Definitions

  • the invention relates to a moistening device for a piece of sales furniture, in particular a refrigerated counter, with the features in the preamble of the main claim.
  • a moistening device for a refrigerated counter with the features of the preamble is known for example from US-A-4 612 777.
  • Such humidifiers are known in practice.
  • the moisture is released into the circulating air flow in the sales furniture via a dispenser.
  • the dispenser usually consists of a long distributor pipe, into which the moisture is fed centrally and distributed along the pipe and then exits the pipe jacket in a wide front.
  • the distributor pipe is fastened inside the sales cabinet and extends along the wall of the sales cabinet. It is therefore difficult to access for cleaning purposes.
  • For dismantling it is necessary to completely empty the sales furniture, in particular a refrigerated counter, and to remove the merchandise shelf along with other built-in parts. Only then can the manifold be removed. It also has to be laboriously removed from the fixed supply line.
  • Also problematic are the possibilities of cleaning the manifold itself, especially cleaning the interior of the pipe. Due to its large length in connection with the central inlet connection and the closed end faces, the interior is difficult to access. A special cleaning process is required, in which hygienically questionable residues of the cleaning agent in the distributor pipe cannot be excluded.
  • the dispenser is only designed as a straight stub tube which is accessible from the outside and is easily detachable in the wall of the sales cabinet.
  • the stub tube can simply be pulled out for cleaning. Emptying the sales furniture and dismantling components of the sales furniture are not necessary.
  • the entire moistening device is preferably arranged outside the sales unit.
  • the parts of the moistening device are arranged on a common slide, which can be quickly and easily installed and removed. This improves the cleaning and hygiene conditions.
  • the stub tube is preferably detachably connected by a coupling to a feed line to a steam generator and can thereby be removed particularly easily.
  • the supply line is also advisable to design the supply line as a multi-part pipe guide and to connect the pipe sections to each other in a detachable manner.
  • the entire arrangement of supply line and stub tube can be dismantled quickly and easily into its individual parts.
  • the tube parts are simple and relatively short, so that they can be cleaned in a dishwasher. The cleaning process only takes a few minutes. It is also possible to have the supply line and the stub pipe twice, so that one device can be exchanged quickly for the other and the operation of the sales furniture does not have to be interrupted or only for a very short time.
  • the humidification device according to the invention With the humidification device according to the invention, shorter cleaning cycles with higher effectiveness are possible, which creates much more favorable hygiene conditions than before. In addition, the construction and costs are lower than with previously known designs.
  • the design and arrangement of the moistening device according to the invention enables retrofitting of existing sales furniture. Existing humidifiers can also be converted.
  • a disinfection device Due to the arrangement and design of the feed line and the stub tube according to the invention, it is easily possible to integrate a disinfection device and, if necessary, also to retrofit it.
  • known humidification devices such disinfection devices are usually arranged in the water supply line or in the steam generator.
  • the disinfection effect is partially nullified by the relatively long running distance of the moisture to the point of exit.
  • disinfection can take place behind the steam generator and with the shortest possible distance from the point of exit of the moisture. This significantly increases the effectiveness.
  • the sterilization device can also act in the steam generator and thereby further increase the effectiveness. Another advantage is the easy accessibility, which makes maintenance and cleaning of the sterilization device much easier.
  • the moisture is fed into the air disturbance essentially point by point and distributes itself into the flow.
  • the dampening effect does not suffer any disadvantages as a result compared to the moisture feed from the known distribution pipe, which occurs across the board.
  • Advantageous refinements of the humidification device, in particular the stub tube and the outlets for optimum moisture feed and distribution in the air flow, are specified in the subclaims.
  • the design and arrangement of the moistening device, in particular of the dispenser, according to the invention can be realized with any kind of sales furniture.
  • this also includes meat display cabinets, refrigerated shelves and other such devices.
  • the humidifier can also be used for hot counters, cake counters or other sales furniture.
  • the humidification device can be designed differently, and the moisture can also be generated in any way.
  • a steam generator is preferably used which generates cold or hot water vapor and is designed, for example, as an ultrasonic atomizer.
  • the stub tube can be arranged directly and detachably without a feed line on the steam generator.
  • Fig. 1 shows a piece of sales furniture (1) with a moistening device (11).
  • a refrigerated counter (1) with an insulated body (2) in which an air flow (7) circulates.
  • the flow can be generated by convection, by fans or in any other way.
  • a goods support base (6) is provided, which is arranged at a distance above the cooling base (4), a cooling unit (5), for example an evaporator, being arranged in the resulting intermediate space.
  • the humidification device is located on the rear wall (3) of the refrigerated counter (1), but can also be located at any other point.
  • the air flow (7) circulates in the manner shown over the product support floor (6) to the counter front, enters the space below the cooling floor (4) and is returned to the rear of the counter. There it arrives in a vertical flow channel (9) in which it rises and exits again above the rear edge of the product support floor (6).
  • Panels (10) can be arranged to control the air flow.
  • an upstanding screen (10) is provided on the rear edge of the goods support base (6).
  • a diaphragm (10) extending downward can also be present.
  • the panel (s) (10) with the counter rear wall (3) form the flow channel (9).
  • the humidification device (11) has a dispenser (14), via which the moisture (13) is fed into the air flow (7) essentially point by point.
  • the dispenser (14) is designed as a straight stub tube (15) which is inserted in the rear wall of the counter (3) and is detachably fastened there via a holder (16) (cf. FIG. 2).
  • the stub tube (15) is preferably located in the lower region of the flow channel (9) and only protrudes a short distance from the wall (3). It extends transversely to the direction of flow of the air flow (7) and also transversely to the longitudinal axis (8) of the refrigerated counter (1).
  • the preferably straight and cylindrical stub tube (15) is closed at the front end by a cap (20).
  • a plurality of outlets (17) from which the moisture (13) emerges from the stub tube (15) are arranged in the tubular jacket at the front end. 2 and 3 illustrate, two outlets (17) are designed as slots (18) and an outlet (17) as a substantially circular hole (19).
  • the two slots (18) extend over an arc angle of approx. 90 ° and are arranged symmetrically to the vertical center line through the pipe cross-section (cf. FIG. 3) and to the air flow (7).
  • the moisture (13) emerges from the slots (18) partially frontally against or at an angle to the air flow direction (7).
  • the right slot (18) according to FIG. 3 extends approximately from 60 ° to 150 ° and the left slot (18) extends from 210 ° to 300 ° in relation to a 360 ° circle with a zero point located at the top.
  • a web remains between the slots (18).
  • the hole (19) is located in the middle upper area of the stub tube (15). In this way, a shadow of the emerging moisture (13) above the stub tube (15) is avoided.
  • the moisture (13) in the outlet arrangement shown emerges from the stub tube (15) in an almost closed circular ring.
  • the stub tube (15) protrudes with its outlets (17) only a short distance over the wall (3).
  • the wall distance of the outlets (17) is approximately 1 to 4 cm.
  • the stub tube (15) has a jet width of approximately 1 m to the left and right at the outlet and the distribution of the moisture (13). Due to the essentially point-by-point moisture feed, a moisture distribution over an approx. 2 m width can be achieved Flow front of the air (7) can be achieved.
  • a stub tube (15) is thus arranged every two meters in the longitudinal axis (8).
  • Each stub tube (15) is preferably also assigned its own moistening device (11). Alternatively, central generation and feeding of the moisture is also possible.
  • the stub tube (15) is connected to a steam generator (12) via a feed line (21).
  • a coupling (24), here for example a bayonet coupling, is provided at the connection point between the feed line (21) and the stub tube (15).
  • 5 shows an alternative in the form of plug connections. The stub tube (15) and the feed line (21) can thereby be quickly connected and detached from one another.
  • the stub tube (15) is longitudinally adjustable in the wall (3) via a socket (16).
  • the stub tube (15) can be inserted from the outside through the counter wall (3).
  • a stop, a screwed nut or the like can be provided.
  • the stub tube (15) can also be locked in the wall (3) via the socket (16), which is done, for example, by a clamp socket.
  • the stub tube (15) can thus be inserted from the outside into the refrigerated counter (1) and removed again.
  • the feed line (21) consists, for example, of two pipe sections (22, 23) which are detachably connected to one another and preferably also adjustable in length.
  • a coupling (24) is provided, which is designed, for example, as a union nut.
  • the lower pipe section, which is designed as a straight nozzle (23) can be inserted or pulled out in the upper elbow-like pipe section (22).
  • the nozzle (23) is also arranged on the steam generator (12) so that it can be adjusted in height.
  • the steam generator (12) is designed, for example, as an ultrasonic atomizer. It is connected to a fresh water supply (not shown) and generates a moisture (13) in the form of a cold vapor or mist, which can be connected to a fan (28) or in another suitable manner through the feed line (21) and the stub tube (15) the air flow (7) is promoted.
  • FIG. 5 described below shows further details. The conveying and feeding in of the moisture (13) can take place with more or less pressure, depending on the type of humidification effects desired.
  • Fig. 4 shows a variant of the feed line (21) with a built-in disinfection device (26).
  • the pipe section (22) is in this case designed as a T-pipe (25) and has an upstanding connection piece.
  • the disinfection device (26) is pluggable in this. It consists, for example, of a UV lamp which is inserted into the interior of the tube and protrudes beyond the branching point of the T-tube (25).
  • the UV lamp (26) is attached to the T-tube (25) with a suitable closure and can be simply plugged on and off.
  • the UV lamp preferably has a U-shaped tube. This is poured into a watertight socket and is fastened to the tube section (22) with this socket. A suitable circuit for the operation of the UV lamp is also integrated in the socket.
  • the sterilization device (26) is arranged at the branching point or in the kink area of the T-tube (25) and, on the one hand, the rising moisture (13) flows around it over a longer distance.
  • the ultraviolet light also radiates downwards into the steam generator (12) and into its water tank. This not only disinfects the moisture (13), but also the incoming water.
  • Figure (5) shows a variant of the stub tube (15) and its feed line (21).
  • the cap (20) at the front end of the stub tube (15) is designed as a removable sealing plug (37) with a suitable seal.
  • the seal also holds the plug against the back pressure of the moist air flow.
  • the sealing plug (37) can be removed for cleaning purposes.
  • a similar sealing plug (37) can also sit on the feed line (21) or the T-tube (25).
  • the feed line (21) consists of two straight pipe sections (22, 23) which are connected to one another in a longitudinally adjustable manner by means of a molded sliding sleeve (35).
  • the stub tube (15) is inserted laterally into the upper tube section (22) via a corresponding opening.
  • the coupling (24) is designed here as a jack with a suitable seal, for example an O-ring.
  • a centering lug (36) on the stub tube (15) can be provided, which engages in a corresponding bulge at the opening of the upper tube section (22) in a form-fitting manner.
  • the straight pipe sections have the advantage that they are easy to disassemble and then easy to clean.
  • the parts consist of a material that is resistant to UV rays, such as Teflon or another suitable plastic.
  • FIG (5) further illustrates the structure of the moistening device (11). It consists among other things from the steam generator (12), here in the form of an ultrasonic atomizer with a water container (39) arranged above it, a water inlet (33), a water overflow (38) and a fan (28) together with an upstream filter (29). Except for the steam generator (12) and the fan (28), the parts mentioned are fastened together on a slide (27).
