Claims (22)

  1. Verfahren, um ein Bild auf einen Gegenstand (A) zu drucken, wobei das Verfahren einen ersten Schritt, bei dem das Bild auf einem Band (R) ausgebildet wird, indem wahlweise ein warmschmelzender Farbstoff thermisch von einem flexiblen Farbband (R) auf eine Fläche eines flexiblen Trägerbands (N, R) unter Verwendung eines thermischen Punkt-Druckkopfs (H) übertragen wird, sowie einen zweiten Schritt aufweist, bei dem das positive Bild unter Verwendung eines erwärmten Kissens (P), das ein Heizelement (10; 63; HR) besitzt, auf den Gegenstand (A) übertragen wird;
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß für die Übertragung des Bilds auf den Gegenstand (A) ein Wärmeübertragungselement (13; HP; RP), das sich vom Heizelement (10; 63; HR) unterscheidet und aus einem weichen Material besteht, mit dem Heizelement (10; 63; HR) zu einem Wärmeaustausch gebracht und dann zu dem das Bild tragenden Band (R) gebracht und gegen dieses gedrückt wird, um das Bild unter Druck auf den Gegenstand (A) zu übertragen.
  2. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das positive Bild während des ersten Schritts auf einer Fläche des Farbbands (R) ausgebildet wird, und daß das positive Bild während des zweiten Schritts von der Fläche des Farbbands (R) auf den Gegenstand (A) übertragen wird.
  3. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das positive Bild auf einem Teil des Farbbands (R) dadurch ausgebildet wird, daß jener Teil des Farbstoffs auf dem Teil des Farbbands (R), der dem Negativ des Bilds entspricht, thermisch auf ein Hilfsband (N) übertragen wird, worauf das positive Bild vom Teil des Farbbands (R) thermisch auf den Gegenstand (A) übertragen wird.
  4. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das positive Bild auf einem Teil der eingefärbten Fläche des Farbbands (R) dadurch ausgebildet wird, daß jener Teil des Farbstoffs, der dem Negativ des Bilds entspricht, auf einen Teil der anderen Fläche des Bands (R) übertragen wird.
  5. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das positive Bild auf einem Teil der nichteingefärbten Fläche des Farbbands (R) dadurch ausgebildet wird, daß jener Teil des Farbstoffs auf einem Teil der eingefärbten Fläche, der dem positiven Bild entspricht, auf einen Teil der nichteingefärbten Fläche übertragen wird.
  6. Vorrichtung, um ein Bild auf Gegenstände (A) zu drucken, wobei die Vorrichtung enthält:
    ein Chassis (G, L, M), das dazu dient, um neben der Bahn der Gegenstände (A) angeordnet zu werden, und das enthält:
    eine geführte Zuführeinrichtung (1, 2, R1-R14), um ein Farbband (R) sowie ein flexibles Trägerband (N, R) längs vorgegebener Bahnen (F1), die nebeneinander liegen, zumindest in einen vorgegebenen Bereich vorzuschieben,
    einen thermischen Punkt-Druckkopf (H), der im vorgegebenen Bereich angeordnet ist,
    eine Steuereinrichtung (C), um den Druckkopf (H) zu steuern, um wahlweise Farbstoff vom Farbband (R) auf eine Fläche des flexiblen Trägerbands (N, R) im Übertragungsbereich zu übertragen,
    eine Wärmeübertragungseinrichtung (P) mit einem Heizelement (10; 63; HR) sowie einer bewegbaren aktiven Fläche (13; HP; RP) an einer Stelle, die betriebsmäßig der Bahn der Gegenstände (A) gegenüberliegt, und
    eine Betätigungseinrichtung (20), um die aktive Fläche (13; HP; RP) der Wärmeübertragungseinrichtung (P) zu einem Gegenstand (A) zu bewegen, um Farbstoff unter Druck thermisch von einem Farbband (R) auf den Gegenstand (A) zu übertragen,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wärmeübertragungseinrichtung (P) ein Wärmeübertragungselement (13; HP; RP) aufweist, das aus einem weichen Material besteht und die aktive Fläche bildet; wobei sich das Wärmeübertragungselement (13; HP; RP) vom Heizelement (10; 63; HR) unterscheidet und dazu dient, um mit dem Heizelement (10; 63; HR) zu einem Wärmeaustausch gebracht und dann zu dem das Bild tragenden Band (R) gebracht und gegen dieses gedrückt zu werden, um das Bild unter Druck auf den Gegenstand (A) zu übertragen.
  7. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Steuereinrichtung (C) so aufgebaut ist, um den Druckkopf (H) so zu steuern, daß das positive Bild, das auf den Gegenstand (A) gedruckt werden soll, auf einer Fläche des Farbbands (R) ausgebildet wird, und daß die geführte Zuführeinrichtung (1, 2; R1-R14) für das Farbband (R) eine Bahn bilden kann, von der ein Teil zwischen der aktiven Fläche der Wärmekissen-Übertragungseinrichtung (P) und der Bahn der Gegenstände (A) stromabwärts des Druckkopfs (H) verläuft.
  8. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die geführte Zuführeinrichtung (1, 2, R1-R14) enthält:
    eine erste Abwickelspule (1) und eine zweite motorgetriebene Aufwickelspule (2), die am Beginn bzw. am Ende der vorgegebenen Bahn (F1) des Farbbands (R) angeordnet sind, wobei ein Teil der Bahn (F1) neben der aktiven Fläche (13) der Wärmekissen-Übertragungseinrichtung (P) verläuft,
    eine zweite Abwickelspule (4) sowie eine zugeordnete zweite Aufwickelspule (5), die am Anfang bzw. am Ende der Bahn (F2) eines Hilfsbands (N) angeordnet sind, das das flexible Trägerband bildet.
  9. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die geführte Zuführeinrichtung eine Abwickelspule und eine Aufwickelspule für das Farbband (R) sowie
    eine Führungseinrichtung (R30-R33; Fig. 3; Fig. 4) besitzt, um das Farbband (R) längs einer im wesentlichen schleifenartigen Bahn stromabwärts der Abwickelspule so zu führen, daß im Betrieb ein erster Teil (R') und ein zweiter Teil (R'') des Farbbands (R) gleichzeitig und übereinander am thermischen Druckkopf (H) vorbeilaufen, so daß die eingefärbte Fläche des ersten Teils (R') der nichteingefärbten Fläche des zweiten Teils (R'') gegenüberliegt.
  10. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Steuereinrichtung (C) so aufgebaut ist, um den Druckkopf (H) so zu steuern, um auf der eingefärbten Fläche des Farbbands (R) das positive Bild auszubilden, und daß die geführte Zuführeinrichtung für das Farbband (R) eine Bahn festlegen kann, die einen Teil enthält, in dem jene Fläche des Farbbands (R), die ursprünglich eingefärbt war, stromabwärts des Druckkopfs (H) den Gegenständen (A) gegenüberliegt.
  11. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Steuereinrichtung (C) so aufgebaut ist, um den Druckkopf (H) so zu steuern, um auf der (ursprünglich) nichteingefärbten Fläche des Farbbands (R) das positive Bild auszubilden, und daß die geführte Zuführeinrichtung für das Farbband (R) eine Bahn festlegen kann, die einen Teil enthält, in dem jene Fläche des Farbbands (R), die ursprünglich nicht eingefärbt war, stromabwärts des Druckkopfs (H) den Gegenständen (A) gegenüberliegt.
  12. Vorrichtung gemäß irgendeinem der Ansprüche 6 bis 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wärmeübertragungseinrichtung (P) von einem Arm (F) gehalten wird, der sich relativ zum Chassis (G, L, M) verschwenken kann, und daß die Betätigungseinrichtung eine Einrichtung (51-53) enthält, damit sich der Arm (F) zwischen einer angehobenen Ruhestellung und einer abgesenkten Stellung bewegen kann, um die Bilder auf die Gegenstände (A) zu drucken.
  13. Vorrichtung gemäß irgendeinem der Ansprüche 6 bis 12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wärmeübertragungseinrichtung (P) einen Körper (10) aus einem wärmeleitenden Material besitzt, dem eine gesteuerte Heizeinrichtung (11) zugeordnet ist, wobei er eine Hauptfläche (10a) besitzt, der eine Membrane (13) aus einem elastischen Werkstoff zugeordnet ist, die dazu dient, um mit dem Farbband (R) in Berührung gebracht zu werden, das jenes Bild trägt, das auf den Gegenstand (A) übertragen werden soll; wobei die Membrane (13) am Körper (10) so befestigt ist, daß sie relativ zur Hauptfläche (10a) des Körpers (10) folgende Stellungen einnehmen kann:
    eine erste Stellung (Fig. 6), in der sie an der Hauptfläche (10a) anhaftet und vom Körper (10) erwärmt werden kann, und
    eine zweite Stellung (Fig. 7), in der sie von der Fläche (10a) des leitenden Körpers (10) wegbewegt ist und das flexible Band (N, R) berühren kann, um das Bild thermisch auf einen Gegenstand (A) zu übertragen; wobei eine Betätigungseinrichtung (20) vorgesehen ist, um die Membrane (13) aus ihrer ersten Stellung in ihre zweite Stellung und umgekehrt zu bewegen.
  14. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der leitende Körper (10) zumindest einen Kanal (15) besitzt, der sich in die Hauptfläche (10a) öffnet, und daß die Betätigungseinrichtung eine Einrichtung (20) aufweist, um den Kanal (15) wahlweise mit einem unter Druck stehenden Fluid anzuspeisen, um die Membrane (13) aus ihrer ersten Stellung in ihre zweite Stellung zu bewegen.
  15. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Vorrichtung eine Einrichtung enthält, um an den Kanal (15) einen Unterdruck anzulegen, um die Membrane (13) aus ihrer zweiten Stellung in ihre erste Stellung zu bewegen.
  16. Vorrichtung gemäß irgendeinem der Ansprüche 13 bis 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Membrane (13) aus einem wärmeleitenden Silikonwerkstoff besteht.
  17. Vorrichtung gemäß irgendeinem der Ansprüche 13 bis 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der leitende Körper (10) aus Aluminium oder einer Legierung davon besteht.
  18. Vorrichtung gemäß irgendeinem der Ansprüche 6 bis 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wärmeübertragungseinrichtung (P) enthält:
    ein Kissen (HP), das von einem Halterungselement (60) getragen wird, das relativ zum Chassis (M) zwischen einer zurückgezogenen Ruhestellung und einer vorgeschobenen Druckstellung bewegbar ist,
    eine Heizeinrichtung (63), die im Chassis (M) bewegbar gelagert ist und eine Arbeitsstellung, in der sie so angeordnet werden kann, daß ein Wärmeaustausch mit einer aktiven Fläche des Kissens (HP) erfolgt, wenn sich das Kissen in der zurückgezogenen Stellung befindet, sowie eine Ruhestellung einnehmen kann, in der sich das Kissen (HP) zwischen seiner zurückgezogenen und seiner vorgeschobenen Stellung bewegen kann.
  19. Vorrichtung gemäß irgendeinem der Ansprüche 5 bis 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wärmeübertragungseinrichtung (P) enthält:
    ein Walzenkissen (RP), das drehbar und relativ zum Chassis (M) bewegbar ist und einen Überzug aus einem wärmeleitenden Material besitzt,
    eine Heizeinrichtung (HR), die mit der Oberfläche des Walzenkissens (RP) in einen Wärmeaustausch treten kann,
    eine erste Einrichtung (EM, 73-76), die das Walzenkissen (RP), das mit der Heizeinrichtung (HR) in Berührung steht, in Drehung versetzen kann, und
    eine zweite Einrichtung (71, 72), die das Walzenkissen (RP) zwischen einer angehobenen Wartestellung und einer abgesenkten Druckstellung bewegen kann.
  20. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 19, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Heizeinrichtung (HR) eine Heizwalze (HR) enthält, die sich in Berührung mit der Oberfläche des Walzenkissens (RP) drehen kann.
  21. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 19 oder 20, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich die Wärmekissen-Übertragungseinrichtung (P) relativ zum Chassis (G, L, M) im wesentlichen horizontal bewegen kann.
  22. Verwendung der Vorrichtung gemäß einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 6 bis 21, um ein Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5 auszuführen.
