Definitions
- the invention relates to a rotary screen printing machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a rotary screen printing machine is generally known and has a rotary stencil, a squeegee located inside the rotary stencil and a printing unit base located below the rotary stencil with a plurality of electromagnets arranged for attraction along the longitudinal axis of the rotary stencil the squeegee on.
- a disadvantage of the known rotary screen printing machine is that the electromagnets with a constant voltage, for. B. operated via transformer taps or via a control unit.
- the electromagnets usually heat up after a short period of operation, which leads to an increase in resistance and thus to a decrease in the current flowing through them. The result is a reduction in the magnetic force, which decreases by around 0.3% per ° C of the heating.
- the invention has for its object to develop the rotary screen printing machine of the type mentioned so that it ensures high quality of the print on the goods even after a long period of operation.
- a rotary screen printing machine is characterized in that a constant current source is provided in order to supply the electromagnets with a constant current.
- the electromagnets can either be connected in parallel to the constant current source or in series with the constant current source.
- the magnetic force is linearly dependent on the current flowing through the electromagnets and this is kept constant, the temperature dependence of the magnetic force can be practically completely eliminated, so that even after a long period of operation, the hydrodynamic pressure in the ink wedge between the doctor blade and the inner wall of the rotary template is kept at the value set at the beginning can be so that a uniform quality of the print on the goods is always achieved.
- first and foremost are excellent edge / center levelness, excellent coverage, streak-free. high penetration and micro-levelness, a very high reproducibility and vibrationlessness in the printing process.
- the printing speed can also be increased since there is no longer any risk of an aquaplaning effect even after a long period of operation.
- the electromagnets have rod-shaped magnetic cores. around which the solenoids are wound. These rod-shaped magnetic cores are each perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rotary template and in a plane that receives this longitudinal axis.
- the poles of the electromagnets are arranged in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the screen printing stencil according to the rule NSSNNSSN ... or the rule SNNSSNNS ..., the number of electromagnets being an even number. This ensures a high electromagnetic attraction of the doctor blade.
- the force of attraction of the doctor blade can be brought to a desired value by setting the size of the constant current of the constant current source, for which purpose a corresponding current setting device is provided.
- the magnetic force with which the roller squeegee is pulled against the inner wall of the rotary stencil makes it possible, in particular, to set the hydrodynamic pressure in the ink wedge between the roller squeegee and the inner wall of the rotary stencil.
- the rotary screen printing machine has u. a. a printing unit base 1.
- the printing unit base 1 includes a rigid cross member 2 with an upper rail 3 and a U-shaped longitudinal profile 4 that supports it.
- the rail 3 and the U-shaped longitudinal profile 4 form a cavity 5 that extends in one direction and accommodates a plurality of electromagnets 6 which are arranged one behind the other on a straight line in the longitudinal direction of the cavity 5.
- Each of the electromagnets 6 contains a rod-shaped magnetic core 7, on which a coil carrier 8 made of electrically insulating material is arranged. On the coil support 8 there is a coil winding 9 surrounding the magnetic core 7.
- the magnetic core 7 is fastened in a suitable manner to the underside of the rail 3 and, for this purpose, inserted into a through hole 10 in the rail 3 so that it extends vertically from the rail 3 protrudes below.
- a rotary stencil 11 which is designed as a screen printing stencil.
- the longitudinal axis of the rotary stencil 11 is parallel to the surface of the printing unit base 1 or the rail 3 and extends in the longitudinal direction thereof and in a plane which receives the magnetic cores 7 of the respective electromagnets 6.
- Inside the rotary stencil 11 there is an ink tube 12, a squeegee plate 13 attached to the ink tube 12, a roller squeegee 14 and an ink level sensor 15. Ink is guided through the ink tube 12 into the interior of the rotary stencil 11 and forms a color wedge 16 between the roller squeegee 14 and inner wall of the rotary stencil 11. With the color level sensor 15 it can be determined whether there is still sufficient color inside the rotary stencil 11.
- the rotary template 11 rotates in the direction of arrow 17 in FIG. 1, that is to say clockwise.
- a printing blanket 18 which consists of elastic material and is transported lying on the rail 3 in the direction of arrow 19.
- a product 20 to be printed which preferably adheres to the printing blanket 18.
- the doctor blade 14 extends over the entire length of the rotary template 11 and is secured at the end against axial displacements.
- the doctor blade 13 extends over the entire length of the doctor blade 14 and supports it in its entire area. The arrangement is so made. that the doctor blade 14, which can rotate freely within the rotating template 11, comes to rest in the middle of the magnetic cores 7 of the respective electromagnets 6.
- a constant current source 21 is connected to the respective electromagnets 6 via lines 22, 23.
- a constant current source 21 is connected to the respective electromagnets 6 via lines 22, 23.
- the other electromagnets can be connected in parallel to this. It is also possible to connect all of the electromagnets 6 in series with the constant current source 21.
- the size of the constant current of the constant current source 21 and thus the magnetic force of the electromagnets 6 acting on the doctor blade 14 can be set by an adjusting device 24.
- the doctor blade 14 is preferably made of rustproof, ferromagnetic material and has a round profile.
- the doctor blade 14 can be designed as a smooth doctor blade, kneaded doctor blade or as a hollow doctor blade. The latter is particularly the case from larger diameters in order to save weight.
- the corded doctor blade has a roughened surface so that more ink can be transported.
- the electromagnet 6 is a homogeneous and along a straight line running magnetic field generated, which attracts the doctor blade 14 evenly over the entire printing width (width of the printing blanket 18).
- the magnetic field can be adjusted for different printing tasks with the aid of the setting device 24.
- the doctor blade 14 is attracted uniformly by the magnetic field generated by the electromagnet 6, with the result that the rotary template 11 allows the doctor blade 14 to rotate at the same surface speed without vibration.
- the color forms the color wedge 16 between the inner wall of the rotary stencil 11 and the doctor blade 14.
- a hydrodynamic pressure is created in this color wedge 16. This pressure produces a constant color flow through the rotary stencil 11 into the goods 20 underneath.
- the rotary stencil 11 is pressed against the goods 20 by the magnetically attracted roller doctor blade 14.
- the diameter and the surface of the doctor blade 14 are an important parameter for the correct metering of the amount of ink.
- a larger diameter of the doctor blade 14 a larger ink application is generally achieved than with a smaller diameter, since in the first-mentioned case a greater hydrodynamic pressure can be built up between the doctor blade 14 and the inner wall of the rotary stencil 11.
- FIGS 2 and 3 show the more precise structure of the printing base 1.
- the same parts as in Figure 1 are provided with the same reference numerals and will not be described again.
- the cross member 2 of the printing unit base 1 is held in a stand 25. It is mounted on the stand 25 by means of screws 26. This can best be seen in FIG. 3.
- FIG. 2 shows the different choice of pole sequence of the respective electromagnets 6.
- the pole sequence across the width of the printing base is selected as N, S, S, N, N, S, S, N, etc. This ensures a given current maximum attraction of the doctor blade 14.

Abstract
Description
- Figur 1 eine Seitenansicht der Rotationssiebdruckmaschine;
