Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for water removal from a rotating felt belt of a paper machine.
- the water is either sucked out of the felt by applying a vacuum on one side and, with the air sucked in from the other side of the felt, the water in the felt is partially flushed into a suction slot or into a suction roller.
- the water can be passed through in a press zone Squeeze the compression of the felt.
- a so-called. Washing press is very expensive, consumes energy and shortens the lifespan of the felt. For these reasons you can find in today's paper machines hardly any washing presses anymore.
- press rolls supporting the felt can then be designed as suction rolls with a perforated tubular jacket sucked from the inside, or as grooved rolls with circumferential grooves 2.5 to 5 mm deep and 0.5 to 1 mm wide in the cylindrical roll surface.
- the roller supporting the felt is a shoe press roller, suctioning from the inside is ruled out because the circumferential elastic press jacket of the shoe press must be impermeable due to the formation of a lubricating film between the jacket and the pressure shoe.
- the elastic press jacket can not be made arbitrarily thick because of its material properties, so that only relatively shallow grooves with a maximum depth of 1.5 mm can be used for water storage in the press zone, or blind holes with a maximum depth of 2 mm.
- felts with higher air permeability consist of coarse fibers which mark the surface of the paper web in a quality-reducing manner and at the end of the press zone lead to excessive back-migration of water from the felt back into the paper, reducing the paper dry content. If, on the other hand, the felt is made as fine-pored as would be necessary for an optimally uniform paper surface and avoidance of rewetting, then the air purge fails.
- felt dewatering takes place by that a flushing stream is directed to the inside of the felt belt, the water from the inner surface or from depressions in the inner surface of the felt belt or from its carrier layer and collecting containers inside the felt loop.
- the carrier layer can be a multilayer Plastic fabric.
- the purge stream is flowing gas, usually air. It is important for a good effect to guide the flushing agent flow in such a way that as much water as possible is carried away from the backing layer of the felt belt. This is advantageously enforced by the fact that the rinsing device is designed such that the entire flow of rinsing agent is directed through the carrier layer of the felt.
- one or more rinsing nozzles are placed on the underside of the felt in such a way that the felt slides over the webs delimiting the nozzle openings. For example, if there is negative pressure in the flushing nozzle, air is drawn into the flushing nozzle from the atmosphere in the web area through the air-permeable carrier layer. This air entrains water embedded in the openings, cavities and openings in the carrier layer and makes the cavities water-absorbent again for the next press passage.
- the web widths will therefore usually change in the range of less than 10 mm typically move 5 mm or less.
- the felt can be dewatered efficiently up to the highest machine speeds with very small differential pressures. Dewatering is most effective at an angle of inclination of approximately 0 to 5 °, preferably 0.5 to 2 °, between the felt running direction and the slit direction.
- Narrow longitudinal slots are easier to get dirty than a wider one Cross slot. Therefore, a lifting or swiveling device is advantageous with the help of which the sliding surface of the flushing device is brought into a position in which cleaning is possible without interference from the felt.
- the Suction slots even arranged cleaning nozzles, with the help of which the slots can be flushed continuously or discontinuously with water.
- the cleaning for the whole suction box by means Cleaning nozzles for all suction slots take place continuously, but the Cleaning nozzles in the individual suction slots in order only be intermittently supplied with water. This can be done sequentially with Cleaning water zones happen, or over a oscillating slide that releases cleaning nozzle inlets one after the other and then closes again.
- An oscillating inner spray tube with fan nozzles can be very beneficial for moistening and cooling the sliding surface of the nozzle block and for Cleaning the openings and voids in the carrier layer.
- Spray tubes with needle nozzles are also particularly suitable for this purpose.
- the fleece layer is pressed together in the press point and, because of the visco-elastic behavior of the fleece fibers, does not jump back to the original thickness immediately after pressing, but gradually creeps back to the original thickness during the return to the press nip inlet. During this slow expansion, the fleece absorbs some of the water from the backing. According to claim 20, it is therefore advantageous to place the felt rinser as close as possible behind the press point, preferably not further away than a quarter of the total felt length, in order to remove as much water as possible from the backing layer before it migrates back into the fleece.
- Fig. 1 is a section of a running felt belt.
- the direction of felt can be from left to right or opposite.
- the felt consists of a carrier layer 3 containing larger cavities and a non-woven layer 2 made of fine fibers attached thereon.
- a nozzle block 5 is fastened on a tubular suction line 4 by means of screws 6 and clips 7.
- the nozzle block 5 is made sufficiently wide that outside of the supply air ducts 12 there are still sufficiently wide support surfaces 15 for the felt.
- the components are designated with the same reference numbers as in FIG. 1.
- Felt 1 has been omitted for clarity of illustration. The suction takes place in the direction of arrow 16 towards the end of the tube 4, not shown, into a suction line starting there.
- FIG. 3 again shows a small section of a horizontally running felt 1 with carrier layer 2 and fleece layer 3, which runs over a nozzle block 25 from left to right or vice versa.
- the nozzle block 25 is pushed onto a T-guide bar 26, which is part of a suction box or blow box 24.
- the inside of the box 33 is connected to the nozzle slot 30 via openings 27 and grooves 28 in the T-guide 26 and blind bores 29. This is sealed on the right only by an edge 31 against the felt, whereby the edge 31 can touch the felt 1 or has a small distance from it.
- the felt 1 can be supported on a surface 32 of the nozzle body 25.
- the nozzle body 25 extends across the entire width of the felt web 1 transversely to the longitudinal axis of the paper machine.
- the flow of the purge air takes place as shown, i.e. H. for example, flows by vacuum air from the room to the right of the edge 31 over the edge away through the carrier layer 2 into the slot 30 and over Bores 27 and 29, and channel 28 into the interior 33 of the suction box 24.
- a felt 111 runs in the direction of the arrow from guide rollers 115 to a felt washer 101 and over its support surface 109.
- An inner spray tube 100 serves to clean and / or moisten the inside of the felt and an outer spray tube 116 cleans or moistens the outside of the felt.
- a squeegee 118 attached to a cross member 117 removes surface contamination from the felt 111.
- the felt washer 101 consists of a machine-wide suction box 107, on which a nozzle block 105 with clips 106 is fastened to the suction box 107.
- the suction box 107 is connected via a vacuum line 119 to a vacuum generator (fan or pump), not shown.
- the sucked-in air passes from longitudinal slots 110 through the carrier layer 113 of the felt 111 into the suction slots 104 and through openings 108 and 103 into the suction box 107.
- FIGS. 5, 6 and 7 The felt rinser 101 is described in more detail in FIGS. 5, 6 and 7 using the same reference numbers.
- Figure 5 is only an enlarged view of the felt washer shown in Figure 4 in section.
- the bores 108 serving as a continuation of the openings 103 are blind bores, the depth of which is dimensioned such that they cut the suction slits 104 in the shape of a segment of a circle, but not the ventilation slits 110. This relationship can be seen even more clearly in FIG.
- Each blind bore 108 is connected to a plurality of suction slots 10 4.
- the felt 111 has a coarse air and water-permeable carrier layer 113, through which air is sucked into the suction slots 104 from the ventilation slots 110 via the webs 112, as indicated by arrows 114.
- the suction slots 104 and ventilation slots 110 extend exactly parallel to the felt run 120.
- the felt washer 101 is pivoted so that its longitudinal axis is no longer perpendicular to the direction of the felt, a new direction of felt 120 'results relative to the direction of the suction slots 104, which is inclined by an angle "X". With such an inclination, the water removal from the carrier layer 113 of the felt 111 becomes larger and more uniform over the width.
- FIG. 8 in that, in the case of a felt washer 101, the longitudinal axis of which is perpendicular to the felt running direction 120, the slots 104 and 110 are incorporated into the nozzle block 105, tilted by an angle “X”.
- FIG. 9 shows a simplified representation, with the machine frames omitted, an upper felt arrangement 201 and a lower felt arrangement 202 with an upper felt 204 passing through a press point 203 and a lower felt 205 running through the same press point.
- the press point is formed between an upper press roll 206, which, as indicated by press shoe 207, is a shoe press roll and a lower press roll 208, the surface of which may have grooves or blind bores.
- the felts are guided by guide rolls 209, tensioning rolls 210 and regulating rolls 211.
- the upper felt contains a suction take-off roller 212 which takes a paper web from a belt 213 onto the upper felt 204 and guides it into the press point 203.
- the paper web leaves the press point 203 with the bottom felt 205 and is transferred to a further belt 215 with a suction roller 214.
- a felt washer 216 Within the loop of the felt 204 there is a felt washer 216, which rests against the felt 204 in the operating position and can be pivoted into the position 216 'for cleaning.
- a felt rinser 217 which bears against the felt 205 and can be moved to the position 217 'for cleaning.
- the distances 118 and 119 of the felt rinsers 116 and 117 from the press zone 203 each amount to less than 25% of the total length of the felt.
- FIG. 10 shows, as in FIG. 5, a felt rinser 101 which consists of a Nozzle block 105 and a suction box 107, which by clamps 106th are connected.
- the clamp 106 is on by means of screws 121 and 122
- Suction box 107 fastens and closes between the suction box and the nozzle block a water chamber 123, the cleaning water via lines 124 can be supplied.
- the water chamber 123 is turned into nozzles 125 Water is injected into the circular segment-shaped suction slots 104 around which to wash away any dirt that accumulates there over time.
- the water chamber 123 can be divided into several adjacent rinsing zones 123 'are divided up for rinsing can be fed in succession with cleaning water via connections 124 '. If e.g. B. 10 rinse zones are provided, of which only one at a time is fed with cleaning water, the necessary water flow decreases to 1/10 compared to an undivided water chamber 123.
- FIG. 12 shows another variant of FIGS. 5 and 10 Suction box 107 on the one with clips 106 and screws 121 and 122 Nozzle block 105 is attached.
- At least one bracket 106 (on the left Side shown) includes together with nozzle block 105 and suction box 107

Abstract
