spring force can be with a tensioning mechanism having a hand lever from one Change the force value to another force value. So would hanging in the stirrup eyelet with approximately the pre-tensioning force done zero. After hanging it would be the Spring pressed in and the pressed position over a Lever catch are held. It could also be a third spring force value be provided in which different impressions be provided. That third value would then be intended for mounting and could be used immediately afterwards again by increasing the spring preload accordingly be reduced.
