Definitions
- the invention relates to a rotary lobe pump according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a pump is known from EP-A-0 450 690.
- Rotary lobe pumps of this type which in the two-bladed design are also used as Roots blowers or Roots-l'umpen are available in different designs for a variety of Media in use.
- the invention is mainly aimed at applications in agricultural technology area in neighboring areas, can of course also in other areas such as the food industry.
- the object of the invention is to provide a rotary lobe pump in which the disadvantages mentioned no longer occur in the case of the transmission unit in terms of sealing technology is largely decoupled from the pump housing, making these units light can be separated from each other.
- a generic rotary lobe pump which is characterized by is characterized in that two hollow shafts are rotatably mounted in the gear housing, in which the End portions of the shafts are held.
- the gear housing is preferably detachable with a flange-like connection Pump housing held.
- the shafts are expediently each with a sealing unit opposite Sealed pump housing, the sealing units being substantially cylindrical Have outer surfaces so that they in one or the other axial direction in the Pump housing can be installed or removed.
- the sealing units are preferably designed as exchangeable sealing cassettes.
- the sealing units may be one with a lubricant have filled barrier chamber.
- the barrier chamber can be used with an overpressure responsive sensor to detect leaks.
- the hollow shafts preferably extend in the axial direction up to Sealing units on the pump housing, so that the supporting effect of the hollow shafts in the As a rule, they are more rigid than the shafts themselves and are optimally used.
- the hollow shafts can each have two radial bearings and an additional one if used as a drive helical gear pair is selected, with an axial bearing in the gear housing be stored.
- the end sections of the shafts with feather keys are preferably non-rotatable and axially displaceable held in the hollow shafts. This results in an extremely simple assembly of the Units.
- the hollow shafts are expediently provided with two sealing units each Sealed gear housing, it is advantageous if the space between the Sealing unit in the pump housing and the adjacent sealing unit in the Gearbox is in connection with the environment, so that any escaping Lubricant and pump medium can flow away as freely as possible (without pressure).
- the rotary pistons preferably have a plurality arranged one next to the other in the axial direction Piston segments.
- hollow shaft, sealing elements and Rotary pistons are axially clamped together.
- the end portion of the shafts on the rotary piston side can be used to receive a radial bearing Supporting the shaft end against the pump housing can be designed so If necessary, a radial bearing can be retrofitted without much effort.
- the rotary lobe pump according to the invention in one shows side view, which is partially executed as a sectional view, the Cutting plane contains the longitudinal axes of the two shafts of the pump, as from the following description is still clear.
- the rotary lobe pump consists of the actual pump housing 1 and the one on it a flange connection 2 flanged gear housing 3. That essentially cylindrical pump housing 1 is made in one piece in the present embodiment and closed at the end with an end wall 1a and a lid 1b, while the Gear housing 3 is composed of two half-shell-like halves, the Division level with the sectional plane of the representation of FIG. 1 corresponds and with Screws 4 are held together.
- the purpose of the gear housing is to support the two shafts 5, 6 of the rotary lobe pump and the driving force introduced via the pin 7 from the shaft 6 in part onto the shaft 5 to transmit, the shafts with a pair of gears, one of which is designated 8 is coupled to one another and can be driven in opposite directions.
- bearings, sealing elements, etc. are only for shaft 5 in shown individually, of course corresponding elements for the shaft 6th available.
- the shafts are not directly in corresponding bearings in the Gearbox housing mounted, but it is a hollow shaft 9 for receiving a shaft provided, which in turn is rotatably supported with roller bearings 10 in the gear housing.
- Axial bearings 11 absorb forces that are initiated by helical gears 8.
- Sealing units in the form of are between the hollow shaft and the gear housing Shaft seals 12 and 13 provided on replaceable liners 14 and 15 to run.
- the gears 8 are held in rotation on the hollow shafts 9 with parallel keys. With locking rings 16 and 17 a defined axial position of the arrangement guaranteed.
- Fig. 1 further shows, the shafts 5 and 6 with parallel keys 18 and corresponding ones in the Hollow shafts 9 formed longitudinal grooves rotatably and axially displaceable in the hollow shafts 9 held.
- the shafts 5 and 6 carry on their part opposite the gear housing one or more rotary piston segments 19, each with a parallel key connection 20 are rotatably and axially displaceable on the shafts.
- the pump segments point in this embodiment, a cast core 19a and a rubber jacket 19b, where the segments in certain areas of application, for example in the Food industry, can also be made entirely of stainless steel.
- interchangeable Wear discs 31 are located on the end of the pump housing between the rotary pistons and End wall 1a or cover 1b.
- the shafts 5 and 6 are in the area of the end wall 1a of the pump housing sealed with a sealing unit, the structure of which is more clearly shown in detail in FIG. 2 emerges and which is also referred to below as a sealing cartridge 26.
- the sealing of the rotating shafts against the overpressure inside the pump housing takes place via a sealing surface between a cross-section firmly clamped on the shaft L-shaped sealing ring 22 and an elastically pressed over an O-ring 23 Wear ring 21.
- the O-ring 23 in turn is not supported directly on Pump housing 1, but is located within another, housing-like ring 25th
- a shaft sealing ring 27 Adjacent to this seal arrangement is additional within the seal cassette 26 a shaft sealing ring 27 is provided, which in turn runs on a wear ring 24. Between the seal formed by parts 21 and 22 and the shaft sealing ring 27 there is an intermediate space 28, which is referred to as a blocking chamber, and which has a suitable one Lubricant is filled and to detect leaks in the seal 21und 22 serves.
- the blocking chamber 28 is connected to a pressure sensor via radial bores 37 connected. If there is a leak in the area of parts 21 and 22, the pressure in the Barrier chamber, which is registered by the sensor and triggers a corresponding signal.
- the sealing cassette 26 has a cylindrical shape on the outside and is held on the transmission side with a fastening ring 29 and screws 30 on the end face of the pump housing. On the pump side, the sealing cassette bears against the wear plate 31. Due to the cylindrical shape of the sealing cassette, depending on the type of maintenance work to be carried out, it can be pulled out either after removing the fastening ring 29 towards the gear housing or after removing the wear washer 31 towards the pump housing.
- the Seal cartridge can of course also be held with a press fit in the end wall, so that z. B. when removing the cassette from the pump side, the wear plate 31, the then must be provided with a corresponding axial recess, in place could remain.
- a space 32 which is in communication with the environment and the purpose of which is to prevent, on the one hand, possibly from the Lubricant escaping from the gearbox housing into the pump housing or on the other hand any pump fluid emerging from the pump housing is pressed into the gear housing can be.
- Another advantage of the hollow shafts according to the invention is that of overhung bearings Waves, as is the case in the illustrated embodiment, in that a additional support against unwanted deflection of the cantilever Shaft sections due to the length of the radial bearing 10 Hollow shafts is reached. Without the arrangement of a hollow shaft, the self-supporting Length of the waves begin immediately after the radial bearing 10, which is larger Deflection would result.
