Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for pickling metal strips in one trough-shaped containers, one above the belt in the pickling medium, immersed plate is arranged and the free surface of the pickling medium extends over the entire surface of the container.
- the mean bath depth can, however, be with a free surface of the treatment bath only to a lower one, determined by the maximum belt speed Limit to be lowered. Due to the drag effect of the moving Band is the treatment medium in the treatment bath in the direction of Band movement carried away. An inclined liquid level is created with correspondingly excessive bath depth at the exit of the strip from the treatment bath and correspondingly lowered bath depth at the entrance of the band in the treatment bath. At higher speeds (e.g. at 200 mm average bath depth and 20 m bath length above approx. 200 m / min belt speed) an empty pump occurs in the area of the entry of the belt into the Treatment bath so that the immersion length of the tape in the treatment medium shortened accordingly and thus the length of the treatment bath is no longer fully used. The middle bathroom mirror must therefore be avoided pumping can be raised. The performance limit of a Treatment bath with a free surface is therefore by the optimum between shortening of the pickling bath due to drag effect and reduced pickling effect given by greater mean bath depth.
- a known measure for achieving a low average bath depth high speeds is the formation of a closed treatment channel.
- the bath depth is therefore at the level of the treatment channel fixed.
- the Leaving the band from the treatment channel using methods such as in EP 0 655 519 A1 against the dynamic pressure of the drag effect be hydrodynamically sealed.
- the hydrodynamic seal requires a considerable amount of energy compared to treatment baths must also be applied with a free surface.
- the required supply of fresh treatment medium at the strip outlet is difficult and associated with high energy consumption.
- DE 41 08 516 describes e.g. a high speed pickling process and a corresponding device.
- a channel is provided, i.e. the band is enclosed on all sides.
- FR 2 721 also describes 235 a pickling plant, in which the strip is deflected by deflecting the strip several layers are passed through the pickling bath, one at a time a plate is arranged above a band length and these plates with the Sidewalls form channels through which the tape is guided.
- the pickling acid is injected into the channels at both ends of the separating plates.
- the purpose of the present invention is to limit the performance of a treatment bath improve with free surface, so the disadvantages of a closed treatment channel can be avoided.
- the invention is characterized in that the plate only above the Ribbon arranged and aligned approximately parallel to the ribbon, from a Side wall of the container to the other side wall of the container and the pickling bath in a treatment area below the plate, which is completed by the bottom of the container is, and a reflux area for the pickling medium, above the Plate, with free surface of the pickling medium, divides.
- This causes in Treatment tank an improved backflow of the accumulated pickling medium from the area of the tape outlet to the tape inlet, so that the The accumulation level in the area of the belt outlet is reduced and therefore the average Bath depth can be reduced.
- Another advantage of the proposed facility is that with the plate according to the invention a treatment channel shallow bath depth is formed, while the free surface of the Treatment medium is retained and the drag effect of the tape for targeted circulation and mixing of the pickling medium in the pickling tank is being used.
- An advantageous development of the invention is characterized in that the plate consists of several individual plates arranged one after the other. This is particularly advantageous for longer pickling tanks.
- a further development of the invention is characterized in that between the plates passage gaps are left through which the pickling medium from lower treatment area to the upper reflux area and vice versa can flow.
- the pickling medium is circulated in Parts of the pickling tank are reached, and on the other hand the pickling medium flows better when emptying the pickling tank.
- the plate contains openings through which the pickling medium between the lower treatment area and the upper reflux area can circulate.
- a particularly favorable effect is achieved when the plate is almost flat extends over the entire length of the pickling tank, and only at the beginning and End of the container passages between the plate and the container wall or are present in the plate through which the pickling medium from the bottom Flow the treatment area into the upper reflux area and vice versa can. So the pickling medium is completely from the area of the belt outlet headed to the area of the belt inlet.
- a particularly favorable effect is achieved if the plate has a cross-section V-shaped, which makes flat contact with flat bands can be avoided and the drainage of the pickling medium when emptying is improved.
- a particularly favorable effect is achieved if the plate on the Band facing side is provided with cross ribs, which on the one hand Decelerate the flow by dragging and increase it on the other Cause turbulence in the treatment room.
- the separation into a treatment area and a reflux area can be used advantageously for a targeted supply of fresh pickling medium which the pickling medium is fed to the sides of the container through inlets and introduced into the treatment room below the plate by the action of a nozzle or that the pickling medium below the belt through the bottom of the container is supplied.
- the injection is preferably carried out in the area of the belt inlet, so that the freshly supplied pickling medium first on Belt is passed along before it over the reflux area formed by the plate recirculated in the pickling tank.
- a particularly favorable design of the injection results if this in Angle is directed against the direction of movement of the belt. This is causing a reduction in the drag effect of the belt and therefore causes a further reduction of the accumulation height in the area of the belt outlet.
- An advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention results if the plate is attached to the lid of the pickling tank and when opening the Lid of this is lifted up with the plate preferably move upwards within certain limits can, in order to avoid collisions with the belt.

- Fig. 1 shows the exemplary scheme of a pickling section with the associated Pipelines, pumps, heat exchangers and the circulation tank. That too treating belt 1 is guided over squeeze rollers 2 into the pickling section, dips into the liquid bath 3 and becomes at the other end of the pickling section led out of the pickling section by the squeeze rollers 4.
- the Treatment liquid 5 is from the circulation container 6 via the Pipelines 7, the pump 8 and the heat exchanger 9 through the inlets 10 in the bottom and inlets 11 in the side wall into the liquid bath 3 fed and over the overflow stones 12a at the inlet and 12b at the outlet of the Pickling section derived in collecting vessels 13a, 13b and from there on Pipelines 14a, 14b returned to the circulation tank 6.
- the Inlets 10 in the floor are directed obliquely against the tape running direction 15 to counteract the flow due to the drag effect of the belt 1.
- the plate 16 according to the invention is in the liquid bath 3 in the Design variant of a continuous plate arranged. Arrows 17 reinterpret the flow caused by the drag effect of belt 1 the plate 16.
- Fig. 2 shows a section A-A through the pickling section shown in Fig. 1.
- the Liquid level is marked with 18.
- the inlets 11 in the Side wall are arranged so that the treatment liquid 5 in the room flows between the plate 16 and the tape 1.
- the plate 16 is with the Brackets 19 attached to the cover 20 and is on the side Support stones 21 on.
- Fig. 3 shows a plan view of the pickling section shown in Fig. 1, the Cover of the pickling section and the tape in the area of the liquid bath 3 are not are shown.
- the plate 22 is in this embodiment variant shown a perforated plate.
- the inlets 11 are in the side wall directed obliquely against the tape running direction 15 to the flow due to the To counteract the drag effect of the tape 1.
- FIG. 4 shows, like FIG. 3, the top view of the pickling section shown in FIG. 1, but with the variant of an interrupted plate 23.
- FIG. 5 shows, like FIG. 2, the section A-A through that shown in FIG. 1 Pickling section, but with the design variant of a V-shaped plate 24.
- Fig. 6 shows a section of the pickling section with the tape 1, the Squeeze rollers 4 and the plate 16.
- the plate 16 here has transverse ribs 25 where the flow is slowed down, which increases Turbulence and thus improved pickling results.
