Definitions
- the invention relates to a fuel injection system for Internal combustion engines according to the preamble of claim 1 out.
- a fuel injection system is due to the DE 43 18 078 A1 known.
- the High pressure accumulator has significant pressures that are well above 1,000 bar. Because such high pressure accumulators also Have connection points for pressure lines and Connection points for the fuel supply is the danger given a leak. Leakages point in the Usually very small cross sections, which then in the pending high fuel pressure in the high pressure accumulator fine-jet, barely visible leaks of fuel lead in the way of fuel injection jets like them occur with fuel injectors themselves. Such Fuel jets have significant kinetic energy on that can be destructive and especially People living in the area of such high pressure fuel storage handle, endanger.
- the invention has the advantage that the escaping fuel is caught by the envelope and then can be derived so that the aforementioned Damage does not occur.
- Wrapping from a net-like envelope according to Claim 3 the highest level of flexibility and Fatigue strength permits and yet the leakage of avoids harmful fuel jets.
- a collecting device for the escaping fuel provided, which is advantageous according to claim 6 by a Liquid level measuring device can be monitored.
- the high-pressure container is particularly simple within one already at the internal combustion engine provided cylinder head cover with which the Gas exchange valve train is closed to the outside, on the one hand to avoid damage and on the other hand to Collection of lubricating oil via an oil return Oil collecting tank of the internal combustion engine is returned. This also serves to absorb leaking Leak fuel from the high pressure accumulator.
- the lubricating oil of the internal combustion engine is not excessive Dilution obtained by the fuel and the fact of such beginning dilution is quickly displayed and / or too high due to possible control interventions Thinning is prevented automatically.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic illustration of a Fuel injection system according to the genus of Claim
- Figure 2 shows a first invention Design of a casing of the high pressure accumulator Fuel injection system
- Figure 3 shows a second Embodiment of a casing of the high pressure accumulator with a substantially closed sheet metal jacket
- Figure 4 shows a third embodiment of the invention one housed within a cylinder head cover High-pressure accumulator in a simplified schematic representation.
- a fuel injection system is shown schematically in FIG shown, which has a fuel tank 1, from which a high-pressure feed pump 3 is connected via a suction line 2 Sucks in fuel and via a pressure line 4 below High pressure in a high-pressure fuel reservoir 6 promotes.
- the fuel pressure in this high-pressure fuel reservoir is monitored by a pressure sensor 7 and by him output value in a control device 9 with a Setpoint compared.
- a pressure point device 10 driven e.g. the kind that about a adjustable valve which in a relief line 11 of the High-pressure fuel reservoir 6 is arranged above surplus fuel is returned to the tank becomes.
- Fuel injection valves 12 are intended by the high-pressure fuel storage a plurality of fuel injection valves 12 via pressure lines 14 fueled.
- the injection timing and the Injection duration of fuel over this Fuel injection valves are controlled electrically, e.g. B. by solenoid valves from the control unit 9th according to the requirements, for example from speed and load, can be controlled.
- FIG. 2 is again shown schematically, the high pressure accumulator 6 provided.
- a shell made of a fine-mesh Steel network 15 exists.
- this wrapping can also in a net-like structure created in another way exist, e.g. B. slotted metal sheet, as in Expanded metal is possible.
- the mesh-like sheath 15 preferably consists of mechanically resistant material, in particular Metal, the high-pressure fuel accumulator on all sides enclosing.
- the covering can also be made of plastic or glass / carbon fiber material are made with high stability against leaking fuel.
- enclosing can also be limited to the areas be in which between the high pressure fuel accumulator and other parts of the fuel injection system connections, in particular of a soluble type.
- this wrapper ensures that fuel leaking at leaks, which due to the high pressure at this point has a fine jet emerges with high kinetic energy, similar to one Injection jet of an injector, thus prevents that no such fuel jets can cause damage.
- the beam is caught by the coating or broken and can in particular handling people in Area of the high-pressure accumulator no longer become dangerous.
- a fluid level which in turn can be detected by a liquid level measuring device 17 can and a control device 18 is supplied by a signal device 19 or a control signal for Influencing the fuel injection system to the Control device 9 is delivered.
- a signal can then affect the fuel injection system that it may be stopped by the High pressure feed pump 3 is turned off or by the Pressure in the high-pressure accumulator 6 via the pressure control device 10 is reduced to a low value, which if necessary no matter how high it is to some emergency operation maintain. Or else it will be the pressure of the High-pressure accumulator completely lowered and the activity of Injectors set to zero.
- the high-pressure feed pump 3 can also be switched off by the fact that between this and its drive 26th an electrically switchable clutch 27 is provided e.g. can be switched by the control device 18.
- This Coupling can not only occur when an above occurs described leakage but also in others Malfunctions of the fuel injection system, e.g. at faulty operation of the internal combustion engine switched be, or even in selected operating conditions that require a lowering of the pressure in the high-pressure accumulator be switched.
- the shutdown of the high pressure feed pump can be checked using a test cycle.
