Definitions

  • the invention relates to a push button switch with a switching plunger, at the stroke of which a pressure point, a contact and a restoring voltage are generated under spring action according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such pushbutton switches are described in DE-GM 81 14 214, DE 35 20 848 A1, EP 0 074 004 A2, EP 0 123 818 A1 and EP 0 515 943 A2. These have their own spring elements for the functions: pressure point generation, contacting and resetting. The construction and assembly work is accordingly large. In addition, difficulties arise when the switching stroke of the switching plunger is only small and it should be ensured that the pressure point is before the switching point during the stroke.
  • the object of the invention is to propose a pushbutton switch of the type mentioned, in which, with a simple structure and with a short stroke, reliable contact actuation is achieved after a pressure point has been overcome.
  • the one-piece spring element takes over the functions of generating the pressure point, making contact or opening the contact and resetting the switching plunger.
  • the construction and assembly costs are low.
  • the spring element is also easy to manufacture as a stamped and bent part.
  • a very small construction of the pushbutton switch is possible due to the spring element.
  • a housing 1 is arranged on a circuit board 2, on which u. a. two guide surfaces 4, 5 to be connected by means of a push button switch 3.
  • the push button switch 3 has a switching plunger 6.
  • a finger 7 of the switching plunger 6 protrudes through the housing 1 and can be acted upon by an actuator 8.
  • a rib 9 is formed on the switching plunger 6 and lies in a recess 10 in the housing 1.
  • the switching plunger 6 can also be guided laterally at points 11, 12 of the housing 1 (cf. FIG. 3). In any case, the switching plunger 6 is guided with low friction in the longitudinal direction.
  • a boom 13 is formed on the switching plunger 6 and is provided with an opening 14.
  • a slope 15 is formed on the housing 1, on which the boom 13 slides in the manner described in more detail below.
  • the pushbutton switch 3 has a one-piece spring element 16, which is made from a stamped and bent part, for example from partially gold-plated V2A steel.
  • the spring element forms two hairpin-shaped curved guide legs 17, 18, which extend through the opening 14 of the switching plunger 6 and are inserted into a receptacle 19 of the housing 1.
  • the guide leg 17 merges into a connecting leg 20 which sits on the guide surface 4 in an electrically contacting manner. To improve the contact, beads can be formed on the connecting leg 20.
  • a resilient return arm 21 adjoins in a hairpin shape, the free end 22 of which rests against a knob 23 of the arm 13 of the switching plunger 6.
  • an oblique step 24 is formed on the guide leg 18 below the arm 13.
  • a resilient contact arm 26 of the spring element 16 is above the guide surface 5 in the starting position.
  • the contact arm 26 can also end in two or more contact fingers.
  • the switching plunger 6 In the starting position (FIG. 1), the switching plunger 6 is held upwards by means of the resetting arm 21 which is under prestress. The switching plunger 6 thereby finds a stop on the housing 1. Is then pressed on the actuator 8 in the direction of arrow (A), then the edge 28 of the opening 14 presses on the inclined step 24, so that the guide leg 18 pivots toward the guide leg 17, whereby a bias between the guide legs 17,18 arises. A tactile force is to be applied. The pressure increase is shown in the diagram of FIG. 7 in area (a).
  • step 24 When the edge 28 has reached the end of step 24 (cf. FIG. 2), the pressure point (D) (cf. FIG. 7) has been reached. Until then, the plunger has moved in the direction of arrow (B).
  • a lug 30 of the switching plunger 6 strikes the contact arm 26 so that it deforms, as a result of which the contact pressure is increased (cf. FIG. 4).
  • This pressure range is designated by (d) in the diagram according to FIG. 10.
  • the contact pressure (P) of the contact arm 26 on the guide surface 5 is greater than the pressure at the pressure point (D).
  • the stroke of the switching plunger 6 is between 1 mm and 2 mm, in the diagram according to FIG. 10 approximately 1.2 mm.
  • the pressure point (D) is reached at 0.25 mm.
  • the actuator 8 is tiltably mounted on the housing 1 in the exemplary embodiment (see FIGS. 3, 5). It can be tilted about a projection 31 which faces an actuating surface 32 for the finger 7 of the switching plunger 6.
  • a light guide 33 is fastened to the actuating element 8 and faces an LED light source 34 of the circuit board 2.
  • the switching plunger 6 can also be switched with other actuators 8.
  • the circuit board 2 is provided with openings associated with the pushbutton switch 3 or that a soldered connection must be made.
  • the contacting of the guide surfaces 4, 5 takes place by simply pressing on the pushbutton switch 3, in particular the connecting leg 20 and, in the case of switching, its contact arm 26.
  • the tilting movement of the switching plunger 6 in the direction of arrow (C) after reaching the pressure point (D) is not achieved by the bevel 15 and a corresponding shaping of the arm 13.
  • the tilting movement is advantageous because, when the opening 14 is removed from the force applied to the finger 7, it leads to reduced friction and enables a high contact pressure (P).
  • a formation 35 is formed at the lower end of the guide leg 17 in order to produce this tilting movement, which, after reaching the pressure point (D), meets an edge 36 of the opening 14 opposite the edge 28.
  • the one-piece spring element 16 also takes over the function of tilt control of the switching plunger 6.
