Definitions

  • the invention relates to a universal roll stand with horizontally and vertically mounted rolls which are adjustably mounted in two parallel roll stands.
  • the upper cross yoke is divided into two in a known universal stand construction, so that it can be swung out and back again after the roll change and clamp-locked with the rest of the stand part.
  • the chocks that hold the rollers are freely accessible and can be removed from the frame via the window recesses.
  • additional swivel mechanisms for example in the form of additional hydraulic swivel cylinders.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a universal rolling stand of the type mentioned, which allows simple construction and operation.
  • the horizontal rollers are received without assembly from bearings arranged in the roller stands, the operator-side roller stand facing away from the drive elements with the bearings in the rolling axis direction of the horizontal rollers can be moved away from the other roller stand and the vertical rollers stored in cassettes are fixed guide frames connected to the roller stands are inserted.
  • the invention is based on the fundamental consideration that, by moving the operator-side roll stand, which is known per se in the case of other types of roll stands, a universal roll stand which is completely free of assembly can be realized. After moving the operator-side roll stand, not only the horizontal, but also the vertical rolls are exposed and are accessible from inside the pulled-apart roll stand.
  • the chocks that are otherwise required for changing the rolls, in particular those of the vertical rolls, can be omitted in the completely new construction of a universal roll stand resulting from the invention, since the guide frame which is firmly connected to the roll stands fulfills all the tasks otherwise assumed by the chock of a vertical roll.
  • a cassette carrying the vertical roller can thus be brought directly into the installation position in the roller stand required for the rolling operation, namely by inserting it into the guide frame, that is, it is no longer necessary to travel through an installation piece.
  • the guide frames therefore advantageously point from cassette recesses accessible from the inside through the roller stands, for example in the form of sliding guides that facilitate insertion.
  • the guide frames are firmly connected to the roller stands via tie rods.
  • the guide frames could also be made in one piece with the roller stands as a cast part, a multi-part construction offers advantages in terms of production which, in particular, permit inexpensive burning out of the roller stands and guide frames from a slab and thus a simple steel structure.
  • the fixed connection to be achieved via the bracing, by means of two or four tie rods, is such that the guide frame lying horizontally after its attachment is able to absorb the rolling forces that occur.
  • the guide frames are in two parts and consist of a cassette support part with an externally placed crosshead.
  • the crosshead and the cassette support part are fixed to the roller stand via the tie rods.
  • the two-part construction of the guide frame offers the advantage that the vertical roller adjustment systems can be arranged in the crossheads.
  • a vertical roll adjustment system is recommended as a pass-through stand, which consists of a wedge adjustment and inserts pressed against the cassette by this.
  • the universal rolling mill which works in continuous or continuous operation, is thus given a one-off job, for which the inserts are attached to the cassette from behind in the web area.
  • the inserts compensate for the twisting dimension of the vertical rolls and allow the roll gap to be adjusted to profiles of different widths.
  • the wedge adjustment is used for fine adjustment, for example with an adjustment path of +/- 5 mm, so that the wear on the rollers and the spring deflection of the universal rolling stand can be corrected.
  • the simple design of the universal roll stand can be supported by all manual adjustments, e.g. with a ratchet placed on the adjustment wedge; nevertheless, e.g. also hydraulic or electric motors. This is especially the case when the universal roll stand works in reverse operation.
  • a hydraulic cylinder could be inserted between the crosshead and the cassette, where the shims are arranged for the mechanical wedge adjustment; it could also be possible to position the entire crosshead against the cassette carrier part and thus the cassette with the vertical roller, for example in the form of two adjusting spindles arranged in mechanically synchronized, driven adjusting nuts.
  • a U-shaped supporting part is advantageously arranged between the cassettes and the roller adjustment systems, it can be moved towards the rear, i.e. achieve good support for the vertical rolling forces on the side facing away from the roll gap or the rolling line, namely via the web-shaped section of the U-shaped support part which offers a large contact surface.
  • the cassette itself and thus the interchangeable part to be pushed into and removed from the guide frame only consists of an upper and a lower plate as well as a support shaft fastened in the plates with a bearing for the vertical roller.
  • the universal roll stand according to the invention can be operated with one-piece horizontal rolls. However, if, as an alternative, multi-part horizontal rollers braced by a tie rod to form a unit are used, the simple and Promote the economical construction of the universal roll stand according to the invention, because if the roll body is worn out, it is no longer necessary to replace the entire horizontal roll, but only the roll ring.
  • the horizontal rollers are arranged in eccentrics that are adjustable by a worm gear.
  • the horizontal rollers can be adjusted to the desired pitch by means of the worm gear rotating the eccentric.
  • the cassettes on their inner sides facing the roll gap are provided with a spectacle-like bezel, which is acted upon by the rolling stock side guides on the inlet and outlet sides, the cassettes, e.g. hydraulically backwards, press against the adjustment system and thus achieve a balance.
  • a universal roll stand 1 has a drive stand 3 connected to a base plate 2 and a movable stand 4 on the operator side.
  • the roll stands 3, 4 are arranged parallel to one another and act to move or drive away the operator-side roll stand 4 an adjusting cylinder 5 with its piston rod 6.
  • the position of the operator-side roller stand 4 moved away from the roller stand 3 is shown in dash-dot lines in FIG. 1 (compare the roller stand numbered 4 'there).
  • an upper and a lower horizontal roller 7, 8 and two vertical rollers 9 are arranged, without an assembly.
  • the horizontal rollers 7, 8 are constructed in several parts (compare the upper half of FIG. 1) and consist of two support shafts 11, 12, one of which is mounted in the drive-side roller stand 3 and the other in the operator-side roller stand 4 via bearings 13; they enclose a rolling ring 14 between them and are clamped together to form a unit by a tie rod 15 which is inserted from the operating side through the support shaft 12 and extends to the support shaft 11.
  • the bearings 13 of the horizontal rolls 7, 8 are located directly in the roll stands 3, 4; however, they are enclosed there by eccentric sleeves 16 which are arranged in a sliding bush 17; in addition, the eccentrics 16 are provided with a worm wheel 18 which meshes with a worm shaft 19 which is operated by hand.
  • the worm gear 21 (worm wheel 18 and worm shaft 19) for the upper and the lower horizontal roller 7, 8 are connected by a common cardan shaft 22 and the worm gear 21 of the upper horizontal roller are connected to each other from the drive to the operator-side stand 3, 4 by a cardan shaft 22 A. and thus mechanically synchronized (see Figures 2 and 3).
  • the rotary movement of the worm shafts 19 is transmitted via the Worm gears 18 and the eccentrics 16 on the support shafts 11, 12 of the multi-part horizontal rollers 7, 8 which, depending on the direction of rotation of the worm gear 21, either move away from one another or approach one another.
  • the vertical rollers 9 are also arranged in the roller stands 3, 4 without any installation parts, specifically in horizontal lateral guide frames 23. These are formed in two parts and consist of a cassette carrier part 24 and a crosshead 25 placed thereon from the outside (see Figure 3).
  • the guide frame 23, ie the cassette carrier part 24 and the crosshead 25 are so tightly clamped to the roller stands 3, 4 via four tie rods 26 (cf. FIG. 4) that they can absorb the vertical rolling forces occurring in the rolling operation.
  • the guide frames 23 are provided with a cassette recess 27, into which - after the roller stands 3, 4 have moved apart into the position of the roller stand 4 'shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG.
  • the cassette 29 is assigned a U-shaped support part 30, which is inserted with its web pointing outwards towards the crosshead 25 into the cassette recess 27, so that the crosshead 25 of the guide frame 23 has a large contact surface of the cassette 29, namely indirectly via the support part 30 is facing.
  • the vertical roller adjustment system 31 is arranged, which is designed in the form of a wedge adjustment 32, in which the adjustment wedge is manually adjustable via a threaded spindle 33.
  • the wedge adjustment 32 which is used for fine adjustment, exerts an adjusting force on the cassette 29 and thus the vertical roller 9 via inserts 34 inserted between the crosshead 25 and the cassette 29 and fastened to the supporting part 30.
  • the cassettes 29 are provided with an eyeglass-like bezel 36 which extends outwards from the rolling stock side guides 37, which lie against the bezels 36. in the direction of the roller adjustment system 31; they thus balance the vertical rollers 9 or the cassettes 29.
  • the force pressing the cassettes 29 towards the rear is applied by the cylinders 38 which adjust the rolling material side guides 37.
  • the tie rods 39 connecting the two roller stands 3, 4 of the universal roll stand 1 are released and the tie rods 15 bracing the horizontal rollers 7, 8 are released.
  • the adjusting cylinder 5 then moves the roller stand 4 on the operator side away from the roller stand 3 into the position shown in broken lines in FIG.
  • the support shafts 12, the bearings 13 and the eccentric bushes 16 along with worm drive 21 (worm shaft 19 and worm wheel 18) remain in their fixed installation position.
  • both the roller rings 14 of the horizontal rollers 7, 8 and the cassettes 29 with the vertical rollers 9 are freely accessible from the inside.
  • the rolling rings 14 and / or the cassettes 29 with the vertical rollers 9 can then be removed from their installation position on the support shafts 12 or in the cassette carrier part 24 of the guide frame 23 and by newly fitted cassettes or new rolling rings replace.
  • the universal roll stand 1 is ready for use again.
