Definitions
- the invention relates to a nozzle for a tub, especially whirlpool tub, according to the specified in the preamble of claim 1 Features.
- Such a nozzle with an insert body is known from DE-U-89 01 137, the transverse bores and outflow openings of which open into an annular space.
- the outflow openings are covered by a membrane tube which surrounds an essentially cylindrical part of the insert body, the sealing by means of the membrane tube being intended to be improved by sealing grooves in the insert body.
- a cover part of the insert body overlaps a flange of the nozzle body, radially directed outflow channels being limited by cams.
- the resulting radial outflow of air is disadvantageous insofar as a direct flow to a user lying in the tub is only possible to a limited extent and a powerful pump with high air throughput is required to achieve a good massage effect.
- the entire cross section of the outflow channels mentioned is comparatively large and an axial movement of the insert element out of the nozzle body hardly leads to a noticeable change in the outflow speed or even to an increase in the same. Furthermore, the cams on the upper side of the flange and the cover part arranged above cause a not inconsiderable overall height beyond the inner surface of the tub, so that the arrangement of such a nozzle, particularly in the area of the tub floor, is quite a hindrance for a user.
- a nozzle having the features of the preamble of claim 1 is known, with an annular gap between the inner surface of the nozzle body and the opposite outer surface of the insert element, the width of which is smaller in the direction of the annular outlet opening, the inner surface, which of the outlet opening is tapered inwards to the longitudinal axis, adjoins the internal thread and the insert element has a recess on its outside in the region of the radial openings, in which the named outer surface of the insert element ends.
- a nozzle for installation in a bore in a Bathtub is known from DE-C-37 20 637.
- the Insert body contains the flange of the nozzle body again overlapping cover part and due the overall high height, this nozzle is in one Arranged deepening of the inner tub surface, which increases the manufacturing effort.
- the insert element contains radial breakthroughs, and that the medium flowing out essentially becomes is diverted upwards by 90 ° and afterwards again Deflection radially outwards Outlet openings between the cover and the Flange the nozzle body to flow radially outward.
- the flow path specified in this way is conditional Turbulence and pressure drops, so that a corresponding high pump output for the outflowing Medium is required.
- GB-A-311 161 is a nozzle known for applying liquid to this as a finely divided film or spray, for example as Paint application to apply on a base.
- Nozzle contains a cylindrical block with a Number of recesses arranged in a spiral for swirling the liquid, the outlet openings of said recesses in an axial End face of said block are arranged.
- the Manufacture of the fluid intended for swirling Requires spirally arranged recesses quite a bit of effort. The swirls cause a considerable pressure loss and the Arrangement of radial openings in the insert body and a radial outflow of the medium the insert body is not possible.
- the nozzle body For feeding air or water into a Pan is also a nozzle from EP-A-284 661 known, the nozzle body one on the inner surface of the tub, expediently over a seal Has flange. Is the nozzle body in the appropriate hole, in particular the tub bottom, inserted, so an external thread of the nozzle body protrudes at the bottom of the tub bottom and there is attached by means of a union nut. Furthermore, the nozzle body has a connection for air, which thus comes from a connected Pipe system to be pumped into the interior of the tub can. There is also an insert element which from the inside of the tub in the Nozzle body inserted and via a threaded connection is screwed into the nozzle body. The insert element is essentially cylindrical and has an external thread for the thread connection mentioned.
- DE-A-3 939 665 is a bath tub nozzle known whose cylindrical nozzle body again has a flange which is installed Condition on the inside surface of the tub floor rests.
- a seal and an im Area of the underside of the tub bottom on a Male thread of the nozzle body screwed on the nozzle body is attached to the tub floor.
- the inside of the nozzle body is axially continuous Bore on, through which from the connected Air line system to be pumped into the tub can.
- the one from the inside of the tub in the Nozzle body insertable has on the Inside an annular rim, which the Grips over the flange of the nozzle body.
- the insert element also is essentially cylindrical, wherein however parts of the thread over the entire length are worn out. Between the worn flat Areas as well as the internal thread of the nozzle body is a comparatively narrow one parallel to the longitudinal axis Gap present through which the nozzle body supplied air can flow into the tub interior. The gap width and thus the passage cross section is comparatively small and can also not be changed become.
- EP-A-270 858 is an outlet nozzle for the outlet valve of a whirlpool tub with a channel for water supply and one Air supply channel known.
- a circular outlet channel present, being inside the above Distribution body of the outlet channel into individual radial Outlet channels is divided.
- the distance between the two Distribution body is predefined and a change through the outlet channel in the radial direction outflowing amount of water is not possible.
- the inner distribution body and the tub floor in connection with the air supply duct standing gap its width cannot be changed.
- the object of the invention based, the nozzle of the type mentioned with little To further educate effort that the Allows air or water to flow in reliably being, the inflow amount without difficulty changeable and the construction volume should be small. Flow losses, pressure drop due to deflection or The like should remain as small as possible so that a good inflow into the tub interior guaranteed is without a high printing performance of the Air duct system pump or the like is required is.
- the nozzle should have compact dimensions and a low manufacturing and Require assembly effort. After all, cleaning is supposed to the nozzle easily and special tools or aids can be carried out.
- the nozzle according to the invention stands out due to a simple and reliable construction and can be done without any special manufacturing effort getting produced.
- the Nozzle body has one for inside the tub conically opening inner surface.
- the insert element also has a conical outer surface, but is the opening angle is larger by a predetermined amount than the opening angle of the inner surface of the nozzle body.
- the conical inner surface of the nozzle body on the one hand and the conical outer surface of the insert element on the other hand are coordinated in the way that according to the screw depth of the insert element the width of the gap through which the Medium flows out, can be specified.
- the conical outer surface the insert element ends in the area of a Ring groove.
- the insert element has one larger outer diameter compared to the bottom of the ring groove on, where there on the outer surface External thread for screwing into the nozzle body is provided.
- the insert element an axial blind bore beginning at its lower end in which outgoing from said ring groove essentially radially aligned Holes open.
- the area of the ring groove is one Number of such radially directed bores provided, between which only comparatively there are small bridges. The one that flowed in from below Air can therefore be used without significant redirection from the blind hole through the above Radial bores in the annular gap and finally in flow inside the tub.
- the nozzle body screwed insert element can if necessary for the purpose of cleaning easily from the Nozzle body to be removed. After unscrewing of the insert element is the inside of the Nozzle body easily accessible and also the insert element can then be done without any particular difficulty getting cleaned. There are none to make the nozzle complex machines or tools required, and overall there are only a few processing steps for the production of the nozzle body on the one hand and the Insert element required on the other hand.
- FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the nozzle, which has a nozzle body 2 and an insert element 4 contains.
- the nozzle body essentially faces it cylindrical outer surface an external thread 6 and a flange 8 at its upper end.
- the Nozzle body 2 can be in a recess in a known manner or drilling a trough base 10 which is indicated here by dash-dotted lines is.
- a seal not shown and one on the external thread 6 from the bottom screwed on the bottom of the tub the nozzle body is fixed in a known manner 2 on the tub floor.
- the invention Floor nozzle only protrudes at height 12, which in corresponds essentially to the height of the flange the inner surface 14 of the tub.
- the surface 16 of the flange 8 is conveniently such conical that the height at the outer edge lower than on the radially inner edge 18 of the outlet opening 20. From said edge 18 runs an inner surface 22 of the outlet opening conical inwards with a first opening angle 24.
- the nozzle body contains one inside Through hole 26 through which the Medium to be pumped, in particular air or Water that can be supplied. At the lower end 28 of the nozzle body 2 suitable connection means for Connection of the floor nozzle to a pipe system for the mentioned medium are provided.
- the through hole 26 contains an internal thread 30 in which the insert element 4 with its external thread 32 can be screwed in.
- the first opening angle 24 lies expediently in the range between 40 and 100 degrees, preferably between 60 and 80 degrees.
- the conical inner surface 22 extends from the internal thread 30 to the edge 18.
- the insert element 2 has on its upper End one lying inside the tub and essentially flat surface 34.
- the insert element 4 has an outer diameter 36, which is at most the same or a predetermined Amount is smaller than the inner diameter 38 of the nozzle body 2 or the conical inner surface 22 on said edge 18.
- the insert element at its upper End has an outer surface 40 which likewise conical with a second opening angle 42 is trained. This second opening angle 42 is larger than the first opening angle 24 of the nozzle body 2.
- the two opening angles 24 and 42 are in the Matched to each other that according to the Screw-in depth of the insert element 4 in the nozzle body 2 the gap width of the outlet opening 20 can be predetermined is.
- the second opening angle 42 is in the Order of magnitude between 60 and 120, preferably between 80 and 100 degrees.
- the second opening angle 42 of the Insert element 4 substantially 90 degrees while the first opening angle of the nozzle body 2 in is essentially 70 degrees. So there is an angle difference of around 20 degrees.
- an annular gap 44 which towards the edge 18 or the outlet opening 20 tapers, creating particularly favorable flow conditions arise and the supplied medium under pressure according to arrows 46 from the annular Outlet opening 20 flows into the tub interior.
- the gap width of the outlet opening 20 is variable and for this only the insert element 4 must be in the nozzle body 2 are screwed in more or less deeply.
- the Inner surface 22 and the opposite outer surface 40 designed as conical surfaces. It is crucial in all embodiments that the Gap width of the outlet opening 20 by moving the Insert element 4 can be changed with respect to the nozzle body 2 is. If the insert element 4 is completely in screwed the nozzle body 2 such that the gap width the outlet opening 20 approaches zero, so is the Nozzle practically closed and the supplied Medium is prevented from flowing out. However, will the insert element 4, based on the illustrated Position, in the direction of the longitudinal axis 48 upwards screwed a little further out of the nozzle body 2, so the gap width of the outlet opening 20th larger and the medium can flow out more easily.
- FIG. 2 shows the insert element in an axial section 4, which inside one with the longitudinal axis 48 has aligned blind bore 50.
- the Blind drilling begins at the lower end 52 of the insert element and ends at a predetermined distance in front of the surface 34.
- essentially a recess or an annular groove coaxial to the longitudinal axis 48 54 provided, which seen in the axial direction between the conical outer surface 40 and the External thread 32 is arranged.
- recesses which in particular as radial bores 56 are formed, the connection between the Blind bore 54 and the outer region of the insert element 4 manufactured.
- the conical one Outer surface 40 ends in the annular groove 54. How can be seen, the outer diameter 36 in the area the surface 34 much larger than the outer diameter 58 of the external thread 32.
- Fig. 1 it can be seen that due to this configuration the medium from the blind bore 50 in essentially unimpeded radially outwards in the direction can flow to the outlet opening 20. basics Flow deflections, eddies or the like, which lead to a noticeable drop in pressure could be avoided.
- the depth of the ring groove 54 measured from the outer diameter 58, is expediently larger than the wall thickness 60 of the insert element 4 in the area of the external thread 58. It is thus achieved that the insert element 4 in Area of the annular groove 54 or the existing there radial recesses a much smaller thickness 62 has said wall thickness 60. expedient the thickness 62 is at most only half as large as that Wall thickness 60.
- This dimensioning ensures that the inner nozzle in the area of the recesses or radial bores 56 a favorable Has flow pattern for the medium that largely unhindered from the blind bore 50 Outlet opening can flow. From the above Reasons is the diameter of the holes 56 in essentially the same size as the axial length 64 of the Bottom of the ring groove 54.
- Fig. 3 shows a section along line A. 2, the one behind the plane of the drawing Part of the insert element with the external thread is not shown for the sake of simplicity. It there are a total of six radial bores 56, between which comparatively narrow webs 66 stand. In this respect, there is minimal influence on the Flow conditions guaranteed.
- FIG. 4 shows the insert element 4 in Direction B according to FIG. 2 on the flat surface 34.
- Three additional holes 68 are provided, which is a direct connection from the inside of the Insert element 4 existing blind hole in the Form the inside of the tub.
