Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for producing a skin packaging unit according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a corresponding method is known from US-A-3 648 428.
  • the specified invention relates to packaging units for goods, such as those found on the shelves of self-service markets.
  • the packaging units can be accommodated either loosely in the individual compartments or shelves or hanging on a mandrel or rail on a shelf, skin packaging being known as the type of packaging for the goods.
  • the goods are covered by means of a transparent film, the covering film being firmly connected to edge surfaces of a carrier material, such as cardboard or cardboard, which protrude beyond the goods.
  • the film is either shrunk or vacuum drawn around the goods, so that the goods lie physically wrapped on the carrier material.
  • the carrier material must be permeable to air, in order to provide a product label, it is therefore necessary to print on the sheet of the carrier material.
  • Skin packaging is not only important in terms of presentation properties, it is also intended to prevent consumers from tearing open the packaging unit in the sales area to steal the goods, in order to then steal the goods in an unauthorized manner.
  • the skin packaging is therefore also a means of securing theft in self-service shops.
  • Packaging units of this type which are preferred in the self-service area for reasons of sales, for example for the purpose of presenting the goods and as preventive theft protection, have the great disadvantage that one can see that two different materials are used in the described type of packaging come who are connected to each other; on the one hand cardboard or cardboard is used as the carrier material and on the other hand a plastic film is used for covering.
  • Skin packaging is therefore to be regarded as not environmentally compatible with regard to disposal; the used film, which is often made of non-degradable plastics, and the packaging, which is difficult to tear, do not allow proper disposal because the film is firmly attached to the Backing material is so determined that it can only be separated from the cardboard (or cardboard), which is itself recyclable, if at all, only with great and therefore uneconomical effort, in order to be able to feed at least these parts used for the packaging unit to a recycling bin.
  • the method creates a skin packaging unit which has detachable connections, in particular in the area of the openings in the overlap area. Based on these Detachable connection, it has become possible to easily separate the item from the packaging unit in the sales room, but not without the attention required for theft protection by tearing open the detachable connection. At the same time, the better separation behavior of the film and the backing material is guaranteed, so that the packaging material can be separated cleanly in the sales room to mix the individual components, such as plastic film and cardboard or cardboard carriers, in the sales rooms Disposal containers for the different packaging materials are supplied so that the individual value components can be returned to the recycling process in this way.
  • the bottom film is provided with needle openings distributed over the entire surface, through which the vacuum can be drawn, which is drawn through the cardboard or through the cardboard in conventional skin packaging.
  • This design of the bottom film in connection with the openings surrounding the individual goods fields enables the vacuum necessary for packaging to be drawn even with air-impermeable goods carriers, which enables the use of an unprinted goods carrier or only printed with the basic colors and descriptions, in which case only partially air-permeable or even air-impermeable adhesive labels can be used for labeling individual parts.
  • the breakthroughs delimiting the goods fields of the goods carrier are stamped out in such a way that the individual goods fields are connected to one another by permanent tabs. These breakthroughs produced in this way extend around the product fields with the exception of the tongues or tabs connecting the adjacent product fields, which are provided on the transverse and / or longitudinal side. Because of the breakthroughs, it is possible that, in particular in the edge area around the carrier material, a releasable connection between the overlapping areas of the bottom and top films can be produced so that the film material no longer has to be firmly connected to the carrier material, as in the skin packaging known from the prior art. The carrier material with the goods is therefore bond-free between the two foils, so that this essentially enables the material-appropriate disposal. Due to the tabs or tongues extending at the edge areas, the connection of the bottom and top films is interrupted in these areas, so that the separation process of the films connected in the overlap area can be easily initiated with a fingernail or a knife tip.
  • transverse and longitudinal tongues or tabs connect the individual carriers of the carrier material made of cardboard or cardboard to a cardboard surface before they are separated in the last process step. It is therefore possible that the previously used devices for deep drawing or shrinking can continue to be used.
  • the tongues or tabs provide the necessary stability of the individual carriers surrounded by the openings, so that a sufficiently stable bond can be produced between the individual carrier boards or cardboard surfaces on which the goods are placed. In this case, a peripheral edge strip surrounding all product fields is advantageously provided, which ensures safe processing.
  • the overlapping edge regions of the foils lying one above the other are drawn into one another in the region of the openings during vacuum drawing, the knob connection being interrupted in the region of the transversely and longitudinally arranged tongues or tabs.
  • the advantage of a knob connection is that they can produce sufficient strength without the use of an adhesive or the like.
  • Both the bottom film and the top film form pot-like shapes that can be inserted into one another in the overlapping area of the edges.
  • labels or advertising media can already be applied to the substrate material beforehand using the method. This has become possible in that the backing material is incorporated in the film pocket without binding and without the action of adhesives. According to the conventional method, labels of this type could only be applied subsequently after the skin film had been applied, since it was difficult to carry out the vacuum pulling at these discontinuities.
  • the method it is advantageous to remove at least one side length of the overlapping edge region in the third method step for separating the packaging units from the composite. Not leaving the detachable edge all the way around has the advantage that the carrier material with the article is accommodated like in a bag. When the individual packaging units are separated from the composite to form this pocket, the upper transverse overlap region of the connecting knob connection is also cut off. Now you can reach into the open side of the bag with your finger, in order to better tear open the packaging unit at the edge areas, so that the nubs of the nub connection which are inserted into one another can be easily separated.
  • a particular advantage for processing the cardboard surface is that the cardboard or cardboard surface connected by the tongues or tabs is surrounded by a frame made of cardboard or cardboard.
  • This frame contributes to the stability of the composite system during machine processing, since the frame prevents the individual carriers from buckling and during transport the packaging unit to be processed has a protective effect on a conveyor.
  • a device for carrying out this method for producing a skin packaging unit which consists of a conveyor table with drivers, onto which a first film and the carrier material with the goods are first placed, and a device for deep drawing or shrinking on the second film to be applied is connected to the conveyor table, and the packaging units are then separated.
  • Such a device is designed in such a way that, on the one hand, the double layer of lower film and supporting material lying thereon is conveyed safely on the conveyor table, and, on the other hand, the surrounding knob connection described above can be produced by the downstream device for applying the second upper film in a vacuum-drawing process.
  • the conveyor table has at least one chain center equipped with drivers or a swivel lever feed, lugs being formed on the drivers, which form a gap above the table level, between which the lower overlay film and the cardboard or cardboard material for the feed can be inserted on the conveyor table.
  • the nose ends lie on the edge area of the two sheets lying one above the other and press the sheets against the table level, while also preventing the edge area from bulging, so that slipping between the sheets during transport underlying film and the overlying carrier sheet is prevented.
  • the drivers are guided in U-profiles in the area of the conveyor table level and protrude with their lugs from the conveyor table level for gap formation.
  • the drivers attached to a chain center or to a swivel lever feed are each guided in the table level via the drives located below the conveyor table.
  • the drivers pivot with the lugs into the table level from below, and according to the course of motion of the drives, the drivers pivot out of the table level again. If the drivers enter the table level from below, the two sheets of bottom film and carrier material placed one above the other can be inserted into the gaps that form in the noses directed in the conveying direction.
  • a slight clamping effect is caused on the sheets lying one above the other, so that when the individual items are placed on, a shifting or shifting of the two sheets lying thereon can no longer take place.
  • the individual goods can now be placed by hand or by an additional device securely on the support surfaces, so that slight jerky movements while guiding the drivers in the U-profile rails do not affect the three superimposed parts.
  • the pinching effect not only ensures the safe transport of the sheets, but also a stable movement of the goods on the carrier material.
  • the conveyor table has a circuit arrangement which resets the drivers before the device for deep-drawing or shrink-fitting the second film takes over the drawing-in process.
  • This advantageous design of the device with the control arrangement ensures that the drivers with the molded noses do not pull the carrier material and the film into the slots and thus endanger the stable position of the sheets lying one above the other and the goods lying thereon.
  • the control arrangement is designed in such a way that the drivers first press the sheets of film and backing material into the deep-drawing or shrinking device before they submerge until the transport means provided in this device takes over the further transport. After a short reset, the drivers then release the sheets of film and cardboard before diving into the table level. This is achieved in the conveying device by switching the drives against the conveying direction.
  • the perforations are arranged on a sheet metal in accordance with the overlapping edge regions of the individual carrier.
  • a bottom film 2 is first placed on a conveyor table 15 in a first method step.
  • a printed carrier material 3 is then placed on the bottom film 2, on which the goods 4 to be presented are then placed.
  • the carrier material 3 can consist of cardboard or cardboard.
  • an upper film 5 is applied in a deep-drawing process by means of vacuum around the goods 4.
  • the packaging units 1 are then separated, by means of which the individual packaging units 1 are then separated by means of a cutting device or a punching device.
  • the printed carrier material 3, which is provided with punched-out openings 6 as shown in FIG. 3, is placed on the first lower film 2.
  • the top film 5 is then placed in a known manner on the goods 4 and the carrier material 3 for deep drawing.
  • the two films 2, 5 are pressed together to form a releasable connection 7.
  • the openings 6 as punched-out strips 8 extend as an edge around the carrier material 3 carrying the goods 4.
  • tongues or tabs 9 interrupt the running strips 8.
  • the releasable connection 7 according to the invention between the first lower film 2 and the second upper film 5 lying on the edge area of the packaging unit 1 on the edge of the carrier material 3.
  • the tongues or tabs 9 attached on the transverse and longitudinal sides connect the individual carriers of the carrier material 3 from cardboard or cardboard to form a cardboard surface 10 according to FIG. 3.
  • This cardboard area 10 is then separated into individual packaging units 1 in the last method step, as already described above.
  • connection 7 In the area of the openings 6, the releasable connection 7 between the two lower and upper films 2 and 5 takes place in the deep-drawing process at the overlapping edge regions of the superimposed films 2 and 5.
  • the connection is designed as a circumferential knob connection 11 around the carrier material 3.
  • the circumferential knob connection 11 is interrupted in the region of the transversely and longitudinally arranged tongues or tabs 9. These discontinuities specified in the circumferential knob connection 11 advantageously make it possible for the separation process of the bottom and top foils 2, 5 to be easily initiated, particularly at these points, either with a fingernail or a knife tip.
  • At least one side length 12 of the overlapping edge region is removed from the composite in order to separate the packaging unit 1.
  • the upper transverse overlap region 13 of the connecting knob connection 11 is cut off, in particular when the individual packaging units 1 are separated from the composite to form a pocket. In this way, an open side length 12 is created, which is easily accessible for a finger in order to separate the packaging unit 1, in particular at the knob connections 11.
  • the device in the device for carrying out the method according to the invention for producing a skin packaging unit 1 according to FIG. 4, the device essentially consists of a conveyor belt table 15 and a device 16 for deep-drawing or shrinking on the second film 5.
  • the conveyor table 15 has at least one chain center 18 equipped with drivers 17.
  • Lugs 19 are formed on the drivers 17, which form a gap 20 to the conveyor table plane 21.
  • the bottom film 2 and the carrier material 3 can be inserted or inserted in the gap 20 in an overlapping manner for the feed on the conveyor table level 21.
  • U-shaped rails 22 are attached below the conveyor table plane 21, the opening of which extends over the region of the slots extending in the conveyor table plane 21.
  • the lugs 19 accordingly protrude from the conveyor table level 21.
  • the lugs 17 are shaped in such a way that they form a narrowing gap 20, so that the first film 2 and the carrier material 3 lying above it can be firmly clamped. According to the invention, this clamping effect ensures safe transport on the conveyor table level 21, ensuring that the two sheets of carrier material 3 and film 2 do not shift or slip during transport. In addition, the pinching or wrapping effect ensures that the goods 4 lying loosely on the carrier material 3 are safely transported in the direction of the deep-drawing device.
  • the conveyor table 15 has a control arrangement, not shown, which controls the drivers which run transversely to the conveying direction 17 resets before the device 16 for deep drawing or shrinking on the second film 5 carries out the insertion process.
  • the controlled resetting process of the drivers 17 advantageously results in the drivers 17 forming the gap 20 releasing the transport unit or canceling the pinching effect again before the drivers 17 dive back into the conveyor table level 21.
  • FIG. 7 shows an embodiment of the conveyor table 15, in which the drivers 17 are arranged on a swivel lever feed 23.
  • the swivel lever feed 23 is controlled and moved via cylinder 24.
  • the drivers 17 attached to a rod 26 are either pivoted into or out of the table levels 21.
  • the sheets of bottom film 2 and carrier material 3, which are lying one above the other, are also released from the clamping gap 20 by correspondingly resetting the rod 26 to which the catches 17 are fastened before the device for vacuum pulling undertakes.
  • the device 16 for deep-drawing by means of vacuum of the foils (2, 5) for producing the releasable knob connection 11 of the packaging unit 1 contains a metal sheet (not shown in detail) with perforations which correspond to the overlapping edge area of the single carrier are arranged. Due to the negative pressure below the perforated sheet 5 knobs pull into both the lower film 2 and the upper film, which, when inserted into one another, produce the easily detachable connection 7.
  • the connection 11 is produced only by the plug-in effect of the nubs which are plugged into one another, without an adhesive or other adhesive being used in any way.
