Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1 and a device according to the preamble of claim 2.
  • Such a device with the method is known for example from US-A-3 692 066, UK-A-2 072 009 and DE-U-18 59 737.
  • Rubber-like seals are provided as sealing devices which nestle against the head by means of an inflatable hose seal or as a resilient sealing lip. All these seals have the disadvantage that they are unable to satisfactorily seal the different head sizes and head shapes that occur in practice.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a generic method or device without the disadvantage mentioned above.
  • the sealing device 1 shows a basic structure of a device 1 with a sealing device 2, the sealing device 2 being provided with a liquid-tight housing 3.
  • the sealing device 2 consists essentially of a rubber-like seal 4 - which is shown here relaxed - and a stretching device 5 for expanding the seal 4.
  • the seal 4 lies in a frame 7.
  • Adjusting elements 8 are provided for stretching the seal 4 in the frame 7 .
  • the seal 4 is dimensioned such that it can still apply its own tension around a relatively small head 6 of an adult person according to FIGS. 7 to 9 in a liquid-tight manner.
  • the further structure of the device 1 can be seen from FIGS. 10 and 12, the course of the seal 4 from FIGS. 7 to 9.
  • Fig. 2 shows the seal 4 in the maximally stretched position, the inner edge of the seal 4 protruding slightly beyond the inner edge of the frame 7 in order to avoid head damage.
  • FIG. 3 shows the device 1 according to FIG. 2, but with a head 6.
  • the seal 4 To position the seal 4 with a course 9 according to FIGS. 7 to 9, either the head 6 or the device 1 is aligned accordingly. When this position is reached, the seal 4 is removed from the actuators 8 at least partially relieved such that the inner edge of the seal 4 nestles against the head 6 (Fig. 4).
  • FIG. 5 shows an enlarged view of section VV according to FIG. 3, and FIG. 6 shows section VI-VI according to FIG. 6.
  • a piston 11 arranged in a cylinder 10 is provided as adjusting element 8, with piston 11 is connected via a piston rod 12 to the seal 4 via a connecting bore 13.
  • the seal 4 can be controlled hydraulically or pneumatically via a hose connection part 14. As an additional measure for a liquid-tight adjustment of the seal 4, this is provided with a sealing tab 15.
  • An air compensation opening 16 assigned to the cylinder 10 can be configured as an additional hose connection part 14, whereby the seal 4 can be reduced pneumatically or hydraulically, at least in the critical temple area 17 of the head 6, beyond the relieved state, in order to achieve an optimal liquid-tight seal between the seal 4 and to get the temple area 17.
  • head length a (Fig. 7): 165 to 205 mm; Neck frontal sinus b (Fig. 7): 145 to 205 mm; Head width c (Fig. 8): 135 to 165 mm; Head circumference U (Fig. 9): 520 to 600 mm.
  • Head length a (Fig. 7): 165 to 205 mm; Neck frontal sinus b (Fig. 7): 145 to 205 mm; Head width c (Fig. 8): 135 to 165 mm; Head circumference U (Fig. 9): 520 to 600 mm.
  • About 55 degrees have proven to be a favorable angle of inclination alpha (FIG. 7). It is advantageous if the width X (FIG. 7) of the seal 4 does not exceed 10 mm.
  • FIG. 10 shows an exemplary embodiment as a hood-like device 1.
  • a stretching device 5 according to FIG. 5 is provided.
  • the device 1 can be connected to an adjustable stand at suitable points.
  • the housing 3 is provided with a removable hood 18, which on the one hand makes it easier to align the device 1 on the head 6 when the hood 18 is removed, in order then to treat the head hair 19 to be treated (indicated by dashed lines) to lay on a floor surface 20, on the other hand, when the hood 18 is attached, this serves as a splash guard.
  • an oscillating shower bracket 21 can be provided, which is moved, for example, by an integrated turbine drive 22.
  • the hose connection parts 14 are connected to pressure hoses 23 by a compressed air or pressure water pump, not shown.
  • a manually operated stretching device 5.1 is shown in FIG. 11, an adjusting element 8.1 being provided with an actuating element 24, which serves to stretch and adapt the seal 4.
  • the seal 4 can be adjusted with its pressing force against the surface of the head 6 to be sealed. This function can be supported by a compression spring 26.
  • the seal 4 can be fixed in its position by means of a locking device 27 via the piston rod 12.
  • a rubber-like foam mass or a viscous mass can be provided as the filling material for the interior of the free sealing section 29.
  • a free end 30 of the piston rod 12 is fixedly connected to the seal 4 at connection points 13, for example by means of vulcanizing or latching.
  • FIG. 12 shows the device 1 with the sealing device 2 according to FIG. 11 in a side section.
  • nine symmetrically distributed control elements 8.1 to 8.9 are provided (see also FIGS. 17 and 18!), One control element 8.3, 8.8 each being arranged in the critical temple area 17.
  • a rotary handle 32 is provided to open or close the hood 18, which is provided, for example, with a bayonet lock 31, a rotary handle 32 is provided.
  • the seal 4 is designed as a drainage connection 33.
  • FIG. 13 shows a sectional illustration of the seal 4 in a side view.
  • the nine connection points 13 are arranged in alignment with the adjusting elements 8, 8.1 to 8.9.
  • FIG. 14 A section XIV-XIV according to FIG. 13 is shown in FIG. 14. It is particularly clear here that the seal 4 is provided on the underside with longitudinal grooves 34, as a result of which better sliding in the frame 7 for adjustment is achieved.
  • FIG. 15 A top view XV of the seal 4 according to FIG. 13 is shown in FIG. 15. The arrangement of the connection points 13 is particularly clear.
  • FIG. 16 the frame 7 according to FIG. 12 is shown in FIG. 16 in a sectional side view.
  • FIG. 19 A section XIX-XIX according to FIG. 17 is shown in FIG. 19, the locking rail 35 and the two adjustment grooves 36 for axially adjusting the actuating element 24 being better part of the locking device 27 according to FIG. 11.
  • FIG. 20 A basic block diagram for the simultaneous control of all control elements 8 according to FIGS. 5 and 6 is shown in FIG. 20.
  • a compressed air or pressurized water pump 37 is connected to the actuating elements 8 via pressure hoses 23, the pump 37 being controllable by a control device 39 via a line 38.
  • the operating device 39 is provided with an on / off switch, with which the seal 4 can optionally be brought into an extended or relaxed position.
  • the pressure hoses 23 can advantageously be connected to an annular channel 40.
  • FIG. 21 shows an actuating element 8.10, which is constructed in principle like element 8 according to FIG. 6, but is additionally provided with a controllable locking device 41 and with a pressure sensor 42.
  • a controllable locking device 41 can be provided as the locking device 41, which can lock with a toothed rack 44, the toothed rack 44 being designed as an extension of the piston rod 12.
  • the pressure detected by the pressure sensor 42 corresponds to the predetermined pressure, the piston rod 12 is held by the locking device 41.
  • the pump 37 is then switched off.
  • the pump 37 is briefly switched on again in such a way that the seal 4 is stretched and is held in this position by latching the locking device 41.
  • a lock 45 of the lifting magnet 43 is tightened so that the rack 44 can move freely.
  • the predetermined contact pressure can also be achieved by continuously applying pressure to the piston rod 12 during the treatment period.
  • FIG. 22 A schematic block diagram for an operation of the control element 8.10 according to FIG. 21 is shown in FIG. 22.
  • an operating device 39 is provided which is connected to a control device 46.
