Definitions
- the invention relates to a snowboard boot.
- Snowboard boots There are basically two types of today Snowboard boots, namely the hard-shell boots, the similar to the usual ski boots a relatively hard, inflexible plastic shell and a padded liner have and the so-called soft boots that are very soft and are flexible because their outer sheath is made of textile or softer leather.
- the hard shell boots offer a good hold of the foot in all directions mostly driven with a so-called plate binding, the the sole protrusions in the toe and heel area of the boot reach over with a bracket.
- the advantage of a good hold but this boot comes with the disadvantage of low flexibility and unfortunately often also bought poor comfort.
- the boots have a hard shell also a relatively high weight, which is also comfort diminishes.
- the "soft boots” are usually also driven with so-called shell bindings, at which the binding itself is a relatively hard one, the boot has a receiving shell, especially in the back facing region of the shaft has a support and which the shoe with multiple straps that the front area of the shoe and the rest, hold it in the binding.
- these ties are cumbersome in the Handling, restrict flexibility and have one relatively high weight.
- a snowboard boot is known from WO-A-94/21149, which has a foot and a shaft section, the each made of relatively rigid, inflexible shell elements consist of a soft, padded liner hold.
- the rigid shaft shell is over in the heel area a joint connected to the rigid foot shell.
- the two shell elements over one around the Back of the shaft and in the middle area near the sole of the boot fastened belt connected to each other supports the shaft to the rear.
- the FR-E-49.631 shows a made of leather Ski boots, which are essentially made of a rigid leather manufactured foot section and also made of rigid Leather-made, cuff-like shaft section consists. Both sections are about tapes and one flexible intermediate section interconnected. For additional stiffening of the foot section are straps provided with a strap the back of the foot section in the upper heel area and on both sides of the boot fixed to the sole in the front area of the boot heel is.
- EP-A-0 646 334 shows a snowboard boot that is made of an inner part and an outer part, between which a stiff insert is inserted.
- the deposit exists consisting of a foot section and a swivel joint in the upper one Heel area connected to the shaft part. Both parts the insert are additionally connected to each other by a strap connected, the ends of which are on either side of the toe area of the foot section are fixed and the back of the Grips part of the sheep.
- the object of the invention is therefore a snowboard boot to create that with high wearing and driving comfort and low Weight a good foot hold for the load the front or rear edge of the snowboard offers.
- the boot according to the invention combines the advantages of Hard shell boots and the soft "soft boot” without to show their respective disadvantages. It is therefore also suitable to be driven with a plate binding and It is also suitable for driving on hard or icy roads Slopes. In particular, it offers great comfort of the soft boot and still the good hold of the hard-shell boot.
- the snowboard boot 1 has a rubber sole 2, a shaft 3, a the toe area covering the forefoot and toes 4, a heel area 5, the heel of the foot includes and an instep area 6.
- the backward facing Back of the shaft 3 is designated by the reference numeral 7.
- this one Boots laced for which the usual in the front shaft area Eyelets 8 are provided on which the laces 9 (Fig. 2) is held.
- this boot is out soft, flexible material made wzb. made of textile fabric. It is softly padded on the inside and also has one softly padded tongue 10.
- a first belt 11 is provided near the sole 2 in the area of the forefoot on both sides is attached to the outside, which in the embodiment of FIG. 1 via a tab 12 connected to the sole and a pivotable attachment 13, for example a rivet can be done.
- the strap is around the back 7 of the Guided shaft, in the upper area and there on hangers 14 and 14 'in his Height fixed so that it is neither down towards Sole still up to the manhole opening can slip.
- the belt 11 is flexible in itself, but has very little flexibility or stretch in its longitudinal direction so that it supports the shaft 3 and backward forces such as those under load occur on the back edge of the snowboard, fields and introduces into the sole 2 in the forefoot area.
- the suspension device 14 and 14 ' here consists of two mutually facing hooks in which the belt 11 is hooked can be. There are several at the back of the boot such suspension devices 14, 14 'in different Height based on the boot sole 2 provided, namely a total of three such in the embodiment of FIG. 1 Hangers. This allows flexibility of the boot still vary.
- the belt 11 is adjustable in length, which is one Belt buckle 15 is provided which is part of the Belt 11 is firmly connected and through which another Part of the belt is threaded through, which is then in a Belt loop 16 ends.
- This belt loop 16 is formed that by train in the direction of arrow 17, i.e. obliquely after the belt 11 is shortened above.
- a second belt 20 is provided in the area of the heel part 5 is attached near the sole 2 and obliquely upwards on both sides over the instep area 6 runs.
- the driver loads the forefoot to put pressure on Exercise the front edge, so does the instep of the foot raised.
- This force is then from the belt 20 in the heel-side sole area and thus the binding transfer.
- the belt 20 is in a fastening area 21 attached just above the sole. He can be glued here riveted or otherwise secured, for example, in that it is through an opening is threaded through, as shown in Fig. 1.
- To the second belt 20 in the instep area is better to fix there a recess 22 is provided, which is the width of the Belt 20 is adjusted and this against slipping fixed.
- the length of the second belt 20 is also adjustable, by a belt buckle 23 through which one end of the belt is threaded through.
- the free end 24 of the Belt 20 is obliquely upwards in the direction of Instep 6 led so that the belt slants upwards by pulling can be shortened in the direction of arrow 25.
- the foot is held well by pressure on the instep and firmly pressed in the sales area, so that the very uncomfortable Raised heel inside the shoe prevented is.
- the forces better transferred to the sole and then to the binding.
- the straps cross 11 and 20, with which the free end 24 of the belt 20 of the belt 11 is held.
- Fig. 2 shows the same boot from a different angle. From this figure it can also be seen that the fastening part 18 is attached to the rivet 19 via an elongated hole, which gives better flexibility to bend the shin guaranteed forward.
- FIG. 3 and 4 show two different variants of the stiffening part 18. While in Fig. 1 the attachment over the rivet 19 approximately in the middle of the reinforcing part 18 takes place in the embodiment of FIG. 3 Fastening part in the side view approximately L-shaped, with an obtuse angle between the two legs of the "L”, with the rivet 19 at the lowest point of the reinforcing part is appropriate. In the case of a "reserve”, the Belt 11 and the reinforcement member 18 approximately in the force Intercepted in the middle of the boot. It also offers Construction also a certain support for a side Kinking the ankle joint, what some drivers may be desired.
- the reinforcing part is 18th laterally less far around the shaft and points a U-shaped recess on the underside, in a stop 29 connected to the shaft 3 is present is that as soon as the recess of the reinforcing part 18 stops there, another kinking of the Shaft backwards additionally prevented.
- Fig. 5 shows another variant of the belt guide. Both Belts 11 and 20 are attached here at a common point, which is designed here as an eyelet 30 and opposite the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2 from the forefoot area more in the midfoot area. 5 also shows another variant of the hanging device for the strap 11. At the back of the shaft there are sawtooth-like projections for this purpose Openings 31 through which the belt 11 is threaded is.
