Definitions

  • the invention relates to a curtain for a triangular or trapezoidal surface, with an upper head rail and a central rail, which delimit a substantially triangular curtain area in the lowered state of the curtain, the central rail pivoting about the triangle tip common to the two rails relative to the head rail by means of a can be raised and lowered through openings in the curtain.
  • Such curtains serve to shade non-rectangular, in particular triangular or trapezoidal window surfaces.
  • the curtain itself usually consists of a textile material that is pleated like a pleat.
  • Curtains are also known which have blind slats arranged one above the other.
  • the head rail of such a curtain is attached to the sloping upper edge of the window opening. In the lowered state of the curtain, it hangs from the head rail, the horizontally hanging central rail having an essentially triangular area in which the pleated blind is folded out fan-shaped, closes at the bottom.
  • the head rail and the middle rail form two legs of a triangle.
  • a further, essentially rectangular curtain area which is delimited at its lower end by a lower bar, can follow below the central rail.
  • a pleated blind known from DE 89 03 471 U1 has two second cords which engage on the lower bar and which are guided through openings in the pleated blind to the headrail.
  • a cord branch is guided in a circular arc through the pleated blind in the upper, triangular area.
  • a first cord that engages the middle rail is also guided in a circular arc through the pleated blind to the head rail.
  • the cord branch which runs in the form of a circular arc and runs through openings in the pleated blind over a considerably longer distance, has a significantly greater frictional force than the other branch of the cord. This makes it difficult to pull the lower rectangular part of the cover evenly up and down.
  • the middle rail is pivoted together with the raised lower bar in a parallel position to the head rail. This is done by pulling the end of the first cord that ends in the head rail, which has to overcome considerable frictional forces, since it has to be pulled through the openings in the pleated blind. It also exerts undesirable forces on the pleated blind due to its circular-arc guidance in the radial direction.
  • the actively operated cords only act on the lower bar.
  • the middle rail is pivoted passively when the bottom rail has reached the middle rail with the part of the blind located below the middle rail when the curtain is pulled up. This is supported by a cord that acts on the middle rail and is under spring tension.
  • the trapezoidal slatted curtain according to DE-A 32 05 354 does not require a central rail.
  • Two lifting cords assigned to the two side edges are only attached to the lower rail, which can be telescopically extended in order to be able to adapt to the greater length of the upper edge formed by the triangular part of the curtain in the raised state.
  • EP-A 240 065 shows a triangular curtain, the lower rail of which can be raised by a cord which is deflected several times in the upper and lower rail and is guided through the curtain on circular arcs concentric to the pivot point.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a curtain of the type mentioned, which is easy to use and when operating only low friction forces can be overcome.
  • the invention solves this problem in that the fixed end of the first cord is attached to the head rail or after deflection on the head rail near the triangle tip common to the two rails on the central rail and in that the end of the first cord, to which the drive movement engages, is attached to the middle rail is deflected.
  • the lifting force for pivoting the central rail relative to the head rail is therefore transmitted to the central rail by deflecting the first cord. Since the drive movement for pivoting the middle rail acts on the end of the first cord which is deflected on the middle rail and leads away from the openings of the curtain, the cord region guided through the curtain only serves to guide the curtain when it is pulled up and brings about a clean folding or gathering thereof. Because of the deflection of the first cord on the middle rail, only a reduced tensile force has to be transmitted via this arc-shaped cord region. In addition, there are hardly any frictional forces, since when the curtain is pulled up, it slides along this cord and it does not have to be pulled through the pleated blind, as is the case with the curtain known from DE 89 03 471 U1.
  • curtain in the claims and in the description is intended to include pleated blinds (pleated blinds), blinds with slats arranged one above the other and Roman blinds.
  • These types of curtains have in common that when the curtain is pulled up, the curtain material must be unfolded cleanly or the slats must be placed neatly on top of each other.
  • the first cord is passed through openings in the curtain material.
  • These guide openings are usually holes in the curtain material, but they can, for example, also be designed as loops arranged on the curtain.
  • cord in the claims and in the description is intended to be any suitable means of transmitting tensile forces include, for example, chains, wires or the like.
  • head rail “middle rail” and “bottom bar” in the claims and the description are intended to encompass all devices which are suitable for holding or limiting the respective areas of the curtain. For example, in the case of a slatted blind, the lowest slat can also be designed as a lower bar.
  • the fixed end of the first cord guided through the openings of the curtain to the head rail can be fastened to this head rail.
  • the head and middle rails are then pivotally connected to one another at the triangle tip common to them, for example by means of a joint.
  • head and middle rail in the area of their common triangle tip
  • the fixed end of the first cord is deflected on the head rail, led to the end region of the head rail to be connected to the central rail, redirected there again and on the Middle rail is attached.
  • a stopper arranged on the head rail can have the effect that the middle rail in this end region cannot be lowered beyond a predetermined amount relative to the head rail.
  • the end of the first cord which is deflected on the middle rail and on which the drive movement engages is freely guided to a deflection or fastening point arranged in the region of the head rail.
  • free means that no frictional forces (except at the upper and lower deflection point of the line) act on this freely guided line area when the curtain is pulled up or lowered.
  • the curtain according to the invention can only comprise a substantially triangular area, which is then of the head and Middle rail is limited.
  • an essentially rectangular area will also be arranged below this triangular area, the lower end of which is delimited by a lower bar, at least one second cord acting on the lower bar in a force-transmitting manner in order to be able to pull up and lower the substantially rectangular area.
  • Blinds with such an additional rectangular area are basically known in the prior art (DE 89 03 471 U1).
  • the second cord for pulling up the rectangular area from the lower bar is now advantageously led through openings in the curtain to the middle rail, deflected there and out of an end area of the middle rail to one led another deflection or attachment point.
  • the second cord thus does not have to be pulled through the holes in the triangular part of the curtain delimited by the head and middle rails when the lower bar is pulled up, so that considerably lower frictional forces occur.
  • To guide the second cord to the end region of the middle rail it is advantageously designed as a hollow profile. This inventive guiding of the second cord can also be provided for a curtain, the first cord of which is not guided according to the features of claims 1 and 2.
  • the second cord is expediently led out of the end region of the center rail, in which the head and center rails are pivotally connected to one another, and through guides arranged on the head rail to a deflector arranged in the region of the head rail adjacent to the deflection or fastening point for the first cord - or attachment point.
  • the head rail designed as a hollow profile expediently serves as a guide here.
  • the two ends of the first and second cords which are led out of the adjacent deflection points, are expediently connected to one another to form a weighted loop. Additional stoppers at the deflection points can limit the lowering of the curtain. With the correct selection of the mass of the weight, the curtain can be brought continuously into any position and is held there by the frictional forces occurring in the line guides.
  • the connection of the ends of the first and second cords to a loop also facilitates the actuation of the curtain again, since both its rectangular and its triangular part can be completely opened or closed by pulling or lifting a single weight.
  • the curtain has a head rail 1, a middle rail 2 and a lower bar 3, each of which is designed as a hollow profile.
  • the head rail 1 is fastened to the inclined upper edge of a window opening to be shaded.
  • the upper region 4 of the curtain is arranged, which is spread out in a fan shape when lowered.
  • the lower region 5 unfolds rectangularly when lowered.
  • a pleated fabric is mainly used as material for areas 4 and 5 of the curtain.
  • the first cord 7 is fastened in the end region 6 of the middle rail 2. It is guided through an opening in the head rail 1 into the hollow profile thereof and deflected there at a stop 8.
  • the stopper 8 limits the lowering of the end region 6 of the middle rail 2 and thus causes the Center rail 2 relative to the head rail 1 about which the triangular tip common to the two rails 1, 2 can only be pivoted, the end region 6 remaining essentially stationary.
  • the cord 7 is guided in the head rail 1 from the stopper 8 to an opening 26, where it is deflected and guided in a circular arc through the area 4 of the curtain to the middle rail 2.
  • the fold-overlapping curtain has corresponding guide holes, loops or punchings.
  • the center point of the circular arc corresponds approximately to the point about which the center rail 2 rotates when pivoting towards the head rail 1.
  • the cord 7 is then passed through an opening 10 in the central rail 2 into the central rail 2, which is also formed as a hollow profile, deflected there and led out of the end 11 of the central rail 2 (opposite the end 6).
  • the first cord 7 there forms a loop weighted with a weight 14 and merges into the second cord 15.
  • the second cord 15 is closed by an opening 17 in which is arranged adjacent to the opening 13 in the head rail 1 the head rail 1 inserted. It is divided into three cord strands which are guided through the head rail 1 to the end 9 and there into the end 6 of the middle rail 2.
  • the three cord strands 15a, 15b and 15c of the first cord 15 divide in the middle rail 2 and are led out through openings 18, 19 and 20 in the middle rail 2. They then run through guide openings arranged in the curtain or loops or punchings perpendicularly down to the bottom bar 3, there through openings 21, 22 and 23 into the lower bar 3 and are finally attached to the end 24 of the lower bar 3.
  • a stopper 25 on the second cord 15 strikes the opening 17 in the head rail 1 when the lower bar 3 reaches its lower end position.
  • rollers may also be arranged at the deflection points of the cords in order to reduce the friction even further.
  • the middle rail 2 (and also the base 3) is shorter than the head rail 1, the curtain area 4 is not completely supported downwards by the middle rail 2 in the raised state of the curtain, rather there is between the end 11 of the middle rail 2 and the end 12 of the head rail 1 a curtain area not supported by the middle rail 2. This could possibly depend somewhat on its own weight. However, this is prevented by the end of the first cord 7 which is released from the end 11 of the middle rail 2 to the end 12 of the head rail 1 and which here runs below the curtain area 4 and presses it against the head rail 1 and stabilizes it as far as possible. This is supported Stabilizing function by the weight 14, which tightens the mentioned cord area.
  • the curtain is lowered in the reverse order.
  • the middle rail 2 is first lowered into its horizontal position, then the lower bar 3 is lowered.
  • the corresponding areas 4 and 5 of the curtain unfold again.
