Definitions
- the invention relates to a profile strip according to the preamble of patent claim 1 or 2 and a use of the profile strip according to the preamble of patent claim 7 .
- this tubular lining gives way to any movements of the mountain and those caused by temperature fluctuations and movements in the mountain Can compensate for changes in length of the lining, it is always divided into individual sections divided.
- the sections are, for example, an average of 15 cm in length either using the usual methods on site or as ready-made elements in the prepared Tunnel profile introduced. Between the individual building and lining elements a dilatation joint left open, the width of which depends on the prevailing temperatures or expected temperature differences vary between 1 mm and 15 mm can.
- Profile strips which are used for such purposes are known from the article 'Joint tapes, joint profiles' published in the journal 'Bauen mit Kunststoffe' (March 1975, pages 128-130). These profile strips are attached to the concrete lining elements by fully and neatly embedding them in the concrete with their side parts. Such a type of attachment is very complex and is only suitable for concrete elements, and only for those that are manufactured on site. Another disadvantage of these profile strips to be embedded in the concrete is that they cannot be exchanged, which would be desirable, since the service life of the profile strips is in many cases likely to be shorter than the service life of the lining elements.
- US-A-4,189,877 describes a profile strip that does not have to be embedded in concrete during its assembly but can be fastened to the lining elements on its side parts by means of screws.
- This profile strip is a composite material and comprises several layers.
- a base layer made of vinyl extends over the entire width of the strip and has a reinforcement strip in the area of the two side parts in order to reinforce those points which are penetrated by fastening elements such as nails or screws with which the profile strip is fastened to the lining elements.
- An insulation layer that is significantly thicker than the base layer extends only over the central part of the profile strip.
- a reinforcing insert for example a textile or metallic fabric or net, can additionally be arranged between the base layer and the insulation layer.
- This profile strip has several disadvantages; it is extremely complex to manufacture and not durable in use, since the different layers tend to separate.
- a profile strip which is simpler to produce is known from the article 'Investigations into the Compression Stress Relaxation of the Seals of the Lowering Section of the Hamburg Elbe Tunnel' published in the journal 'Baumaschinen und Baugewerbe' (Vol. 26, No. 11, November 1979, pages 579 - 681).
- This profile strip has two layers and consists of elastomers, namely CR vulcanizate on the inside of the tunnel and NR vulcanizate on the side facing the joint and the lining elements with a reinforcing polyamide fabric insert.
- the profile strip is also known as the Omega profile because it has an almost omega-shaped cross section.
- the omega profile is formed by two side parts, which lie in one plane, and by a middle part connecting these side parts, which bulges out of the plane of the side parts and thereby forms a channel for leachate.
- the side parts each have a thickening on their outer edges. With the exception of the thickening along the outer edges of the profile strip, the profile strip has a constant thickness. As a result, the transitions between the side parts and the middle part are strongly rounded.
- retaining strips are arranged on the side parts within the thickening, which are pressed together with the thickenings by means of screws onto the lining elements.
- the lining elements have a reduced wall thickness in their edge areas, as a result of which a type of flat channel is formed on the inside of the tunnel, from which the profile strip protrudes only slightly.
- This arrangement has numerous disadvantages.
- the profile strip consists of two layers, one of which also requires a reinforcing insert, so that it is complex to manufacture and there is a risk that the layers will separate from one another, particularly in the event of displacements.
- the production of the lining elements is difficult because of the reduced edge areas in the wall thickness.
- a tight fit of the side parts against the lining elements is only possible with the help of the assembly strips, which not only have to be procured but also complicate the assembly process.
- the object of the invention also relates to the use of the new profile strip.
- This third task is to propose measures to secure the Allow profile strips that are easier than conventional fastening with screws.
- a first profile strip is thus proposed, which is made of a sealing material is made of sufficient flexibility that is dimensionally stable without stress, the under the conditions prevailing in tunnel construction, its impermeability to water Preserved over longer periods of time and sufficient strength for any shifts having. Rubber is suitable in a protected against oxidation and aging Quality.
- water-resistant flexible plastics such as those containing plasticizers Polyvinyl chloride, in question.
- a second profile strip is also provided with a substantially constant one Wall thickness, but in the transition areas between the side parts and the Middle parts on the side facing away from the components each have a reduction in wall thickness has, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the profile strip, and for example can be formed like a groove.
- This recess enables the Transitions from the middle section to the side sections do not require any large roundings but that, for example in the case of a U-shaped or rectangular channel cross section, an angle of 90 ° between the vertical duct wall part and the side part can be adhered to, so that the side parts over their entire width easily and without using additional auxiliary elements on the components and fasten.
- the groove-like recess also reduces the bending resistance of the profile strip against the stress that occurs when the two components connected by the profile strip are exerted on the profile strip.
- the channel that is formed by the new profile strip can be U-shaped in cross section be.
- Other channels can have a polygonal, in particular a rectangular cross-section exhibit.
- the previously known profile strips are, as mentioned above, either in the concrete, from which the components consist, embedded or by means of suitable fastening elements such as screws attached to the components.
- An essential one Simplify assembly while improving sealing with the new profile strips in that they are used for gluing to the components are suitable.
- the areas of the side parts intended for the adhesive connection are preferably with a roughening, for example fine ribs, which provide a better Adhere.
- Contact adhesive is advantageously used as the adhesive. This consist of a solution of natural or synthetic rubber in a volatile, organic solvents. The contact adhesive becomes mutual on the two Plant deleted certain areas; after the solvent has evaporated the two surfaces are placed next to each other and thereby the corresponding parts connected with each other.
- profile strips Although generally homogeneous profile strips have all the necessary properties, can also use profile strips with reinforcing fibers or Fabric inlays are used.
- the side parts and the tubular middle part of the flexible profile strips consist of one piece and are therefore seamlessly connected.
- Figure 1 shows a piece of a profile according to the invention in a perspective view with the two side parts (1) and the cylindrically shaped middle part (3), which serves as a drainage channel for the leachate in the finished laid profile. With (2) the ribs are indicated, which causes a better adhesion of the bond with the concrete lining.
- FIG. 2 shows a section through the same profile as in FIG. 1, the same reference numbers being used for the individual parts.
- Figure 3 shows the same section as Figure 2, but in a state as it arises when the joint has become narrower due to expansion of the cladding elements, as indicated by the two arrows.
- Figure 4 shows a section through a profile in which the central channel (5) is rectangular.
- Figure 5 shows a step through a completely installed profile (6) which connects two adjacent wall elements (7) made of concrete.
- FIG. 6 shows the view inside a tunnel with a flexible profile strip (8) which connects the two adjacent lining elements (9) and (10) to one another. It is clearly visible how the central channel of the profile opens into the two lateral outlet channels (11) at its lower end.
