Definitions
- the invention relates to a watch according to the preambles of claims 1 and 6.
- Such a watch is described in US-A-4 170 105 as a purely digital multifunction watch, in particular multifunction wristwatch, described with reduced Number of controls offer the greatest possible variety of functions should.
- This is provided while two pushbuttons are pressed simultaneously to clock a modulo four counter and depending on the duration of actuation reached counter reading with one of the two push buttons between Time display and date display or between second display and minute setting switch or count digital units, and with the other the switch between time display and stopwatch operation or between seconds / minutes display and hour setting toggle or units down count or reset the stopwatch result.
- the aim here is to select the functions of a multifunction digital clock
- the solution to the problem is in seen a table that can be displayed in a table, the sequential operating options and on a combination of time measurement from the first Actuation of any of the two pushbuttons by counting the number of operations one and then the other pushbutton actuation - with triggering one Control signals according to the specific at the end of the specified period follow the push button just pressed.
- the notified function can be obvious can only be reached if the operator at the beginning of this sequence of operations has a concrete idea of how long it will take for the required Tactile operations are required to do this exactly until the end of the specified time period to be able to carry out and then just the one that applies to the desired function To be at the push of a button when the time limit expires.
- the SET mode for the signaling time of an alarm clock, then it is highest unlikely that the tired one who just fell asleep before falling asleep of the wake-up time thinks right away in the actuation and time specification this SET mode meets; while he has even less chances of success in further attempts due to nervousness should have.
- Such complex operating requirements can be met with a normal one Consumers cannot expect a normal everyday function of a watch, especially then not if it is a radio-controlled and therefore completely problem-free in yours Basic functions of the unattended clock.
- One of these is an electronic or electromechanical switch, with which the register for the time information presented is temporarily switched from the operating state to the SET or setting mode, in which the two other switches then pulse individually or as internal - preferably with a continuously increasing pulse repetition frequency - generated pulse sequences can be added to or added to the previous register content via the specified wake-up time.
- the invention is therefore based on the technical problem of a watch of the generic type Art to equip such that they are simple, easy to use operable radio alarm clock distinguishes, but also solutions regarding additional Functions and in particular also cheaper manufacturability opened.
- a watch with electromechanical or electronic Alarm time specification and - preferably digital - electromechanical or electronic display of the the currently set wakeup point can Time adjustment by simultaneous actuation prepared both buttons and then by pressing a button.
- the current time display can also be used in the same way a clock can be changed. If it is This is a radio clock that is not set manually can be, can be via the double actuation for switching the operating mode and then by the optional single actuation a time zone adjustment respectively. In order not to mistakenly do this, and if necessary between an alarm time setting and a time zone adjustment using the same button actuation to be able to choose, it is appropriate for the latter one after switching to SET mode press another key, preferably the one on alarm clocks usually already existing snooze button.
- Electrode comb structures are preferred for the Pushbutton switch paths in part of the circuit board next to a display, which consists of the actual Work capsule protrudes. This allows the display at a comparatively large distance from the Analog display can be arranged, and in its environment there is enough space for training on this circuit board Large-area electrode comb structures available.
- the buttons with which to operate the switch directly or via deflection lever on the rubber pad Comb structures that can be pressed can therefore be relative freely (following the design specifications) above the circuit board can be positioned distributed.
- this part of the PCB still a recording area to finish electronic and electromechanical components for Be prepared to implement additional functions.
- the front hood is also expedient Work capsule itself intended or prepared for this, to immediately record the display and the push button switches; for which then the protruding from the work capsule Part of the circuit board is omitted or along predetermined breaking points can be separated subsequently defined.
- the clock 10 outlined on the top wall is preferably an alarm clock and again preferably a radio controlled alarm clock. It can be a purely digitally displaying clock 10 act, or as shown with an analog-digital Hybrid display.
- the pointer 11 moves in this case in front of a dial 12 while a digital one Display device 14 between derived time information is switchable, under which a calendar information can be and in the case of an alarm clock 10 on each If there is an alarm time.
- This area 13 of the display device 14 is manual or automatic switchable for performance z.
- a radio controlled clock 10 contains the information area 15 also a digital reception display 19, the numerical how often since the recent radio-controlled Display synchronization of the receivers 21 (manually or time-controlled) was switched on without that it can receive usable for synchronization Time telegrams came.
- the reception display 19 shows the value "zero-zero" - if this normal state display is not even hidden to avoid any irritation is, the reception display 19 so only with display values greater than zero becomes visible.
- the display in area 13 is a normal time in the case of an autonomous, for example from a crystal-stabilized clock circuit, operated, digital displaying clock, with a manual time correction or time zone switching can take place; or in Display register 24 stores the alarm time specification, which via a comparator 25 with the (via the receiver 21 of a radio clock 10 correctable) Time register 26 for the current current time is compared to an optical in the case of coincidence and / or control acoustic signal generator 27. Moreover is what is not detailed in the drawing is a motor 28 for movement from the time register 26 the pointer 11 is controlled via a gear 29 when it is as shown at 10 a.m. also with analog Time display on a dial 12 is concerned. In this Trap is the (step) motor 28 with respect to the Magnetic antenna 29 feeding receiver 21 is arranged in this way and operated intermittently that according to DE-GM 90 10 813 practically no disturbing electromagnetic Effects of engine operation on the function of the Receiver input circuit occur.
- the display register 24 is thereby (via the electronic Switching device 16) for receiving Advance pulses, their currently accumulated counting result is displayed in time range 13, unlocked, that both control buttons 18 and 20 simultaneously are operated, what about the AND operation 23 the switching device 16 is detected.
- a holding circuit can then be in the switching device 16 30 are provided, which is the input option holds open as long as one of the switches 18 or 20 remains pressed while the other one is counting up or to count down small display units (e.g. minutes) is keyed. If none of the two push buttons 18, 20 is pressed more, the falls Holding circuit again.
- the holding circuit can also be provided 30 to be equipped with a downshift delay. Then it is sufficient to use the AND link 23 and the hold circuit 30 ready to receive the display register 24 to be set by pushbuttons 18, 20 are actuated overlapping in time; whereupon then only either the key switch 18 for the upward direction or the key switch 20 for the downward direction of the accumulating counting process in register 24 actuated and no other button is manually pressed needs to be captured.
- the hold circuit 30 blocks the input option in the Display register 24 again if over a Circuitry or program-specified No button was pressed for a period of time, about ten seconds after the last actuation one of the push button switches 18 or 20.
- the display shows 14 the current operating state again. That means, that a date is displayed in time range 13 when the alarm function is switched off. It is turned on by not having both push buttons 18, 20 at the same time, but either only the key switch 18 or but only the key switch 20 over a minimum period of time away (for example, more than three seconds long) remains pressed, with the result that the alarm symbol 17 now appears.
- this Operating status can be determined by brief (in the example case less than three seconds) again either one of the two push buttons 18 or 20 one Switching of the performance in time range 13 between current date and currently entered alarm time respectively.
- the signal generator 27 should be straight Radiate alarm signal, then this causes brief Optionally only one of the two pushbuttons can be operated 18 or 20 that the alarm signal is switched off, the alarm is given again after 24 hours (which is indicated by the continuation of the alarm symbol 17 is shown).
- a single push button operation over a longer period of time has definitely Consequence that from the currently given alertness is switched, that is, from the OFF state to the ON state or vice versa; being in the OFF state the presentation of the alarm symbol 17 in the information area 15 of the display device 14 disappears and the time range 13 switches to the presentation of the date.
- an alarm clock has 10 of the ones considered here Kind of another snooze button 31.
- the predefined time of the alarm i.e. during blasting of the alarm signal is actuated, has the As a result, the alarm signal is temporarily suppressed and only after a certain period of a few minutes is released again (function of the alarm signal repetition). It can also be provided to turn on temporary dial lighting.
- the hold circuit 30 exits the SET mode again when over no actuation of a for a predetermined period of time the key switch 18, 20 more took place. So that is the content of the time register 26 in time in another Time zone has been moved. One of the time zone shifts corresponding multiple revolutions of the minute hand however, takes a certain amount of time. Therefore expediently meanwhile at least the in the new time zone currently given hour in the time range 13 is displayed. The then switches to the date or the alarm time back when the pointer 11 to the Angle position corresponding to the new time zone turned to have.
- the clockwork according to Fig. 2/3 is preferred also by one for an alarm clock 110 and again preferably by one for a radio controlled alarm clock 110 with analog-digital hybrid display.
- Their (in the Drawing (not shown) pointers move, worn by waves 111, in front of which as a dial support 112 serving front hood of a work capsule 113, which in the gear train 114 for the timed drive of the pointer mechanism 115 with its pointer shafts 111.
- Latter include a timing circuit 118 for the drive of the gear train 114 and in the case of a radio clock movement 110 whose radio clock circuit 119 (with long-wave receiver, Demodulator and processor for control the receiver activation and for control as well as if necessary Correction of the pointer position) including ferrite loop antenna 120 for the supply of the long wave receiver in the Radio clock circuit 119 and at least one light barrier 121 for pointer position detection via aperture holes, the in the gear and pointer mechanism 114/115 (a reflector 122 on the inside of the rear wall 123 opposite) are trained; such as, for example, in U.S. Patent 4,645,357 described.
- this clock 110 is only partially encapsulated, than the work capsule 113 only part of the circuit board 117 takes in itself. Otherwise this protrudes parallel to the dial support 112 from a side wall 124, preferably from the lower side wall 124 downward.
- This protruding from the work capsule 113 Part 117 'of the circuit board 117 carries directly or an electro-optical display 125 via a plug-in base for additional digital displays such as calendar and alarm information.
- the protruding part 117 'of the circuit board 117 even so large that between the clockwork capsule 113 and the display 125 another recording area 128 for mechanical bracket and electrical connection other electronic or electromechanical components available to implement additional functions is. If this option is not needed, (contrary to the graphic representation) the display 125 with the comb structures on the narrow side 126 also closer to the exit side wall 124 and thus the above PCB part 117 'can be shortened accordingly.
- predetermined breaking points 129 are formed be to the above part 117 'simple and defined to be able to separate, if in the interest of one small clock the dimensions of the work capsule 113 should not be exceeded or the work capsule 113 itself serves as a watch case.
- recesses 30 provided or exposed, around the display 125 and the key switches via the Electrode comb structures 126 also according to FIG. 1 within to be able to arrange the work capsule 113 itself, if the work capsule 113 none outstanding from it PCB part 117 'tolerates.
