Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for producing a container, with a cover strip over an emptying opening is attached and a container shell and one with this contains connected end wall, in which the discharge opening is arranged, the cover strip on the outer surface the end wall and on the outer surface of the container shell is attached so that it the drinking area of the container covers sealingly and can be removed from it.
  • a container of this type is known from US-A-3 690 509, where a beverage can, as is usually the case serving beer or other beverages, with a cover is provided from a plastic or the like, both the emptying opening provided in an end wall of the can as well as the adjacent drinking area, which also extends into the area of the can jacket.
  • this cover is made hygienic Reasons in the bottling plant when the can germ-free due to a sterilization process is.
  • This cover comes with non-toxic Adhesives attached to the can end and to the coat.
  • the cover also serves to cover the emptying opening. It can be torn off, so that on the one hand the discharge opening is released and on the other hand the below the Covered drinking area becomes free.
  • Containers of this type can only be filled with the Cover.
  • the cover must therefore be separately be sterilized before it can be attached.
  • This method of making a container is on the end face provided with the filling and emptying opening the container is arranged a flap, which after the Filling passed through the filling and emptying opening and sealed becomes.
  • This flap provided only on the front side can be in the open position at the same time as the Sterilization of the inside of the container can be sterilized with if it is, what is provided there, before the sterilization process and thus also before the filling process on the front is pinned. That flowing back from the inside of the container Sterilizer also at least sweeps over later the area of the closure flap facing the interior of the container.
  • the present invention is therefore based on the object to propose a method that enables simple sterilization, Filling and closing a container possible is without separate sterilization for the whole Covering strip covering the drinking area becomes necessary.
  • this object is achieved in a method of type mentioned solved in that the cover strip before filling the container with a first section firmly attached to the front wall or to the container jacket and with a second section above the first Section is folded up so that the filling and emptying opening is not covered that then immediately before Filling the container inside and the drinking area of the Container together with the second section of the cover strip sterilized and the filling through the emptying opening and the second section immediately afterwards of the cover strip unfolded and on the Container is sealed.
  • a cover strip can now also be that not only covers the filling and emptying opening, but also also protrudes into the area of the side wall, in a very simple way Sterilized together with the inside of the container and after the filling process for sterile covering of the drinking area and used to close the filling opening.
  • the sealing attachment of the cover strip by heat sealing he follows. It will be particularly advantageous when carrying out the invention also possible the first section of the cover strip first on a segment the end wall is to be attached and then with the second section to be sealed to the container jacket.
  • the cover strip can be made in one piece with the End wall or the segment from which the end wall is formed will be made. But it is also possible to use the cover strip with its first section on the container jacket or on the segment from which the container jacket is formed will attach. In a further development, the cover strip can also be used here in one piece with the container jacket or the segment, from which the container jacket is formed his.
  • This configuration makes it possible, for example the Machine for producing containers to feed segments, which are already provided with a cover strip, the Cover strips either attached to these segments or is already formed in one piece with them from the outset.
  • the container 1 shown in Figures 1 to 4 consists of a formed as a cylindrical sleeve container shell 3 and two End walls covering the end openings of the container shell 3 close and one of which as the bottom and the other is designed as a lid of the container 1.
  • Figures 1 to 4 only the end wall 2 forming the cover is shown.
  • container 1 shown here with a as cylindrical sleeve trained container shell 3 and two A differently designed container could also have end walls a container jacket and at least one end wall used be, depending on the shape of the container shell or In principle, the bulkhead does not arrive.
  • the two end walls and the container jacket 3 of the container 1 are made of composite material that consists of a backing layer Contains cardboard and a plastic layer that is included in the finished Container 1 is on the inside.
  • the end walls are the same like the container jacket 3 on the outside with an additional Provide plastic layer.
