Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for drying a paper web in the Preamble of claim 1 indicated type.
  • a method is known for example from GB-A-2 199 398.
  • a moist web is first formed in paper production, the then dewatered and dried to make the paper usable do.
  • Methods can be used for this, in which a relatively large steam-heated drying cylinder is necessary.
  • Such cylinders, their manufacture and assembly are very complex, are also called Yankee cylinders. you reach Diameters of over 5 m and are often with steam pressure in the cylinder up to 8 bar operated.
  • a scraper can be used on a Surface-adhering, dried paper web on the hot press roller during removal be upset.
  • other options are also known, e.g. the uncreped Web with a dry weight of less than 95% on a separate crepe cylinder ready to dry and then crepe.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a method of the type mentioned, with which a high drying performance is achieved and also a high volume Paper quality is possible.
  • the specified paper types can be used with smaller ones Units are dried as before, with the particular Conditions at the exit of the web from the press nip an increase in volume of the paper can be achieved.
  • This additional volume is generated in that a part of the in the Residual water located on the track is controlled as a result of the sudden relaxation evaporates and loosens the fiber structure of the paper web before all fiber bonds were created by hydrogen bonds.
  • the aforementioned Sudden relaxation causes the fibers to be erected on the surface a desired subjective softness, i.e. a "soft grip" can be achieved.
  • Press devices with one or more are used to carry out the method Press nips, with a short or extended press nip conceivable.
  • a short press nip is mostly due to the pressing of rollers with hard and only slight deformable coats produced (Hartnip).
  • An extended press nip (wide nip) can be formed in that the pressing force in the direction of the paper web movable press shoe is applied, which is an impermeable deformable endless coat carries, the shape of the press shoe is designed so that the deformable mante hugs the shape of the counter roll.
  • the so-called hygiene papers are produced in the sheet forming part of the paper machine in a relatively easy path.
  • the sheet weight of such paper is between 10 and 40 g / m 2 , measured on the dry web. Values between 40 and 60 g / m 2 are considered extreme for hygienic papers, whereby it must be taken into account that an increase in the sheet weight, based on the sheet weight in the wet section of the paper machine, is achieved by a possible creping process.
  • the method according to the invention can then also be of good hygiene paper quality lead when working without a crepe scraper.
  • Crepe scrapers expand the Possibility to influence the paper quality, on the other hand, are complex and can be a source of increased wear. Because of the special conditions, that prevail in the method according to the invention can volume, grip and Surface softness should be so good that the creping can be saved.
  • GB-A-2 199 398 is concerned with the production of normal papers. It Measures are proposed that make such a normal Papers can avoid harmful effect of delamination.
  • the here exaggerated thick paper web B is from a wet screen 4 over a Pick-up sucker 5 added and with a felt 3 or the like.
  • the pressing device 1 fed.
  • it is a wide nip press with 2 rollers 9 and 9 ' formed, wherein a press shoe 7 movable in the pressing direction the elastic jacket 8 presses against the counter roller 9 in such a way that the elastic jacket 8 to the Contour of the counter roller 9 nestles.
  • the one to carry out the procedure required heat can - as in this case - by heating the counter roller 9 be made with the help of an outer heating element 10.
  • a steam box 6 directly heating the web and the felt 3 or another Heating device conceivable.
  • the heated paper web remains on leaving the press nip 2 on the counter roller 9, is then creped over a scraper 11 and on a Winding roll 12 wound.
  • an adhesive is applied via the spray tube 14. It can, like here drawn with a thin coating, the so-called coat, on the outer surface of the Roll 9 happen, but also by spraying directly onto the web B, if its Penetration can be accepted. Conveniently removes one Cleaning scraper 13 remnants of material from the roller 9.
  • the method can also be carried out if the Counter roll is not arranged below but above the shoe press. Furthermore a decrease in the dried paper web is shown without a creping scraper. The depends essentially on the type of paper and the process parameters.
  • the Press device can - as shown for example in Fig. 3 - also two press nips 2, each formed by press roll 9 'and counter roll 9, contained by the Paper web B can be run through together with the felt 3 in succession.
  • Breitnip presses are not used. But it is also one Combination of wide nip and hard nip press conceivable, with the order first Hartnip, then Breitnip in general would be particularly advantageous (Fig.
  • FIG. 5 shows schematically that the heating can also be carried out with the aid of electrical heating rods or tubes 10 ′′ for a heat transfer medium which are introduced into the interior of the counter-roller. This also applies to the other arrangements.
  • Fig. 7 shows the technical conditions in the press nip a little more detailed Breitnip press suitable for carrying out the process.
  • a pressure chamber 15 shown as an example is via a channel 16 with a pressure pocket 17 connected via the flexible jacket 8 with hydrostatic Average transfers the pressure to the web B.
  • the press shoe is used by the elastic sheath 8 covered, which is the shape of the cylindrical sheath the counter roller 9 adjusts.
  • Both a felt 3 or the like run through the press nip 2 also the web B. At the end of the press nip 2, the web B remains on the counter roller 9, while the felt 3 is carried away.
  • the web B is by the crepe scraper 11th compressed and then also removed in front of the counter roller 9.
  • the paper web is creped with the scraper 11 and thus also receives Volume effect the desired properties.
  • the precondition for this is that the Web on the counter roll after passing through the press nip.
  • a covering suitable for the high temperatures can be used for certain Liability can be ensured in production cases.
  • suitable agent is added directly to the pulp or sprayed onto the web shortly before entering the press nip is the Temperature resistance of this agent is less critical.
  • a heater 10 'and a heater 10 " drawn in behind the press nip 2 likewise an external heating device 10.
  • an induction device 18 is present, which in -metallic- jacket of the counter roller 9 locally targeted and very controllable heat generated.
  • Another possibility would be e.g. given the pressure medium for the Heat press shoe, but the heat from the felt 3 or the like. would have to be transported through before it, as desired, the paper web reached.
  • the method for drying a voluminous paper web is particularly directed on the production of hygiene paper. Instead of a relatively large one, Steam heated drying cylinders use the moist paper web in one or more heated presses dried. Otherwise, when leaving the press nip unwanted delamination of the paper web due to sudden relaxation of the Flash vapor specifically to improve the volume and softness of the so produced Paper quality exploited.
  • Steam heated drying cylinders use the moist paper web in one or more heated presses dried. Otherwise, when leaving the press nip unwanted delamination of the paper web due to sudden relaxation of the Flash vapor specifically to improve the volume and softness of the so produced Paper quality exploited.
  • both with short and extended press nips can be provided.
