- the body and the jaw of the movable jaw are articulated on an axis parallel to the jaw, and on the other hand the rack is in the form of an arc of a circle coaxial with said pivot axis.
- the finger is housed in a chamber radial to the pivot axis of the movable jaw, it is pushed back towards the rack by the spring, and it is linked to the cam so that the rotation of the latter, in the opposite direction to that used to move the movable jaw away from the body, causes said spring to be compressed.
- the cam consists of a half-round non-coaxial with its pivot axis, part of which fits into a notch formed in the central region of the finger, the curved wall coming to the contact of the movable jaw, while the flat wall is capable of coming to bear against the upper edge of said notch.
