Definitions
- the invention relates to a holding device of a wall lamp with a base-like protruding holding plate to be fastened to a wall and a lamp body which in turn is arranged on the holding plate so as to be pivotable and optionally detachable, and which has a housing which overlaps the edge contour of the holding plate.
- Such wall lights with a mounting plate to be installed on site, to which the actual lamp body is then attached, are known in various designs. Plug and / or screw connections are usually used to hold the luminaire body. Hinge brackets are also common, especially for luminaires that need to be opened from time to time after they have been installed, for example when changing lamps. A special problem with all these wall lights is usually the electrical connection because the lamp body is mostly held by hand during the corresponding work. Therefore, an individual can hardly accomplish such a work alone, especially with heavy luminaire bodies.
- a mounting plate has been proposed in DE 36 25 466 C2, for example, which has a terminal strip with plug contacts. Lateral projections are formed on the plate, and the lamp body has correspondingly assigned counter-projections which engage behind the plate when the lamp body is pushed on laterally and center both parts with one another. When sliding open, the electrical contact is made via a plug connection and a latch locks the luminaire body and plate together.
- This type of mounting of the luminaire body requires a thin holding plate, which is ultimately not recognizable in its contours, and also undercuts in the housing, which cannot be easily implemented for manufacturing and design reasons, particularly in the case of high-quality luminaires.
- the invention has for its object to provide for a wall lamp of the type mentioned, in particular with a relatively heavy lamp body, a holding device that is practical and simple in construction, allows a meaningful installation by one person alone, and with simple operation the completely installed wall lamp is invisible from the outside.
- the invention is advantageous in that the holding plate can be easily attached to a wall without the lamp body and can be connected electrically without risk. Only then is the lamp body, which is many times heavier, hooked into the flap with its hook and held automatically, preferably being supported approximately at right angles to the wall in an open position. In this position, the electrical connection can be easily established via an existing plug connection between the luminaire body and the wall plate, and maintenance work can also be carried out. Only by swiveling the luminaire body and simultaneously moving it vertically can the luminaire body with its open back be lifted over the outer contour of the holding plate and hooked and secured on the top of it. The wall lamp with a perfect design of the edge joint between the lamp body and the holding plate can thus be installed easily and easily by one person.
- the holding device is part of a wall lamp 1 shown by way of example, which is formed from a lamp body 2 with a holding plate 3.
- the Luminaire body 2 preferably has a prismatic housing 2a for accommodating an electrical block (not shown), and a curved light head 2b arranged fixedly on the housing and having a light exit surface 2c on the upper side which serves for indirect lighting.
- the housing 2a engages with its open rear side 2a 'frame-like, the base plate projecting holding plate 3 to be fastened to a wall 4, so that its circumferential edge contour 3a is visible as a shadow gap in the width provided by the designer.
- the tab 5 designed as a flat sheet metal part has on its upper side two lateral projections 5a and on its underside a cutout 5b arranged in such a way that only a narrow edge strip 5c remains, which is practically effective as a hinge pin.
- the tab 5 is guided and held in a bridge-like web 3b which is formed on the side of the holding plate 3 facing away from the wall 4 and which engages over the parallel central part of the tab.
- the side lugs 5a serve as a stop for the lower end position (Fig. 2).
- the cutout 5b of the tab is located below the holding plate 3 and is freely accessible, so that a hook 2d arranged on the underside of the housing 2a can be hooked over the edge strip 5c and practically forms a hinge sleeve.
- the almost closed hook 2d is shaped so that in the lower end position of the tab 5 a comfortable manual hooking of the lamp body from the wall side is possible, but an automatic release in the pivoting range of the housing of about 90 degrees is excluded.
- the lamp body 2 can be raised by swiveling by hand in the direction of arrow A around the edge strip 5c acting as a hinge axis and simultaneous displacement in the direction of arrow B until the open rear side 2a ' completely covers the front side 3c of the holding plate 3 (according to FIG. 1).
- the tab 5 held by the web 3b is shifted like a sled in the direction of the center of the holding plate 3, so that the cutout 5b now comes to rest on the closed front side 3c of the holding plate.
- hook 2d is still rotatable, but no longer tolerable lifting or even unhooking of the housing is excluded.
- the housing held on one side by the tab in the manner described above then engages with its upper side 2e over the upper edge contour of the holding plate 3 and then lies there.
- the housing with an undercut, not shown fits precisely in position via a threaded projection 3d on the holding plate and is thus automatically held in the operating position.
- the holding plate 3 which is initially separated from the lamp body 2, is fastened to the wall 4 via merely indicated oblong or key holes 3e, for example by means of dowels and screws.
- the electrical lines 4a installed on site are also routed and connected from the rear to a mains connection terminal 3f of the holding plate by means of corresponding cable entries.
- the tab 5 if it is still included as a loose part, can now be inserted into the bridge-like web 3b from above and automatically falls into its lower end position due to its weight (FIG. 2).
- the lamp body can be hung by a person with the hook 2d into the tab 5, after which it can be folded down at a right angle to the wall 4 with its underside 2f and temporarily comes to rest there.
- the electrical connection from the connection terminal 3f to the electrical block of the housing can be established via a pre-wired socket part 2g.
- a lamp change or other maintenance work on the wall lamp is also easily possible in this position.
- the lamp body can be brought into the operating position in the manner of arrows A and B in the manner already described.
- only the lamp body is to be secured by means of screw 6. The entire attachment of the lamp body to the holding plate or on the wall is thus practically invisible, reliable and solved in a design-optimal manner.
