Definitions
- the invention relates to a reel furnace for a hot strip with a furnace hood, a drivable mandrel provided in the furnace hood, which has an insertion opening for the winding end of the hot strip, and with a strip inlet guide opening into a strip takeover position of the reel mandrel in the region of its insertion opening, the In the direction of entry of the winding end, the reel mandrel that can be driven into the insertion opening can be adjusted in a guide that runs transversely to the incoming strip strand, depending on the winding diameter.
- reel furnaces are arranged upstream and downstream of this stand, so that the strip can be unwound from one reel furnace, rolled in the reversing stand and wound up in the other furnace.
- the reel furnaces consist in the usual manner (US Pat. No. 4,761,983) of a heat-insulated furnace hood and a reel mandrel provided in the furnace hood, which has an insertion opening for the winding end of the strip. which is conveyed via a roller table and is fed into the furnace via an inlet guide which generally consists of a swivel flap.
- the winding end is pushed along the tape inlet guide into the insertion opening of the reel mandrel, which has to be rotated into a tape take-over position for this purpose.
- the reel mandrel is driven counter to the strip inlet direction, so that the winding end of the hot strip is bent around the rear edge of the insertion opening with respect to the direction of rotation for the winding.
- the application of the tape to the jacket of the reel mandrel is supported by pressure rollers, which are in a swing arm are stored and are pressed against the reel mandrel or the band windings surrounding the reel mandrel via a cylinder engaging the rocker arm.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of improving a coiler for a hot strip of the type described at the outset with simple constructive means such that a complete retraction of the hot strip into the coiler is made possible.
- the invention solves the stated problem in that a tape guide extends or can be inserted into the gusset area between the tape roll and the incoming or outgoing tape run.
- a tape guide can be provided in a simple manner, which projects into this gusset area or can be inserted. After the hot strip has been completely drawn into the reel furnace, this strip outlet guide catches the end of the strip slightly protruding from the strip reel and guides it out of the furnace as the reel mandrel continues to rotate.
- the constant running-in conditions not only result in an advantageous use of space in the area of the incoming strip strand, but also simplify the winding process, which can also be supported by the fact that at least one pressure roller, at least during the winding process, is assigned to the coiler mandrel, against which the coiler mandrel with a predetermined force is pressed.
- This pressure roller can be formed by a roller of a roller table passing through the coiler below the coiler mandrel, which creates particularly simple constructional relationships, with the possibility of not winding the strip in the oven, but conveying it further below the oven.
- a further advantage is obtained if, on the furnace side facing away from the strip inlet guide, a strip discharge guide that can be adjusted to the strip reel is provided with a downstream pair of drive rollers, because in this case the strip can be drawn off not only on the inlet side but also on the opposite side of the reel furnace. So that the heat insulation of the reel furnace is not impaired by this additional pull-off option, the strip outlet guide can be shifted on the side of the furnace facing away from the strip inlet guide between a position of use placed on the strip reel and a rest position closing a strip passage opening through the furnace hood.
- One of the drive rollers of the drive roller pair assigned to the tape roll can advantageously be designed as a stationary pressure roller, on the one hand the winding process in the area of the first tape turns and on the other hand the unwinding process can be supported by a corresponding conveying force on the tape to be unwound.
- the drive for adjusting the reel mandrel in the guide running transversely to the incoming strip strand in a further embodiment of the invention consists of two separately controllable drive units, each associated with a reel mandrel side, then these separately controllable drive units can be used to pivot the reel mandrel about a swivel axis running in the infeed direction of the strip be carried out, which allows an equalization of a lateral belt run, which must be reckoned with frequently with reversing stands.
- 1 to 5 consists essentially of a heat-insulated furnace hood 1, in which a hollow reel mandrel 2 is provided, which has an insertion opening 3 in its jacket for the winding end 4 of the band 5 to be wound.
- a tape inlet guide 6 is provided, which consists of two hinged flaps 7 and 8 which are articulated to one another and which are each individually adjustable via swivel cylinders 9. In the tape takeover position shown in FIG. 1, the tape inlet guide 6 opens in the area of the insertion opening 3, so that the tape 5 with its winding end 4 is inserted into the reel mandrel 2 through the insertion opening 3.
- the belt conveyor is supported by a pair of drive rollers 10 upstream of the belt inlet guide 6.
- the winding end 4 After insertion of the winding end 4 into the reel mandrel 2, the latter is driven in the direction of entry of the band, the winding end 4 being bent according to FIG. 2 around the rear edge 11 of the insertion opening 3 in the direction of rotation of the reel mandrel 2, which has a correspondingly curved contact surface for the Forming end 4 forms, which, due to the winding mandrel rotation in the infeed direction of the strip, is only subjected to a slight bend in comparison with an opposite winding. Therefore, larger strip thicknesses can be used without fear of cracking.
- in the transition area from one turn to the next there is less band increase and thus less vibration excitation. It therefore becomes a more favorable transition between the winding radii of two consecutive tape windings achieved.
- the winding of the winding end 4 on the reel mandrel 2 is supported by driven, fixedly mounted pressure rollers 12, which can be shifted relative to the reel mandrel 2 transversely to the incoming band strand 13.
- the bearing blocks 14 for the reel mandrel 2 which is driven by cardan shafts, are displaceably mounted on the two reel mandrel sides in a correspondingly aligned link guide 15.
- the adjustment drive for the coiler mandrel 2 consists of two separately controllable drive units 16, each associated with a coiler mandrel side, for example of two actuating cylinders, so that the coiler mandrel 2 is displaced parallel to one another, but can also be pivoted about an axis running in the strip infeed direction.
- the swivel flaps 7 and 8 are pivoted out of the use position of FIG. 1 into a rest position, as is shown, for example, in FIG. 4. Because of the fixed arrangement of the pressure roller 12 on the inlet side, the coiler is also largely closed in the rest position of the inlet guide via the swivel flaps 7 and 8. After the first turns, pressing the incoming ribbon strand 13 against the drum shell is no longer necessary, so that the coiler mandrel 2 can be lifted slightly from the pressure rollers 12.
- the reel mandrel 2 is removed by the drive units 16 after each revolution by an amount corresponding to the ribbon thickness from the stationary pressure rollers 12, so that the impact point 17 of the incoming Tape run 13 is predetermined unchanged on the forming tape roll and the incoming tape run 13 between the open pair of driver rollers 10 and the point of impact 17 is always in a constant position.
- the tape drain guide 19 is advanced against the tape roll with the aid of an actuating cylinder 21, so that the protruding drain end 20 of the tape is guided along the tape drain guide 19 against the drive roller pair 10.
- the swivel flaps 7 and 8 are to be pivoted from their position drawn with full lines for the closed furnace into the position indicated by dash-dotted lines.
- the tape roll is pressed against the pressure rollers 12 for initiating the unwinding process, which then act as driver rollers.
- a reel furnace which also allows the strip to be unwound on the furnace side opposite the strip entry side.
- a tape outlet guide 23 that can be adjusted to the tape reel is provided, which catches the outlet end 20 of the tape and feeds it to a downstream pair of drive rollers 24, from which the drive roller assigned to the tape reel is formed by the stationary pressure roller 12.
- the tape guide 23 drawn in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 6, the tape is unwound on the side of the furnace opposite the tape inlet.
- the passage opening of the furnace is closed for the outgoing belt.
- the pressure rollers 12 could be adjustable transversely to the belt in order to be able to move the pressure rollers away from the belt winding or from the reel mandrel if necessary. It would also be possible to hold the inlet end of the tape in the insertion opening with the aid of a clamping device.

Abstract
Description
